Re: OOC The Quarterly

Nope.  You're not coming up behind Ozzy with intent to beat the snot out of him.  You're still classified under 'peripheral scenery' in my book.

Re: OOC The Quarterly

Hehe. I can't think of a lot of scenarios where a gigantic dragon (I think Fiona must be about 200 ft long) would be considered 'peripheral scenery'.

Also, had to look up who Judge Mills Lane was.  I guess it's a good thing that it's easy for me to stay in character for my many characters who don't watch much TV because I don't watch much myself?

I only remembered that particular judge's name for one special reason.

Re: OOC The Quarterly

I find it a little funny that during all these Mutagen scares, Matt's off doing his own thing unaware of it really.  Because he could deal with the problem simply by passing through.

Unless mutation was desired by the players, then he'd never think of it ;D

Very true.  Part of why I'm trying to play Matt in a way that he's not as quick on the uptake of 'what exactly could I do with my abilities via loose comic book logic?' as I am OOC.  His first (and only) fight was won by way of Football Tackle and headbutts. How fancy.

While normally it's a fight to get my abilities to even be acknowledged to function ever in games like this (count of games with mental insulation, many.  Count of games where I was allowed to ever have it work? slim), Weston City is classy enough that I'm going the other way around to make sure I don't throw my abilities weight around it it would bother someone.

Well, maybe unless they are trying to punch the head off my shoulders.

Omigosh.

You just referenced an obscure book I absolutely LOVE, Clarissa!!!! Well, maybe not just, it was probably a while ago, but I couldn't help but squee ever so slightly.

The Blue Sword is an awesome book. Read it like twenty times in High School.

I have copies of both it and Hero and the Crown.  I love them both to death.  I think I'm almost due to replace my copy of Hero and the Crown as it's wearing out.

Hey, Edge, did you just disappear from sight? Or are you invisible to all senses? Just curious. :D Ozzy's mutated form comes with enhanced senses, so he might smell or hear an invisible person in the room.

In reply to Ozzy Gysbourne (msg # 65):

Out of sight, for the most-part. You'd still be able to hear muffled footsteps and rustling of clothes, but the sound itself would be slightly dampened. If you could sense any type of Aura's, you could see her plain as day, but otherwise, just invisible to the naked eye.

Reminds me of the classic dialogue in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

"Hyperspace is unpleasantly like being drunk."
"What's so unpleasant about being drunk?"
"Ask a glass of water."

Re: OOC The Quarterly

I don't think Fiona is adventurous enough to try it, and nobody present would drink her anyway. (At least I assume so - maybe somebody turns out to be a real caffeine fiend.)

As a player (and a just as depraved one as you guys), I say it'd be interesting to find out.

Read again - Fiona asked what she looks like, not what Azrith looks like :) She can see him just fine, but she can't see herself.
