2kReturner stood there near Mr. Witness and Meg's position. He shook his head as she used the EMP. He anticipated on the EMP alerting the guards before hand. The EMP didn't affect him. His powers were internal. He reminisced briefly on the day he switched from a TTA power bracelet to a nanite injection... PURE EPIC WIN!

"And that is why I RARELY use EMPs in covert ops." he thought as the soldiers came running towards the group.

That's when some guards came his way. He was around the corner, cloaked and phased. 2k kept his eyes between the guards and 2 security cams. One above the entrance way in the corner and another on the floor but on the opposite side of the entrance. Both cams were nanosized. Only he or someone with super sight could see them.

"Just a little further..." 2k grinned widely.

Megaira didn't seem at all fazed, and NOTHING registered on the EMP outside the area she'd delineated.  Which was different, as a normal EMP would go as far as it could radiate, and this one acted highly localized and controlled.

The two goons walked right into the trap and as the beams pierced their bodies they both collapsed to the ground.

Mr Witness takes out the two by the door who slump to the ground with Darts in their necks.

Icepick catches his by surprise encasing one in ice but his body turns and opens fire.

Three guards remain, two at the building and the one shoiting Icepick.

One guard turned to watch behind them while the other went to inspect the crate. As he got close the crate suddenly shifted into some kind of tentacle monster grabbing the guard and tossing him against a wall. The other spun at the cries of his partner and got hit with a lazer from the creatures mouth before he could fire. The man fell to the ground leaving the heroes to enter the warehouse.

Re: Tzarina's compound

"All according to plan..." 2k thought to himself with a grin.

After the two guards were KO'd, the mimic turns into a giant ball of energy and dissipates.

2k then moves towards the warehouse but he waits for the others to arrive. After all, the Special Crimes Unit didn't fill him in who would be helping him. They just said, "Others will arrive but when we do not know." 2k had enough trust in the SCU to know that when they said he was getting help, he was getting help. In contrast with TTA who wasn't upfront. Then again, TTA agents were like bounty hunters... They worked alone and if they did have a partner, they had their OWN agenda within the mission. Sometimes it wasn't on the same page with the other.

"Maybe I SHOULD let myself be known to my allies. Hmm... I wonder if Dragon Fist is on this mission." 2k thought as an energy visor appeared over his eyes.

The visor made all the buildings look like outlines but showed all bio signs as they would to the human eye. 2k saw Dragon Fist near another guy who had the power of ice. He looked above and scanned the rooftops and found Meg, Mr. Witness, and Knight.

2k made his way to Dragon Fist and Icepick. When he got near them around the corner, the energy visor faded out to where his eyes were visible again.

2k then placed the camera on the ground before him and stepped away.

"This camera will show us how far back they were here. It can only go as far back as an hour. Us TTA agents call it Temporal Imaging."

After explaining, 2k started emitting a light blue aura. the 5 cameras started glowing with him. An energy whirling sound started creeping. Faint outlines of the badguys started appearing. No sound just yet.

2k got this strange feeling that perhaps the person he and Dragon Fist were after was near seeing the imaging is taking longer than usual to work.

The static went on for a while. The energy whirling suddenly sounded choppy until...

BOOOOOMMMM!! Each camera exploded like a lightbulb blowing up in its socket. Othniel leaped backward, then shielded himself from the explosion and debris flying from the camera in front of him. However, only the camera in front of Othniel shot out shrapnel. The others just burned out but sounded like they would've shot out fragments.

"Dragonfist... The one to whom we've been looking for all this time is with them." Othniel announced after letting down his forcefield once everything was in the clear. Then he grumbled, "Dang monster booby trapped my imaging equipment with his jammer!"

"Too many minions they say he has. It complicates matters when 1) The guy your searching for has ties in multiple universes and 2) Your boss leaves you out in the cold on the issue. I began to think that TTA had given up the search since after they first found out about who he was. Normally by the standards of where I'm from, they do if it comes down to only one person being able to do the job. If they catch the crook that way, fine, if they don't and loose one of their own in the process, meh... Expendable. That's the problem I find. We aren't. Sadly, only a few TTA board members believe that."

Re: Tzarina's compound

2k listened to the two converse, lost in his own thoughts, he remembered the "family" that he had. In one, he was an uncle. But in his current time line, he had a wife and child. Remembering her in past tense, made him cover his mouth in grief. All he had was his daughter... Where ever in the Space-time continuum she was. Ironically, in the dimension that he was an uncle, his niece and daughter had the same name as his first cousin and sister in another.

"Nina..." 2k thought to himself. He brought himself to, enraged by Lunningham's words on the day he couldn't save his wife:

"You think your a god with that temporal tech of yours but your not. Just like I stopped you from sniffing out Ivon back at the TTA HQ years ago, I will prevent YOU from saving your beloved Zahra. * Maniacal laughter* Sucks to be you!"

That day brought both joy and pain to Othniel. The joy of seeing both brain children of Lunningham, the Space Juggernaut known as Lainhardt Omega and Katie Evanston meet their end. Though Katie was dealt with by humanoid means, L.O could not. The ship was made solely out of the impenetrable Urelite mineral... No way in but many ways out. Furthermore, L.O. was time-jump proof. What was more, Lunningham had kidnapped his wife and child but in the end, Othniel's wife, Zahra was able to disconnect the jammer and allowed him and his friends to get on board and send L.O. to its death inside a singularity. In the escape, Nina was sucked into a transdimensional vortex created by L.O trying to time jump out of the black hole.

"She's the reason I keep on traveling. I will find her." Othniel thought, recalling of his journey.

Zahra's death wasn't in vain. It was most definitely a sacrifice. A rather UNEXPECTED maneuver. Yet the stalemate meant the end of Lunningham and Ivon... In the current timeline. Unlike the numerous of times Lunningham and Ivon had robotic clones of themselves, this time, they were the real deal.

The last time Othniel saw Nina he couldn't recognize her. Mainly because the STC had put age on her. The moment Bella appeared, he saw a translucent figure of his daughter next to her. Othniel closed his eyes and shook his head at the "hallucination". When he opened his eyes, the image was gone.

That's when Dragon Fist mentioned 2k. The detective snapped out of it but didn't address him. His eyes were on Bella.

"Y-You're back? *ahem* I mean... Sorry, you remind me much of my daughter. You and her about the same height and age. She's a time traveler too. The problem is, she's lost somewhere in the STC. *ahem* Anyway, if we jump back far enough, we will be able to get into this area before they arrive. I couldn't use my temporal imaging to track them because they have a jammer that prevents me from doing so. Yet I DID sense the operator's NOOBISH skills. If it was GOOD jammer, it would of made my equipment not even show static. Which means that this jammer is the BEST they've got. Normally, the time criminals I've dealth with would have a jammer that extends into the STC. This type of jammer would make ANY time-jump into the area impossible and would extend its "blocking" capabilities to covering a period of time. Say several months to say the least."

Re: Tzarina's compound

Bella arched one eyebrow, and said "So to speak.  I'm technically here before I exist.  Now, how much of a timejump are you looking to perform?  I don't USE any sort of machinery.  My timejumps are innate, and I, personally, am totally immune to temporal paradox."  At six foot four, she was an impressively tall woman, and he could tell she was still young.

Re: Tzarina's compound

"Ah, innate temporal powers... My daughter has the same! Yet my wife and I had gadgets to do so until the nanite injects were invented. The time jump will be several hours before now. That's how long ago it was before the "bulk" of the army arrived."

Bella nodded, and said "Well, you may want to make sure you're well hidden before you jump backwards, in case you miscalculate."

Re: Tzarina's compound

"Makes since. Where I first came in was by Mr. Witness and Meg. There wasn't any troops in that area when I arrived. And when time jumping in this timeline, I noticed that I DON'T see myself after doing so. Which means that everyone with us won't see their past selves either. That's how TTA designed their temporal technology. Less Paradoxal. Yet the gadgets ALWAYS had a bug in it. The more that time jumped together, the more "anomalies" there would be. When the the nanite injections came, the anomalies were non-existent."

Bella shook her head, and said "I'll jump myself.  I can hide and make certain it's clear.  Do you have a temporal transmitter to let me notify you in this when that it's clear to jump backwards?"

Re: Tzarina's compound

2k nodded. He held out his hand and a small ball of energy formed. A few seconds later, it turned into a bluetooth ear piece. He handed it to her. "Here ya go."

Bella smiled, and said "Thanks.  I'm good at this.  This is a short jump."  She took the earpiece, adding "And don't worry, they can't HURT me, and they won't find me."  She floated into the air, rising up to the ceiling and disappearing behind a hologram (he couldn't tell precisely how she generated that either).

2k watched as Bella disappeared. He then looked around, anticipating for Meg, Witness, and the others to show up.

Re: Tzarina's compound

Bella timejumped with the perfect accuracy she'd developed through years of practice, and appeared when she'd jumped to, a full hours previous.  She waited, perfectly still, hidden behind the hologram that she had made for camouflage.  Not breathing or making a sound.

Re: Tzarina's compound

At the corner of her eye, Bella saw a guard get thrown into the wall. If she looked closer, she saw a lady made of pure energy knocking out several guards. When Bella arrived, the lady was strangle holding the last one by the neck from a far with telekinesis. Right before he would've taken his last breath, she threw him backward into the wall, knocking him out.
