Victoria nodded as she crossed her arms, looking out over the city.

"I really like that picnic idea. I hope we get to do that....someday.."

  Andy rumbled with pleasure, and kissed her temple.

Victoria sighed happily, then took another look around.

"They're attracted to this spot. Let's stay here, and see if anymore come up, as this was the strongest emanation of the Chaos magic."

  Andy half-smiled, and said "Picnic?"

"We'll have to make it quick, but...sure..."

  He chuckled, and said "I'm putting it together now, and I'll blink back and snag it as soon as I have it all assembled."

Victoria nodded and smiled at the handsome man.

"That sounds wonderful."

  Andy shot her a smile, and vanished just long enough to grab the picnic and come right back so he could set it up for the both.  They might as well enjoy the time spent waiting on the minions of chaos to appear!!

Victoria was still wary but she kept an eye out as Andy set up the picnic.

"Unexpected...but very nice.."

  Andy chuckled, and said "May as well enjoy the chance while we're going to be here anyway, right?"

"It's the height of efficiency....and a nice interlude into an otherwise grim duty," Victoria said, sitting down.

  Andy chuckled, and said "Yes it is, my love."

Victoria sighed, allowing herself to become a bit more relaxed than what she had been, taking in the view of the cliffs.

  Andy kept his senses wide, and he held Vic close as he enjoyed the opportunity to relax with her.

Amazingly, things remained quiet for a long time, as Vic relaxed in Andy's strong and sure arms.

  Andy held Vic close, savoring the simple, relaxing opportunity to be the same as everyone else, and enjoy a picnic with the woman he loved.

Victoria leaned her head into Andy's strong chest, clearly content in this moment. Inside, she secretly hoped that the forces of darkness would allow her at least this brief moment of respite.

The forces of darkness seemed to comply, at least for the moment.

  Andy's smile was clear as he cradled her, and he said softly "You know, Vic, it is moments like these that make me happy and content."

"These moments are few and far between, but I'm grateful for having them," Victoria said, her voice full of love, admiration, and contentment.

  He smiled, and said "It's rare that you and I get the same 'time off' when we're not working our mundane jobs, love.  I get to play in the grease and the dirt at the shop, fixing and customizing the motorcycles, and repairing things, then you get busy with the job you have so we can pay the bills for the apartment . . . although the thought has occasionally crossed my mind that we should see if Meg wants to let us live there.  It IS a good way to cure the bill-worries.  But the rare times like this are the best."

"A question we can pose to her at a later time. For now, I do enjoy this moment we're having," Victoria said gently.

Ozzy landed behind the happy couple, trying to land as softly as he could so he wouldn't disturb them. The moments like they were sharing were rare enough in their profession that Ozzy didn't want to end it if he didn't have to.

"Hello Ozzy.." Victoria said in an amused tone, still not moving from her comfortable position in Andy's arms.

  Andy tipped his head back, and grinned at him as he said "Heya Ozzy.  Have a seat?  They're attracted to this spot . . . "

Ozzy lumbered over, having a seat near the happy couple, his armored butt thudding against the ground as he did.

"I dunno why they would. I mean, it's pretty, but I dunno if it's something I'd dimension hop for. And if I was gonna pick a spot to pop out for the lulz, I'd probably do it near a bunch of people that I could mess with. This is a bit out of the way, don't you think? Then again, we're dealing with Chaos. Making sense isn't fun for them, and if it's not fun, they tend not to do it. At least as far as I know, anyway. So, are they being summoned, or is this just one of those times when the planets are aligned in the sixth house or whatever, and the barriers between the planes are stretched thinner than usual, like too little peanut butter over too much bread?"
