Re: The Dark Cadre's Lair.

Dragon Fist looked at his fallen opponent, kicking off the zombie in the face, then heading over to his one-time student and his lady love.

"You guys all right?"

Seeing one opponent (Bokor) still up, he went after him with a spinning cartwheel kick

Re: The Dark Cadre's Lair.

She still had her legs wound around that pole.  Stretching, she retracted her claws and brushed her fingers along his unwounded cheek, and said "Don't forget those healing runes Odin gave you, love.  And you're welcome.  You heal faster in this form.  And they DID say collateral damage to objects could be dealt with!"  She lightly laid her hands on his shoulder, and let go of the pole to flip down and stand beside him, trying to check his face over as she said "That bitch had better stay dead, or I'll make her sorrier than she is now!!"

"Gon' make you sorry you crossed us, Dragon Freak!" the necromancer uttered, sending what appeared to be a flaming skull at the armored hero.

Dragon Fist countered with his chi sword, deflecting the blow, then slashing at the necromancer.

Bokor fell to the ground, spitting up blood.

"Another time then...you not gon' be so lucky.." he told them now starting an incantation which made both him, Death Cleave, and the dead Scarlet Gold disappear in a flash of black energy.

When Scarlet disappeared, Ozzy sighed and said, "Ya know, something tells me she's not staying dead now. Damn necromancers..."

Re: The Dark Cadre's Lair.

Clarissa's ears flattened, but she was busy trying to make sure his wounds were clean.  She had ripped a chunk off of her skirt, and was wiping the blood away as she said "If she comes back, I'll rip her face off.  She REALLY was trying to do a number on you."  She shifted to meet his gaze, and he could feel her fishing in his head for a moment, finding those runes Odin had given him in Asgard.  She very carefully dipped one clawtip in his blood, and sketched one of them on his forehead as she said "You're going to have to show me how to conjure paint like you do, I really DON'T like painting runes with your own blood on you, love."  But the rune DID make the pain into a dull throb, instead of a screaming howl.

Re: The Dark Cadre's Lair.

"The Order asked us to help them deal with some necromancers that were killing people in the area. Thanks for the assist, by the by." said Ozzy with a grin. He shifted back to human, though his face was still kind of messed up, but he'd need to be smaller if he wanted to get out.

He turned to Clarissa and said, "Hun, I dunno if you want to do that. You can ask me to summon some paint any time you want to... but these runes can't be tattooed. I'd have to carve them INTO you, like I did mine. And trust me, it's not a pleasant process."

"There was a bit of a perimeter around this place," Dragon Fist replied. "Made of lots and lots of skeletons...I can help you guys out with that, or if you guys want to fly with the others out of here, that's a viable plan too."

Re: The Dark Cadre's Lair.

Ozzy looked at her wearily with his one eye and said, "Later, love. Right now, we have to deal with these skeletons. If we're lucky, they were the quick-and-dirty kind, and they'll fall apart with the casters gone. If we're not, then we need to take them out, as without the necromancers here to control them, they'll revert to normal undead protocols... namely, seek out and devour the flesh of the living. Bad news, yeah? Thankfully, they're necromantic skeletons and not virus zombies, so at least it wouldn't spread... I think. Violent deaths do sometimes automatically raise as malevolent spirits..."

Sister Janice said "Brother Joshua and I can handle them, we can dispell them, but you need your wounds tended, Mage Gysbourne.  I am sorry for the loss of your eye, but stopping this vile necromancy is worth an eye.  Or even my own life."

Ozzy looked over at Sister Janice and said, "Meh, it'll grow back. If you didn't notice, big green me mode kinda has a healing factor. Plus, one of our friends is a demigoddess, and has mega healing powers. She can bring you back from anything short of dead. I just kinda don't want to wreck EVERYTHING on my way out, you know?"

Clarissa snagged his hand, parking herself on his blind side so she could cushion him from doorways (having only one eye REALLY screwed up depth perception) and she said "Still hurts like hells, love."

Re: The Dark Cadre's Lair.

Ozzy apologized, "Sorry! Lemme fix that..."

Suddenly, almost like a vault door shutting, Ozzy blocked the pain from the link. Just as Clarissa was used to being high, Ozzy was used to pain, and knew just how to keep it from bothering him... or her, in this case.

He then smiled and said, "Better? Once we get home, I'll get to work. I'd rather not be carving into the insides of your forearms without a stable work surface. I dunno if you regen fast enough to heal up a nicked carotid artery."

She shifted her grip, so she had one arm around his waist, and said softly "I can deal with pain, that's one of those things that women handle well.  Although yes, you blocking it does feel a bit better, but I can still see the mess, love.  We're headed to Meg's next.  No arguing.  Then you can carve my arms too.  Because the other options that I have currently suck if you're out or out of reach or something.  I'm learning your runes too.  They're not my specialty, but I CAN borrow them enough to get us by.  My poor Ozzy.  She's lucky she's dead."    She stole a moment to kiss his shoulder, still fussing over him affectionately, and clearly glad she COULD cheat, and sort of PUSH at his healing with her mana-feed through their link.

Re: The Dark Cadre's Lair.

Villain Exit Clause, Matt's greatest weakness.  Or would his greatest weakness be courtesy?  Tough call.

"Insert necromancer death inconvenience comment here.  Thanks for the help Dragon guy."  He turns back towards Ozzy and Clarissa "As touching as the concern and planning for self sufficient healing between you two is, I'm right here you know.  Enjoy stereoscopic vision."  Sure, Ozzy would heal up fine without him too.  But the guy was leaking all over the place now and that was just unpleasant for all involved.

"Looks like you guys have things under control. Get well soon, Ozzy, though I suspect it will be just a short time before you're like new again," Dragon Fist said. Nodding at Matt, he then went with them up the stairs, and then made ready to leave once Clarissa and Ozzy would start off to Meg's.

Matt waved goodbye to Dragon Fist, he seemed like a nice face puncher.

"It's no problem, just sorry I wasn't enough help to keep it from happening in the first place."  He starts on up the stairs, commenting to Janice  "I'm a bit hazy on the Templar crime scene method.  I can fix the building fine from Ozzy's hulk impressions, but would it be preferred the more restrained signs of carnage remain so you can get religion clues, or something?"

She's a devout servant of God.  He's... We'll get back to you on that.  They fight crime.

Ozzy's face congealed back into its usual configuration, and he definitely LOOKED like he felt better. He breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Thanks, man. That does feel better. I'm just glad the gorram necromancers are gone. Hopefully it'll at least take them awhile before they can start terrorizing folks again."
