Re: Lair of The Shadow

The Lair a run down club bought and modified to perfection. The windows and doors appear to be boarded up and the outside looks like a piece of crap building that is still closed with the walls reinforced on the ceiling and floor with strong enough material to withstand the atomic bomb.  but in fact the inside is a high tech top of the line computers and equipment. Where the dance floor once was is now a huge computer line of of five computers making a U and above them are three 40 inch tvs for the security cameras to be viewed. the dinning booths had been revamped for clothes to a variety of weapons. The bar is still a bar but filled with the best wine and beer and other adult beverages to an extensive amount of soda and snacks. The kitchen behind the bar is still a kitchen and the head office is his office with a built in bed for over night projects. Its a lair that he could live in not very comfortably but the real secret is getting inside the secret lair.

Re: Lair of The Shadow

>>>>From The Streets>>>>>>>

It had been years since he had received a call from Shadow. But it appeared that there was a need for their services once again. And so the call was answered.

The tall African-American man known as Lonnie Robertson, dressed in a shirt, slacks and a long trenchcoat soon entered into the lair and chuckled to himself as he looked around. He then took a seat as he waited. He knew Shadow always loved to make a grand entrance.

"Damn Shadow...why you always hafta have a flare for the dramatic, bro?"

>>>>>>>From The Streets>>>>>>>>>

Soon after Lonnie entered the lair, a dark-haired woman also entered, wearing what appeared to be a primary black bodysuit with white trim. Her eyes seemed to glisten with a light all their own.

She then looked around for a moment, then noticed Lonnie sitting down.

"Hiya Lonnie...remember me? Renee? Oh yeah...I thought you'd remember. Looks like you got the call too."

Seeing that punch-out was always the shot first ask questions later type he was happy to hear his excitement.
"Yes i have some leads as to who has answers her name is Penny we must wait for her to leave the manor of a powerful spellcaster but the youthful heroes here are stronger then expected this city has fallen from grace since they let high schoolers to young college students save them. The men and women of this city dont deserve our help but i want the builder eliminated."

Renee then spoke. "All right then....but you know how kids are. If they believe they're doing the right thing, they will defend that belief as passionately as they can. Better still to utilize their talents if they're totally set on the path they're on."

Re: Lair of The Shadow

Shadow stared at Renee she was probably the most open minded member of his team well of the ones that survived. He sighed heavily and glanced up at the two team mates his soul surviving friends.
"Very well.... Punch-out go look up some intel on the typical members if your attacked...well we only need one person to give us information as for you Renee keep an eye on the young defenders I need seer and rebound they are key to this they possess information we need on Builder. I shall continue my plan it is delayed but we have time to plan and take out Builder. Those young defenders want him alive probably i see other wise we kill him end his evil he was a light weight in this city he miss took the strength of these kids. I shall not make the same mistake if they wanna be heroes let them die as fools." he said this his voice dark and almost hateful towards the fact kids would rather give up a life of happyness and live a life of death his years being alive he felt old and needed just a good nights sleep

Lonnie looked at his old friend. He knew that when he talked like that, he meant business. He arose from the chair, and began to make his way out of the lair.

"You all be safe now...we gonna nail that son of a bitch.." he said as he then exited the lair.

Renee slowly got up as well.

"Leo...I know how you get when you become obsessed like this. While he certainly does embody the principle of the evil that we fight against, I've always said...always continue to say....that we cannot become the same evil that we fight against. I hope you take what I say to heart..."

She then stepped to the door, and took one last look at Leo, then exited the lair.

Re: Lair of The Shadow

When his two friends left he new they meant well and he new Renee tended to think to close to the heart but her words struck home. He had spent several years hunting down the builder and when he heard the secret door close he closed his eyes and the shadows that engulfed him slowly seeped away back to his own shadow. He winced as the shadows left him. He hated his power but it was means to an end. His body was going to give out eventually the evil powers that engulfed his body were a curse and well he saw none of it as a blessing.

".... dont worry Renee once we defeat the builder once and for all I shall take a long deserved break...just hate seeing the youth defending us and dying for us... the older ones should never have to bury a young one and i will die before i see another youth die before me." he said this and turned back to the screens of his computers and went back to his research.

Re: Lair of The Shadow

Leo typed and scanned the web through out the net and reached and picked up his coffee mug and sipped the water that was in it. He never liked coffee nor soda or any other beverage he drank milk and water that was about it.
".... is it necessary for us to defeat the builder the heroes here are very assure of themselves...hell i wouldnt call them heroes fools luck they express their emotions so openly anyone would see it and use it...oh well wear your heart on the sleeve I shall laugh when defeat stares you in the faces." Leo said this a slight smirk on his face
He shook his head and mumbled to himself and rubbed his face he turned off his computers and lights and got up and went to his  bed and sprawled out on it.

"hell why did i come to a city full of fools i should let them die and let the slate be wiped clean....i will laugh when they need my help i'll sit it out let them die thats what a neutral person would do mind my business live a normal life ....i could always try that again a normal life...."

Re: Lair of The Shadow

Sleep came for Leo, but it wasn't an easy sleep. Seeing nightmares of the student who had turned his back on him, spitting in his face as he walked away. And another presence...something unknown...obscured by darkness...gave him a malevolent stare while he slept.

Re: Lair of The Shadow

Leo's dreams never came as happy ones his dreams were constant nightmares be it from his powers or the countless mistakes he made and the people he failed. He had equal amount of victory and success but one victory never balanced out a failed one. He stirred slightly as he jolted awake his gaze glanced around the room. His eyes adjusted to the darkness quickly. He got out of bed and called forth the shadows to his hands.

"Lights on!" he spoke as the lights turned on lighting up the lair. "come out who ever you are." Leo had been around for centuries he new when his sanctum was invaded be it parnoia or just that unstable he always did this when he had nightmares of recen events.

Re: Lair of The Shadow

Silence followed Leo's threat, but a cackling laughter could be heard. Heard but not seen. The laughter continued, until it diminished gradually and then stopped. There was a...small familiarity...but at the moment Leo couldn't place it.

Re: Lair of The Shadow

Sensing the danger was gone he let loose the shadows and collapsed on the bed. The hours of work and the late hour of the night made his head hurt. He didnt know who that voice was but the fact they broke into his lair undetected made him worry. but yet the voice was familiar he couldnt place who it belonged to. He finally collapsed backwards on the bed and closed his eyes.

"damn....maybe i am the one that needs to sit things out or maybe I just need a new line of work...one that doesnt involve supernatural powered people." he mumbled as he closed his eyes falling back into slumber.

He walked over and ran all his virus protection programs possible and set up all his computers defense systems. He then clicked open email as he read the address it was from trying to think if he new the person or party of unknown origins

Re: Lair of The Shadow

The address of the person who sent it read simply From: Undisclosed Address

The email read:

Despite being what you are, you seek justice. It is said that a house divided against itself cannot stand. You, Leo Black, are such a house. You wallow in darkness, yet do deeds that bring the light of hope to others. You were weak as my apprentice, and you are weak even now. I truly look forward to your end...
