Leo returned to the Lair and glanced around the lair it was empty as he walked around the lair and reached the bathroom. He glanced at his reflection seeing himself as the shadow. He was not human he closed his eyes and concentrated on becoming human. Nothing happened he glanced at the amulet

The amulet began to shimmer and glow, and white energy seemed to flow from the amulet into Leo.

OOC: Leo now appears to be human. Go ahead and post next in the Lair of the Shadow :)

Leo appeared back in his tux but it was torn and dirty and covered in blood. He quickly went and got a change of clothes and took a shower to get clean. He wasnt sure how the amulet opened but it was his own human sides determination to keep them alive.

As Leo beheld his human form, he could soon see what appeared to be a shimmering woman, radiant wearing clothing as white as snow. Long flowing blond hair and slightly tan skin.

"You have been restored, Leo Black. Know that your struggle not only affects you, but those who depend upon you....and need you. You must learn to temper justice with compassion....you must find Balance. Like those two young children. Protect them...safeguard them...."

And as suddenly as she appeared, the woman was gone. But her words were profound.

Leo had seen some crazy stuff in his long life and this was probably in the top bracket of what the hell was that. He glanced around the lair went to his extra cell phone and texted punch-out and lightstrike to see if they were okay and for them to come back to the lair with darklight.

Punch-Out texted back to Leo "Wasn't sure where the hell you were at. Darklight had some business back in Derrton, but he left a way to contact him just in case. We're on our way."

now he played the waiting game as he stared into the mirror let his shadow form come out he saw it he had changed his appearance was more demon then man like he shifted back to his human form his skin had gotten paler and his eyes had a gray lining around the brown it was strange.

Contemplating his new look, Leo continued to look at himself in the mirror.

Punch-Out and LightStrike soon arrive at the lair, both shocked to see Leo breathing, much less alive.

Leo didnt smile he greeted them as best he could and motioned for them to make themselves at home and awaited the barrage of questions.

Lonnie sat down, looking at Leo closely, not sure what to think.

"All right Leo...we've trusted you this far. So...tell us man...what's goin' on with ya? We thought you was dead.."

Leo took a deep breath and stood up and paced a good bit. He finally stopped staring at the two people.

"....okay here goes after my battle with Blackhand i had drained my body to the breaking point my powers went into defense mode and pulled me into my home.....into the edge of shadows where i was born. I am not human well fully human i am part of the shadows and and blackhand is my mentor back from where ever. I am not human and my humanity .....i almost lost it and my powers have evolved i have changed greatly." he awaited questions.

"I'm not sure what to make of all this, Leo," LightStrike added. "Here, we thought this was just a simple job. But it's turned into....much more."

"So...is your mentor dead? What else happened to you in this Edge of Shadows place?'

Leo motioned for lightstrike to calm down.

"I am not sure if he is dead or not.....as for the edge of shadows i encountered a creature of great power he wanted me to join his group and still does not sure if i am going to or not but he had my humanity sealed in this here amulet." as he held up the amulet

"So...he had your humanity somehow sealed in the amulet? That's heavy.." LightStrike replied, still somewhat visibly shaken from what had happened at Versuezzi's, and then seeing Leo again.

Leo shrugged and glanced at the computer staring at the news on about five different channels. He took a heavy sigh and glanced back at his friends.

"I am tired i would like you both to take a couple days off at my penthouse I am gonna rest here i have some heavy thinking to do and many things to consider. How long have i been gone hours minutes or what?"

"A few hours, man....just a few hours..."

He then turned to LightStrike. "C'mon girl...let's go see what kinda trouble a coupl'a ex-mercs can get into. I'm sure this town has a few good bars, right?"

He chuckled slightly. "Yo Leo...you need anythin'...we're here...you know that.."

And he and LightStrike exited the Lair.

Leo watched them leave and glanced at his reflection it scared him he saw himself yes but it was him as the shadow it scared him he saw himself as a human but the shadow was lurking deep. He was in the edge of shadow for over a week he estimated. He was not happy he had some deep questions for himself.

As Leo looked at himself in the mirror as the Shadow, he saw another odd sight. As he looked closer, he could see that one side of the face was pure darkness. The other was pure white light.

He closed his eyes and got up and left he paced his layer not sure of this new revelation he had discovered not sure what he should do. He seemed to have balance but it did not make sense. He did not feel like he had balance he was confused frustrated. He needed answers as to what was happening before him but what should he do.

Soon Leo could hear a voice in his head. Soothing to the soul.

"You are Leo Black. You are The Shadow. You are Light. You are Darkness. So...what are you? Redeemer...or Destroyer? Are you a Pawn...or a Messiah? The decision is yours...and yours alone."

Leo closed his eyes... raised up his mental shields and opened his eyes they were red and the light and the darkness shimmered and wavered as if he was not of this plane as if he was a blurred image that didnt fit this reality. When the spoke the whole building seemed to shake.

"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!! BAH redeemer from and for what! destroyer i was a destroyer for justice I am no messiah I am only one man.....where did this light come from....though AND who are YOU i am tired of these telepaths show yourself before me !!!"

The same woman who had appeared in the Edge of Shadow soon appeared before Leo. She was ethereal, wearing what appeared to be the same clothing she had appeared in when Leo first saw her.

"I am....a watcher of sorts. I've spent centuries...even a millenia...watching. Watching things...people...events. Your destiny Leo Black....lies on the edge of a pin. Sway but a little and it could fall to darkness. Sway to another, and you will become the hero that you were born to be, darkness or not. You ARE a Redeemer...you have redeemed those whose lives you've defended in the courtrooms of your city. Contrary to how you may feel at this moment, you have made a difference. And you must continue to do so. The light you have seen is the light that has always been within you...the light that will illuminate your path in the coming days. And believe me when I say that you will need that light...and the light of your friends."

Leo stumbled back not believing his ears he never considered what he has done for the past several hundreds of years any mind he was doing something that was complex and took up time yet here was a watcher he had heard of them in stories and myths.

"What your saying..........is i have a destiny but my foe is by far to great of a force blackhand is to powerful i almost died and i know i feel it in the depth of my heart he is still alive."
