Lorelei stepped up behind Ethan, and sat her chin on his shoulder as her hands slid into his pants-pockets, and she said "We have to work harder for babies than normals, I guess it goes with the immortality trait."

Jared threw a sideways glance at Lorelei and Ethan and looked like he was about to say something about 'working harder for babies' but decided he was more interested in answers, and turned back to Araniel, and nodded.  "Without reservation, yes, I'd like the answers.  And anything else you'd like to share before we go off and fight the forces of Chaos."

  Araniel chuckled, and said "I've never read the books that detail the human side of it, and yes, Jesus is the son of the Christian GOD.  But there are many Gods.  A lot of what happens when you die, depends on who you are and what you believe and what you have done with your life."

In reply to Araniel (msg # 821):

Jared nodded, eyes gleaming with amusement.  "Thanks.  I'll reflect later on how important, exactly, what you've told me IS... but for now we have some Chaos to attend to... so, first question on that topic is, can anyone track 'em?  Is there any way to detect 'em?  Do they glow, smell, ooze, vibrate, or in any other way differentiate themselves so as to more easily identify them?  And then second, how to combat them?  What are their offensive and defensive capabilities?"

  Araniel said "They're not from around here, so they tend to be rather fluid in form, and their abilities will vary, as Chaos is terrible about reliability.  You can never count on it  for anything except trouble!"

  Meg nodded, and said "Mom can probably track them, I'm not as good at it yet, but I can sense the fluctuations in the EM fields when they open a portal.  I'd recommend you check around the cliffs  . . . or there's what looks like it might be a potential hotspot down by the docks, to me."

Jared nodded.  "Cliffs.  Docks.  Got it."

He paused, and then asked, "How are we getting there?"

  Araniel asked "Need a lift?"

  Clarissa scampered past the folks in the kitchen, offering a half-wave, her feline-like form and feathered wings making her a sight indeed before she slid out the door, calling "Off to Ozzy!"

Jared paused as Clarissa bustled past, and then nodded. "Definitely.  Thanks."

  Araniel gave May a kiss on the temple, and said "Well, my dear, I will be around a lot more now, but we both know that I a not going to sit by while there are serious threats to mankind, so I shall catch you later.". That said, he offered Jared a bow, his wings slightly spreading, and indicated the door as he moved that way.

Jared followed, out the door and a safe distance away.  He shifted left, and then right, and then said, "OK, let's do this."

He seemed oddly relaxed, perhaps a little excited?  After all, it was not every day one got transported by a real, bonafide Angel.  And not a scary Angel, either.  Seemed to be relaxed?  Happy?

He chuckled, and said to Araniel, "I was always a big fan of the Prophecy series.  Christopher Walken as the ArchAngel Gabriel, GONE HORRIBLY, HORRIBLY BAD.  He has this line in the second film where he says to the human he pulled back from the brink of death to serve him and who is starting to disobey him: 'Let's understand each other. I sang the first hymn when the stars were born. Not that long ago, I announced to a young woman, Mary, who it was she was expecting. On the other hand, I've turned rivers into blood. Kings into cripples. Cities to salt. So, I don't think that I have to explain myself to you.'  It was an awesome scene.  Kept me awake for a while, you know, back when I slept."

  Araniel nodded, and said "yeah, that rather does sound a lot like Gabriel, last I saw him.  Take my hand, and do. Out be afraid."

Jared shook his head.  "I'm not.  For some reason I developed the ability to sense evil, and you don't make me nervous at all."

He took Araniel's hand.  "Ready."

  Araniel smiled, and took a firm grip on Jared's hand, then his wings fanned, lifting them both effortlessly into the air.  Headed for the docks.

When her father left with Jared May turned back to TIm. "So, you wanna go tell your friends Jack and PEnny now? Or stay here a while?"

  Tim smiled, and said "I think they need to know soon.  I want Jack to be best man, if you don't mind?"

"Well everyone's left to go fight monsters, so we might as well head there now." She smiled one wing wrapping around him. "I love you."

  Tim chuckled, and said lightly "Nowhere close to EVERYONE, but the heavy hitters, yes."

In reply to Tim Wright (msg # 837):

"Well, everyone we were talking to, so lets go see your friend Jack." She smiled as she took him by the hand and started heading back towards her car.

  He nodded, holding her hand as he followed, and said softly "I love you, May.  I'm glad you don't mind me making certain you don't have to be a single Mom.  I want every joy I can share with you, including parenting."

She smiled as they reached the car unwrapping him from her wings so she could get in the car. "Tim I love you, I WANT you here, with me, I WANT you to know our children, I want them to have a father. I don't mind at ALL."

  He smiled, hugging her before he handed her in, and said "Good.  Because I want to be with you.  Spending the rest of my life with you, and sharing it all with you."

She smiled as she got behind the wheel. "Me too love, more than anything." She started the vehicle and pulled out of the driveway  and heading where Tim directed her.

  Megs headed up, floating into the hatch of the craft floating ten feet off the ground in her back yard, Bella in her arms and a small pile of things already aboard.  She closed the hatch, and then the ship rose, silently turning and then zipping skyward, it's streamlined matte black shape undetected on radar (although the Mark 1 Eyeball Sensors worked fine) but a ton of people called in to the local police reporting a UFO taking off from the area.
