That, at least, seemed to satisfy her, and she visibly relaxed as she said, "All right, then. As long as you're being at least somewhat careful about it."

Michaela came back with a cup of iced tea for her mother, who took a drink before setting it aside and getting to work measuring Clarissa, while Michaela wrote the numbers down for her.

  She grinned, and occasionally would flick her tail to tickle Michaela's hand.  She told Gina "Ozzy picked out the colors for me to make his new clothes in.  Would earth tones and urban camouflage shock you?"  She told him {{Your Mom wanted to help measure you, but I think I dissuaded her.  I don't think you want to get sprung, to steal a line from Sir Mix-A-Lot, in front of her.}}

{{Oh, GODS, yes, love. Thank you. I would rather not 'pitch a tent' in front of my mother. Especially not when I'm not actually wearing any clothes. I dunno if the paint could take it!}}

Gina chuckled and said, "Have you met my son? I'm surprised he didn't get any BLACK. Or did he?"

  She shook her head, and said "No black.  Earth tones and urban camouflage.  I was shopping with him!  Now . . . the collar is black leather, with the matching leash, but he said I need to get a chain leash.  You'll have to read the tags, HE designed it."  She giggled, and her tail curled around, the silky soft fur stroking Gina's arm.  She grinned as she added "The scary part is, with this fur?  I could probably darn near run in a LOW cut bikini bottom, and if it has nice metal rings on the sides, go with a throat-collar and stretch the top between the throat collar and the hip rings, and be good."

Gina laughed, "That is a surprise! And I'm sure Ozzy would love to at least watch you try. Though, with your bust, dear, I'll be surprised if you don't 'break free', so to speak. I don't remember you being quite so well endowed."

Michaela giggled and said, "Yeah! She didn't have the kitty-ears, either."

  Clarissa grinned, and said "He was so distracted watching me walk, he walked right into a sign in the store earlier!  That was BEFORE Maggie hit me in the spine with the mutagen.  Which, by the way, is the pink stuff my claws have in them, so if you see it, don't touch it, Michaela, or you, Mom.  Ozzy's stinger has the same stuff.  Want to see how his eyes follow me?"  She grinned, having gotten all of her measurements down now, and she put the little paper in her purse.  She slid her skirt and panties back on, and said "My halter top this morning died an untimely death, so . . . yeah.  Ozzy's been providing me a temporary top while we were out running around."

Gina chuckled and said, "Oh, I saw as we were taking you in here to get you measured. He's hooked, I can tell you that much. Walking around topless will likely just embarass the poor boy. Or should I say, poor man?"

Michaela nodded and said, "No pink water, got it!"

  She giggled, and said "Well, he's got the magical paint to make me another top!"  She led the way back to Ozzy, still topless, and said "Okay, love, I'm ready for you to make me another shirt.  Although the fur darn near covers everything."

Ozzy blushed heavily and put another shirt on her with one hand, his wings just 'casually' draping themselves to where they covered up his bathing suit area.

"Got the measurements, love?" he asked as he hugged her again, cuddling her against his chest before quickly closing his wings again.

Gina just giggled, having an idea as to exactly why he was being so 'secretive'.

  She grinned, and kissed him, then said "I'm all measured.  Did you show your Mom your collar and tags?"  She grinned at him, knowing he might blush a little over that.

Ozzy grinned and blushed as he sat Clarissa down in his lap, before handing his collar to his mother.

She took a look at it and said, "That's... surprisingly sweet, actually. Just... you're not hurting him, are you?"

At that point, Ozzy couldn't resist and he snickered, "Not unless I ask real nice, Mom."

Gina looked a bit taken aback, and Ozzy backpedaled, "I kid, I kid! Joke!"

  Clarissa said "Absolutely not.  Unless it hurts to laugh a lot, and making his cheeks ache from smiling.  But I won't stop doing THAT."  She rubbed his chest gently, and said softly "I would never willingly HURT Ozzy.  Although I can't promise I won't accidentally stick him with pins if he moves while I'm getting his clothing put together."

Gina chuckled as she handed Ozzy his collar back, saying, "Good. Though, technically, I suppose it's none of my business."

Ozzy chuckled and said, "Long as I'm happy, right? And she DOES make me happy,Mom."

Gina chuckled and said, "Good. Are you two off to, ah... get his measurements, then?"

  Clarissa nodded, and said "Well, that, and find a justice of the peace."  She leaned against Ozzy's chest, smiling.

Gina asked, "Would you mind if I came along? To the justice of the peace, I mean. I would like to be present when my son gets married, after all."

Ozzy shrugged, "No problems here. What do you say, love? And do you think your mom might want to be there, too?"

Michaela bounced and asked, "Oooh! Oooh! Can I come, too? I wanna be the flower girl!"

  Clarissa nodded, and said "Okay.  Meet us at the hospital then, so my Mom can see too?  I . . . don't have a pretty gown to wear.  Michaela, thank you.  We'll have to pick up some flowers for you to carry then, okay?  Or, well, actually, would you be my little maid of honor instead?"

Michaela grinned and nodded, and Gina smiled. It was good of them to change their plans a bit at her request.

Ozzy just smiled and said, "So am I flying everyone? Or do we need to go someplace else, first, love? I know we need to get the judge, obviously... did you want to try to find a dress real quick? They do make backless wedding gowns."

  Clarissa considered, and said "Hmm.  I think we should find a dress, one for me, and one for Michaela.  I'll have to have white, it's the only thing to go with this fur.  Mom, can you handle getting Michaela a dress while Ozzy and I work on the judge and the dress?"  She considered, then added silently to Ozzy {{Can you call Grandpa?  I know he will want to be there.  He can bring Vic and Andy too.  And probably Meg and Lin.  Maybe Lin can take care of the dresses and all?}}

Ozzy nodded, and said, "Can do. Judge first, or dress?"

Michaela looked to be quite excited, and Gina smiled as she went and changed into something nicer while Michaela went and changed into her Sunday best. They WERE an upper class family, after all. They had fancy clothes on demand.

  She looked at him, and said "Judge.  I bet Lin can handle the dress.  If she comes.  I hope she does."  She couldn't call Oswald, but Ozzy could.  Or Gina could!!

Ozzy chuckled as his mother came back out, and said, "Hey, Mom? Call Grandpa for us, would you? I'mma put out the four one one via comm-links, okay?"

With that, he took off as he started to compose a mental message before sending it across the worm net.

  Clarissa kissed him, and whispered softly {{I love you.  I hope your extended family isn't mad for the short notice.  Mine will insist on a HUGE party for us, gods help us both.  But I want to be married to you.  Now, tonight, and be YOURS, legally too!!}}

Ozzy grinned and said, {{I love you too. And all of the ones I'm close to live in Weston, after all. There's Grandpa, and Uncle Dave, and my 'family' we've been living with for the past few nights. And Andy and Vic! Are Jack and Penny back yet, though?}}

  She nodded, and said {{Yeah, they been living with Don and Nora, because Penny's Diantha's Nanny.}}  She kissed his throat gently.

Ozzy said, {{Oh! I thought they'd left already. Well, awesome!}}

He then flew off towards the courthouse, humming happily to himself.
