I'm okay. I just checked to see this on my sticky. Is the the other game still active or no? I've been waiting for this one to start/restart for ages.

It's also good to see so many of you still around.  It's like a mini-reunion.

There's a reason everyone has kept these games on their sticky list over the years, yeah.

This is why people keep me around, to clean up when people just break causality willy nilly.

I've been furry, with various complications in my life ranging from diabetes (quite mild in my case and readily controlled with minimal medication) and being diagnosed as autistic (at age 48... I blame my parents for never allowing me to get a psych evaluation before), to having dealt with a period of homelessness and loss of the job I enjoyed for 15 years. Currently, I'm returning to school and finally (some 2 decades later) getting to put something from my major in botany to use now that we've forced Dad to allow me to have a vegetable garden.

So, I've noted the sudden uptick in posts - is the game actually going to lurch back to its feet or should I remove it from my stickies again?

I'm as mostly around as ever.  Though I do know Maverick and Mittens players are currently out of the country and not even watching their own boards for at least the rest of the month.

Present, have a computer and a doghouse along with a massive library of things to draw insane ideas from. Very much still interested.

Cons: My father, health, and the weather (California summers and being a furry critter do not mix well, especially with no air conditioning)

Re: OOC The Quarterly

I do work full time thee days, so I can be fairly assured that the posting rate won't go batshit insane often.  Doing what I do for work is exhausting, so I tend to hit the hay an hour or so after work unless I have bad insomnia that night.  Given that neither of my parentals is in great health (nearly lost my Dad to lung Cancer this past year), I try hard to spend time with them when I can.  Tomorrow (well, later today) we are doing a Father's Day cookout at my parents, all my Dad asked for this year was to get to see his daughters for Father's Day.  I am surprising him with a 1:25 scale model of a Olds 442 like he had before I was born.

Re: OOC The Quarterly

So here's what the other gms and I have come up with for restarting this game.

Five years have passed, Hunter has retired to join the senate and is now halfway through his third term. Thanks in no small parts to his efforts Paras have gained larger acceptance and there are now a number of anti-discrimination laws in place. As a result The NPA has moved it's efforts onto the international stage, focusing on other countries where Paras are still subject to discrimination as bad, or worse than America once had.

Excelsior has received sanction from the UN to form a team of paras recruited from around the world to deal with global threats. They operate from a space station orbiting the earth.

Technology has advanced at a rapid pace, there are many devices once considered sci-fi that are now commonplace items. (more details on this later)

For those that were in the other game and may be confused, Truth and I have had a lot going on lately (including but not limited to our first child being on the way) and I had taken a break from rpol in general. Now we're at a time (and I'm in the mindset) to try something again, and there seems to be definite interest in rebuilding this game and I'm willing to give it another start.

Five years having passed means that most of the New Age Defenders are now adults, and most of the Legacy has either retired or died. (Dragon Fist is the only one so far to express interest that hasn't already died, Hotwire has checked in, but he has yet to speak up) This will mean the younger heroes will have had to step into their shoes and perhaps some new heroes have emerged (if any of you wish to create a new character or we happen to pick up a couple new characters) I would like for everyone to get in touch with me via pm, let me know if you are interested in continuing, and what your characters been up to in the last five years and how they've changed/grown.

Re: OOC The Quarterly

You know you've made it when there is a space station for super heroes.  Though it's been so long I'll need to remind myself what little Matt has even done here, compared to the (still short) list in New beginnings.  This game did have Flash Gordon style aliens going for it though, on that front.

When they get back to the US, I'll be sure to mention to my pals that you are trying to pick things back up.
