Re: OOC 2
Not going to have too much time for posting today, but I wanted to pop in to make a brief comment:

Not every word that leaves an NPC's mouth is gospel fact.  They're just as prone to hyperbole, exaggeration, error, ironic self-deprecation, etc. as any of the rest of us.

In fact, given that sarcasm is my preferred mode of communicating with the outside world, it's more likely that an NPC's words aren't exactly meant to be taken literally. ;)

If in doubt, just ask yourselves, "Is he really suggesting we try to bribe the 200,000+ crew members of an Imperial Star Destroyer with a single case of Rodian brandy?  Or is he just waxing sarcastic about the failure of the previous gambit?"

Or, y'know, words to that effect.  That question will really only work for a very narrow subset of circumstances and shouldn't be applied to all scenarios.

Although, if you choose to do so, I will thoroughly enjoy watching the train of thought such questioning will inspire. :D

Re: OOC 2
Maverick may act all tough and mature and adult-like... but in the end, he is still a kid. ;) So of course he'll take half of the sarcasm literally.

It's why a lot of kid's shows make things like sarcasm blatantly obvious. :D

But thanks for the heads-up! I'll keep it in mind.

You only need to bribe one person really: they guy in charge of the ship. Since insubordination is pretty much punishable by death (Force Choke anyone? Or perhapd a vibrosword through the chest?), no one in the crew will dare question a superior's orders. SO even with a Star Destroyer, a single case of Rodian Brandy can go quite far.

Re: OOC 2
So, a friend was reading today's Cracked article and he thought up this:

Roight, boss, so 'ere's de fing. We'ze figgered out dat, when a trukk is movin', da wheelz iz da part wut moves fastest, see? So we finked, if we scrap all da trukks, and make 'em into ded big killy wheels, and paint 'em all red, dere won't be nuffin' fasta! And dat's when we 'ad our second idea: if fighta-bommas is fast, it's coz dey gots da dead choppy bits in front, roight? So oi sez to meself, why don't we put more front choppas on EVERYFING wut us meks make!

So ta answer yer kwestion, boss, dat's why yer Waaaaagh! don't have trukks or fighta-bommas no more.

Boss? Yer... yer choking me, boss... urk!

What I find even more funny is know-it-all mockers who point and laugh at "it'll never work" ideas only for those same ideas to wind up in widespread use, or forgetting that some of those ideas already DID work:

Okay, that's another month without so much as a peep out of Daeg.  He's now officially an NPC until I have no further use for him.

Sucks that he bailed, I thought he was fitting in nicely. :/

But, c'est la vie...

I don't get why people just can't send a one-liner saying goodbye!  Just no excuse in this multi media world.

....I just can't fathom swinging an expensive piece of equipment at someone unless my life depended on it. And even then, chances are I'd have something better to use as a weapon and probably wouldn't even think to use a laptop. XD

I'm sure Bulyip has a better Blaster skill too.  He might need to be firing soon.

I'm adding this to my second-favorite place you guys have shot your way out of.

So far, nothing trumps the impound lot.  But this is close. :D

Was the impound lot the one with the burning crashed speeder bike? I thought that one was fun.

NO, it was the space station where you guys ended up having to fight your way out of what should've been a perfectly lawful and combat-free retrieval of the Sun Tracker. ;)
