Re: Crash site

Soon, a hulking and VERY tall humanoid emerged from the ship, his mane majestically swaying in the light breeze. He then began to sniff, and frowned slightly.

"Hrumph!" he muttered, and stepped back in the ship.

Re: Crash site

"Well, I think one of them would like to not bleed to death or get shot.  But I'm just making assumptions."  Then the increased lightshow started up.

Oh crap.  Ensuing initial powers manifestation.  Okay, think fast Matt.  "Quick, point your arms at the abandoned farm house or something.  Anywhere but towards Me or the Spaceship."  If watching certain events from the shadows (watching TV sets broadcast the news through windows also counted as from the shadows) had implied anything to him, it was that something had to be destroyed in a spectacular display in times like this.

So it may as well be someplace nobody would miss or be hurt by the loss of.  Well, except for maybe that Owl.  Whatever happened it would probably be more devastating than 'punt your own headstone into the groundskeeper tool shed'.  Not that he ever did anything like that, no, that would be crazy

Matt mutters to himself, "I can pick up Chinese on a lazy weekend morning but nooo, I have to deal with extraterrestrial speak now.  Great."

After Azrith came and went, he added "Or, maybe they're just assholes. I dunno."

Now that everyone was out, she stepped out, and toggled the clasps on the helmet, and popped it off.  She looked, well, very feline.  It made sense why she SOUNDED feline too.

She looked to Halkor, and nodded, then reached out, gently, seeking to learn the language without alarming or harming the local sophonts.  She delicately padded a little closer to Starshard and Matt, and held her hands out, hands open and spread, showing she was bearing no weapons right now.  Or not brandishing any, at any rate.

The blue skinned humanoid slowly moved down the ramp and out of the ship still holding his injured side. He spoke again this time in english. "Can you understand me? What system is this?"

Re: Crash site

"Yes, I can understand you now.  Unfortunately, Interstellar travel isn't really a strong point for us, that I know of.  We call our world and sun incredibly generic things like 'The Earth' and 'The Sun', and I don't know if The Milky Way means anything to you in referencing this particular galaxy.  Once night falls at least then you will have a view of the stars and hopefully someone more well learned in that area among you can pick out where you are compared to your home."

Matt turns his head back towards Starshard, leaning against his pipe. "I'd keep some distance from her until she gets a hold of herself.  Whatever is happening to her is nothing she has probably experienced, but I get the feeling it could be hazardous to be in the way." He felt a bit like a jerk basically calling someone a ticking timebomb, Matt doubted she wanted to be in this situation.

"Is there anyone worse off than you still on your ship that needs help?  I... Might, be able to heal someone, but I've never had the chance to find out if I can deal with serious existing injury."  So far, any "healing" Matt has provided had been a buffer against his inflicting fatal wounds in a fight.  Patching holes in someone's lungs was a whole lot different than putting a limit on how much he could hurt someone beating them over the skull with a blunt object.

"We got hit going through a warp tunnell it shorted out our nav system before it could plot a jump. We jumped blind which surprises me that we didn't end up inside a planet or star. DO either of you have shelter? WE are too exposed. Medical attention would be appreciated." He said glancing nervously around.

The feline said, in a sensual, smoky tone "Roughly, that means we are screwed without lube up the wrong orifice for easily getting home.  We will have to see what we can jury rig for the ship if we want to try and repair it."

Re: Crash site

Just like organ injury repair was probably way more complicated than organ injury prevention, fixing up a starship was probably a lot more complicated than fixing a broken bridge so a bus load of orphans doesn't fall into the river.

Not that Matt has actually saved a bus full of orphans yet, but he totally could.  Archeirae's colorful language would probably have caused cringing if he still actually had any orifices.  Gotta find some bright side to that particular situation.

"Well, I'm kind of homeless.  I've been using that abandoned farmhouse over there for shelter recently, but if you're hoping to avoid notice it's not much of an option anymore.  Even if somehow nobody noticed your crash, or ship in a large open field, her jet is Military and they are probably on their way now to make sure she is allright."

Matt sighs, more out of habit than anything.  "I'd love to be optimistic, but better to not give nervous people with guns anything to get excited about in the first place."

Speaking of Starshard,  Matt was debating whether or not to get closer to her and offering a hand so she doesn't float off or something.  On to more practical matters, Matt's influence crept along as he was distracted, if unable to heal Halkor then at the very least making the blue skinned swordmaster feel a little better.

For more impractical matters, Matt decided that yes, let's walk closer to the purple glowing lady.  Idiot.  "Everything is gonna be okay lady, probably.  I mean, you still have a face.  That's got to count for something right?"

Re: Crash site

Suddenly, Regina, surrounded by the purple energy residue, plummeted straight up and out of sight, quicker than the eye could see, generating a sonic boom as she broke the sound barrier. A minute later, she came back, looking to be a lot more in control, but her appearance had changed.

Instead of the flight suit she was wearing before, she now had a full body blue jumpsuit with what appeared to be a yellow sun in the middle and a yellow star on the right and the left. She was also wearing domino-style mask, but her long flowing blonde hair was unrestricted.

"Sorry about that. Not sure what collided with me but....it was like the shard of a star was flowing all over me. Star...shard.....Starshard..."

She said the name to herself a couple more times. It seemed to make sense.

The blue skinned alien then made mention of needing shelter. The duty of the US Air Force was to defend against threats both outside and domestic. But these....aliens...they were different. She could not...and more importantly, would not, turn them over to the Air Force.

She floated towards them, now seeming to be a bit more in control.

"Heh...sorry about that. Never thought I would get superpowers. You guys will have to explain what it was that was ejected from your ship and collided with my plane. But....there's an underground bunker not far from here. It's safe.."

Archeirae nodded, and said "Shelter would be good.  A place to bury our friend would also be good."  Her diction was pretty good, considering she had a rather feline build, and she asked Matt (she hadn't caught his name yet though) "Are you stranded here too?"

Halkor suddenly pulled his hand away from his side looking down as his wound began to piece itself together. "Thank you. Archeirae, did Balkree ever mention the funeral customs on her planet? And a bunker would be ideal we need to avoid detection at all costs. Who knows if we were followed through that wormtunnel."

Re: Crash site

"Well, glad to hear you're going to be okay then lady.  Nice of you to offer a place more sturdy than old wood and stone too." It was nice to see that gaining superpower could mellow someone out initially.

With Starshard's semi formal introduction, this reminded Matt he was still just some nameless so and so to the Aliens.  "My name is Matt, I have always lived here.  I'll... Leave it at that for now, I'd feel like I was just whining compared to your situation."   Oh, cool.  He could patch up people in an emergency.

Still... He'd keep his distance during Balkree's cremation.  Some research had turned up his Father paying out the nose to get his Son cremated as soon as possible.

  It hadn't stuck.

"I've got you covered," Starshard said. She then made a motion for the others to follow her.

"You must understand....I'll help you guys out but I do have a lot of questions, which I'll ask later."

She then flew not far from the ground, letting the others follow, keeping a wary eye around just in case if any friends from the Air Force fly around. She was hoping that they wouldn't send a search party out for her, since she dropped off the radar.

Considering Starshard wasn't exactly breaking the sound barrier again, Matt kept up well enough.  "Do I get a pass from the Q&A session because I'm local, it's not like I really know much about my current situation anyways."

Matt was also partaking of the popular pastime of trying to be as paranoidly aware of his surroundings as possible.

"Not exactly," Starshard replied to the question of getting a pass on the Q&A session. "But for now, I'm going to go out on a limb and say you're an ally."

She then found what appeared to be a hidden control console, and pressed several buttons on it. Soon, a door in the ground opened up.

"We'll be safe here for a while," she said, entering the bunker.
