Renee picked up the phone, sounding like she had just awakened.

"H...hello? Got a text from you Leo and now a call? What's going on?"

"Renee.... he is back come to the lair this is real bad I dont wanna risk telling you anymore over the phone." he said in a hushed still worried voice

"*Sigh* all right, I'll be there in a few minutes....you contact Lennie?"

"I am going to do that right now Renee." as he said this he hung up the phone.
Leo than went about texting and calling Lennie

Lonnie seemed to be occupied when he picked up the phone.

"Yo L.....what it is, man?"

"sorry for bothering you but its real bad i need you here at the lair as soon as possible please come soon." he said this hastily and then hung up

Lonnie soon arrived at the Lair, looking for Leo.

"I'm here, bro...looks like we're just waitin' for Renee.."

Renee soon arrived after Lonnie did.

"Leo....you didn't sound like yourself. Now that we're all together here...what's going on?"

he felt at ease but was also not sure what to make of the email he was hoping they would put his fears to a rest and tell him blissful answers that he new they didnt have.
"the computer read the email and tell me i am goin crazy please tell me." he said this in a stressed out manner that didnt match he calm intellect manner

Renee looked at Lonnie for a moment, then read the email. It certainly had her attention as she took in every word.

"Um....who could this be Leo? Did you ever tell us anything about the person who had taught you?"

Lonnie narrowed his eyes as he read the email, then looked back at Leo.

"OK Leo....I know you've pissed of a lotta people in your time, but this doesn't sound good at all. What's up man?"

As they read the email he had paced back an forth and stopped when they both ask him questions he used his powers of the shadows to pull two chairs over for them to sit down as he sat down himself he ran one hand through his hair pushing it back slightly.

"Well its like this my powers are not born nor are they just learned from a book....when i was young very young...i dont remember it that well but .." he stopped and paused and closed his eyes to remember

"But what..?" Renee replied, not trying to press but anxious to find out what, if anything, Leo knew.

Leo took a deep breath and moved a table by them it had coffee and toast on it and he sipped his coffee and motioned for them to drink and eat.

"Before you two joined the team you new my team was larger correct." he asked in hopes they understood

Renee nodded, as did Lonnie, as they continued to listen to Leo.

He took a deep breath and began to continue his story.
"Well before you joined my team battled a great evil.... my Mentor who taught me how to control my powers and showed me where my power came from the .... the Land of the Eteranal Night... I am or should I say was human i was pulled into that place and i was changed hence my powers and i fear to use anymore of my powers i limit myself to the shadow bending. Well we fought my Master and i thought he was dead cause well we lost almost 90% of the team and then we had you two and we battled the builder...." he went silent at the end he new he had more to tell

Renee stepped closer to Leo, giving his arm a reassuring gentle squeeze.

"Please Leo...please continue...the more we know about this, the better we may be able to prepare for it."

"Yeah Leo...I can't recall seein' you this spooked.."

Leo took another deep breath and sipped his coffee some more and glanced up at his two friends.

"before you two joined me and my team we were 20 members strong we trailed my Master to his lair in the mountains of the north to an old castle that was built into the mountain. We fought our way through his minions and creatures we fought my master.....when you joined it was me and three others.....we destroyed that castle and lair and then you came and we faced the  builder." leo said this all not in a hushed voice by as if in a trance

Leo glanced around and took a big gulp of his coffee.

"This was the third time i have tried to kill my ex master and this time i was certain he had died i had seen it with my own eyes but as you recall my apprentice betrayed us at  a vital point in our mission to bring down builder but the point i am making if my Master has truly returned only one person in this city can make it possible for us to beat him the great arc mage the Mentor to Ozzy thats with this wizards help along with everyone else we can rally my Master can not ....CAN NOT achieve his plan the Land of Eteranal Night must not be linked to our world..." he said this almost panic and then faded to a hushed whisper "I shall not return to the land of night never again."

Leo got up and moved around he set his cup on the table and went about gathering his work clothes and briefcase.

"Don' worry none.." Lonnie said. "Sounds like we've got some people to set straight.."

Leo had his dress shirt tucked in and slipped his belt on and started working on his tie. He glanced at Punch-Out.

"If this email is a joke we have nothing to worry about but if its truly my Master  I want you and Renee to leave town get far away from here."

Lonnie shook his head. He had always been too bull-headed for his own good.

"Naw man...ya can't leave us just sittin' on the bench while this guy tries to play havoc with our world. Face 'im now..or face 'im later....we may not have much of a choice if you're right.."

he turned and stared at Lonnie and smirked.

"Your right but watch your back i'll see you in a few hours i am heading to the office if you need me see me at work." he said as he grabbed his briefcase and made his way to the door.

Renee waved as Leo departed. She sighed and then looked for a moment at Lonnie.

"I know Leo always held stuff back, but...but this is off the chart.."
