A cave on the edge of town someones gone to a lot of trouble to make it livable the cave being packed with finery

Iris jumped out of the Gysbournemobile and covered the other's exit with a... laser pointer? At any rate, she had it aimed at the cave entrance.

Ozzy parallel parked the car on the side of whatever road lead to the cave, before exiting the car himself.

"Huh. A cave, huh? Interesting. I wonder what's in there..." he wondered out loud as he and Grandpa Oswald got out of the car.

Grandpa turned to Iris, "Iris, be a dear and send in some of those drones you were talking about, would you? My magic is blocked, unfortunately, and even if it does work, I think whoever blocked it would be able to sense my second sight."

Victoria conjured her Black Jaguar costume, then followed along with the others.

Iris nodded and reached into a pocket on her jacket. She pulled out several tiny, dull metal things with what appeared to be legs and set them on the ground, sending them scampering into the cave once she installed the remote control, a glove-like device with a small viewscreen on the top of her hand. The screen showed what the drones were 'seeing' through tiny cameras.

THe drones find the cave has been elaborately decorated in finery. Eventually the drones come across Meg bound and unconcious on top of a four poster bed.

Ex landed outside the cave nearby the others. "So this is where Meg's being held?"

"That's what the compass says." said Painter, before turning to Iris, "But whoever did it can confuse Grandpa's magic, so I wanted Iris to send in her spy drones to make sure before we went into a trap for nothing. I think I see furniture in there, though, which is kinda making me go doubleyew-tee-eff, but I suppose I've seen weirder."

  Vic felt that funny 'itch in the back of her eyes', then a second later, Andy materialized from where he had been, wings folding neatly behind his back, the thumb-talons wrapping over his shoulders to meet across his throat like they were some exotic cloak clasp.

The temperature soon became a little bit colder, heralding the arrival of Icepick and Candy.

"Got your message, Painter. Hey Ex...Gargoyle...Mage Lady. What's the 411?"

"Currently, waiting on Iris' drones. Once she confirms that she's found Meg, we can go in. The compass says she's here, but I wanted to be double sure." said Painter.

As he spoke, a shield formed on his left arm as he prepared to actually enter the cave.

Victoria nodded at Icepick and Candy as they arrived, then continued to wait for Iris' drones to return.

"So do we have any idea of what we're dealing with? Or why Meg keeps getting kidnapped? If we find out she's a princess and he needs her to destroy the planet I quit."

"Heh. Or did anyone else see the whole Trigon arc on the Teen Titans cartoon? Yeah, if that's what this is, I'mma be pissed. Seriously, you gotta wonder if being a demigoddess is worth it. Phenomenal cosmic power, but every Lex Luthor wannabe is after you as a component for their insane plot to destroy/rule/hold for ransom the entire planet. Because, really, isn't it all the same goal in the end?" said Painter, chuckling.
