Gonna give Antionette and Mittens a chance to post before I type out John's response.

Also, for reference the process that transformed John has left him....not exactly stable

Would pies in the face help John's mood any?
I'm not there to throw them, though. Hmm.

The members of The Family are fairly secretive but any heroes that want to have encounterd/have a relationship with them are free to do so.

Re: OOC The Quarterly
Couple things I've added to the Setting and Notable Names threads that may have been missed because they were edits.

The Camp: Though the offical name is the rather bland name of "The Camp" It has many unoficial names such as Para Camp and Hotwire's school of Superheroics. The Camp is run by former Legacy member Hotwire who offers training to Parahumans who wish to use their powers for good as well as genetic testing and ways to activate powers safely.

Freedom Fighter: Cpt. Daniel Thomspson was a soldier in Afghanistan who joined shortly after 9/11. In 2005 His squad was ambushed and killed, and then Lt. Thompson was left paralyzed. He was recovered by the early forms of Dapartment X, the parahuman based millitary branch that handles strike team alpha and othe para projects. Daniel was kept in suspended animation for 10 years while the government finished the L.I.B.E.R.T.Y. system. An advanced nanotech system that attaches to Daniels spine, allowing him to walk and increasing his physical capabilities. It also extends into a set of high tech armor that surrounds Daniel. Col Thompson is now the leader of Strike Team Alpha, the governments parahuman strike force.

Maverick, tear gas causes the eyes and lungs to burn, but does not cause unconsciousness. They're coughing and cannot see, but the gas will clear eventually and they will recover.

No problem!  Last few days of work have been rough and then watched Endgame on Friday.  Was not in any state to trust myself to write for fear of spilling spoilers.

MIttens did you put Reeve in the Honeycomb or a normal human prison?

Re: OOC The Quarterly
The idea was to put him into the cell of a para-resistant prison, if it can be done legally.  (Mits has been working hard toward getting permanent legal authority as an Interpol officer since she returned to Earth, but for now has probably gone through the process of getting temporarily deputized for the alien invasion crisis, with no small amount of sitting through "you are not to talk of what you saw aboard the alien ship" lectures from those that do such deputizing.  Which may or may not include authority to arrest suspects.)

A) Guy's probably a mad scientist and has super-tech gadgets for escaping normal prison in his pocket or implanted under his skin.

B) The guy that wants him dead is super-powered, so even if Reeve is somehow completely innocent, it would be in his own best interest to be in a place that could resist a radioactive man attack while he waits out the fallout.

But if it's illegal to save Reeve's life in such a manner, he'll be dropped off in the back alley of that same building.  Mits may be chaotic aligned, but she does not want to be the one the world blames for the Civil Wars style government crackdown on heroes simply because she wanted to rescue a mad scientist in an effective way.  (Nor does she want to have to waste time and money on defending her actions in court.)

The Honeycomb is the para-prison. The american one at least.

It's made of movable cells tailored to their occupants.

*disclaimer*

That's pretty much what I need to say before any post from Hotwire.

You've been warned.

**** EDIT ****

While marked as an NPC, Hotwire is being controlled by a player, not one of the GM's :)

Re: OOC The Quarterly
Thanks for the warnings, Hotwire. :)

Truth & Justice, I'm so excited about Ant getting the chance to meet the mysterious cloaked dude! :D

And the new power classes is something I've always been a fan of. You did mention someone can be more than one class at a time. For example, Ant would be Thinker Class, but is also Defender Class since that is what her inventions are built towards. When this happens, do they simply classify them as both, or do they say stuff like "She's a Thinker Defender" or something?

Oh! And while I'm on the topic, can we get a list of your NPCs categorized under the power classes? That would be helpful.

Re: OOC The Quarterly
The using objects for defense would be more a personal choice than a function of the powers, the type would be the specific abilities. So Antoinette would be a Thinker Class Inventor Type. Mittens would be Mobility Class Teleporter Type.

Rebound (one of the New Age Defenders) has a force field that absorbs and redirects kinetic energy, allowing him to bounce. So he'd be a Mobility/Defender class.
