Friday smirked.

I'm almost scared to find out, Lucas.   It's not like Don would ever call us to show off his collection of commemorative Elvis plates or something.

Re: The Legacy's Headquarters

she spoke in to the phone again.

Yes, I believe so.  I'll keep an eye on her, though.  She's been pretty good about "boundaries" lately.

Friday chuckled.

I'll see you there.

She seemed about to say more, but stopped.

Lucas laughed.

"I never figured him to be an Elvis fan. Maybe he's softening up....yeah right..."

As they neared their HQ, he then said, "I guess we're gonna find out...one way or the other, huh?"

Friday hung up the phone.
Yeah.  Whether we want to know or not.   She chuckles.

She parks her new car nearby and gets out to walk over with Lucas.

Re: The Legacy's Headquarters

Lucas made sure that no one else was looking, then went to the "secret passage" and pulled the lever.

"All right...let's see what's in store."

Lucas had no reason not to trust Don, Zeke....or even Lady Psyche or Helena.  They had been forged through fire in their first ordeal...even though that trust was strained at times.

Re: The Legacy's Headquarters

It was funny.  Friday looked like the youngest person in the group, but still considered herself "the old guard", having been one of the original members of the group.
She occaisionally butted heads with Lady Psyche, but not too badly.   She was working out pretty well, so far.

Re: The Legacy's Headquarters

Lucas descended with Friday into what was now their HQ. He wasn't sure if anyone was here already or if they were already on their way. He was sure that if someone was here they would make themselves known. All the same, he kept a slight defensive stance, just in case...

He thought about the new member that they had inducted recently....Lady Psyche. About at mysterious as Mirage, but she was a contact in the Weston PD so that had some good bearing in her favor of being a member of the Legacy. She also had proven to be pretty beneficial in helping put out fires that would have been otherwise very hard to find had it not been for her assistance. All the same, when she looked at you..it seemed like it was into your very soul. And Lucas' soul had been through A LOT...

>>FROM CHURCH>>

Hunter left his bike back at his garage and took to the rooftops to make his way to the headquarterws. Once Friday and LUcas made there way inside they'd find several large crates inside the headquarters filled with high tech looking weaponry. HUnter would arrive shortly after they did heading down in full costume.

Re: The Legacy's Headquarters

That's why, whether it was working or not, Zeke had taken to wearing new head gear.  A stop is made, quick and simple, to drop off the gems he recovered from the heist.  Some were missing, thankfully more than just the one he had chosen for himself.  All that cash came from somewhere after all.  Darn, police will just have to do some footwork now to account for the missing gems.  Surely one of the Legacy wouldn't stoop so low as to take one for their own slightly off kilter scientist needs.  Surely.

Arriving in typical Zeke fashion the abandoned train tracks outside their little lair spark a few times as he rises from them slowly.  Tinfoil hat sculpted to look like some mideival warhelm first, and then the rest of his body comes into sight.  Adjusting and grinning, with a few crinkles and a little extra aluminum foil, it becomes some fifth grader's rendition of Magneto's helmet.  He then strolls easily into the base.  Pulling his goggles and mask aside while doing his best to keep the work of tinfoil art intact.

"So.  What's so important that we're putting the band back together.  Hmmm?"

Looking around at the Cold War Era inventions and boxes he begins rummaging around, looking for something though not entirely sure if he'll either find it or if it's what he's really looking for.  That expression on his face had come to mean both as he was rummaging through the equipment like some Salvation Army for tinkerers.

Lucas saw the boxes full of the hi-tech weaponry, and then noticed Hunter coming down.

"Good to see you Don. Looks like some new stuff. I take it this is what you wanted to look at?"

Don nods. "Caught some toughs and two paras transporting these for the Bertellis  unsure where it came from but this kind of firepowere would make it a lot harder for us if not impossible to keep them from making this city into a war zone, and its possible we're looking at a situation like the Crew pulled with the gangs a few months ago before they all got slaughtered."

Re: The Legacy's Headquarters

His attention perks up from some tangle of wires and what looks like a glorified quisinart to the guns.  Setting the quisinart aside carefully he heads over to the crates, the green veins in his eyes shifting ever so slightly as he looks over the weapons.

"Great, just what we need.  Party favors.  Heavy duty ones, too from the looks of it."

Taking a breath most if not all of his usual asshole banter is set aside as he carefully picks one up and holds the barrel away from the door and anyone else for that matter.  Checking the weight and balance as he closes his eyes.  The green veins shining through his eyelids as he sees what he can 'divine' from this weapon.

Lucas frowned.

"So the Bertellis are trying to obtain heavy firepower. And we sure don't need another incident like what The Crew pulled. We need to find out the supplier...where these weapons are coming from...and hit them hard..."

-> From the Docks

Mirage appeared in the Legacy HQ and slowly released Lady Psyche.  She really didn't need to have such intimate contact in order for her to teleport individuals, but she liked to keep Lady Psyche guessing.

She walked over to where she had teleported the crates of weapons and ran a gloved finger along the edge.  "I trust that you all are finding my party favours to your liking?" she said in her soft voice.  "I'd offer something to drink but I can never tell if it's the red or white wine that goes with high yield energy weapons."

Lucas saw Mirage and Psyche enter into the HQ.

"Mirage...Psyche...good to see you....."

He still wasn't quite sure what to make of Psyche, but he would give her the benefit of the doubt.

Re: The Legacy's Headquarters

Psyche arrived in the headquarters positively pouting. The Psychic shook her head and let out a wry chuckle, before taking just a fraction of a step away from Mirage. It was a bit obvious that Lady Psyche had been itching to try that trick.

She turned her gaze on several of the Legacy members, nodding to them and letting a smirk play its way across her lips at the sight of Friday, before turning her rather intense gaze on Lucas.

"Hello...Lucas," she said, slyly winking and letting her gaze linger just a fraction longer than the others, before turning her gaze to the crates of weaponry and striding over. Carefully she took off one glove and ran her middle and index finger along the side of the box, closing her eyes and letting the Psychometry portion of her abilities take effect. She hoped to glean at least some form of information from the crates.

Re: The Legacy's Headquarters

Lucas saw the sly wink from Psyche. He played it off though.

In a friendly, but very formal way, he replied, "Hello again Psyche. How is the Weston PD treating you? Fairly well, I hope."

He then turned to Friday. "Looks like we might be getting into another safari, Friday..."

Re: The Legacy's Headquarters

Lady Psyche gets a similar vision to the one she got at at the docks. Hotwire DIvines that this is obviously custom technology very beyond current technologies, who0mever made this is obviously superhumanly intelligent. They ared designed to fire high yield energy blasts, theres also a large hover tank in a seperate container.

Re: The Legacy's Headquarters

Psyche grimaces slightly, seeing just the same vision. She pushes her token-object reading ability a little farther, trying to squeeze every bit of it she can...but comes up short. All she can glean is that same person.

She opens her eyes, shaking her head. "All I get is that same guy. Grey hair, glasses with blue eyes, crooked nose, kinda slight in stature," she said, closing her eyes and picturing it over again. She quickly opened her eyes, however.

"Weston PDs fine," Psyche said, as if suddenly remembering Lucas had spoke to her, "Slow as hell, but...fine."

With that, she strode to another crate. "Hey Friday, whatcha been doin' all this time? With the PD so slow, I might have to get out. Mind catchin' a few bars with me? Maybe hit the dance floor?" she asked, before touching the next crate with her middle and index finger.

And maybe take Lucas, as well? She broadcasted voicelessly to Friday, though she wasn't sure her fellow Legacy member had recieved it.

Re: The Legacy's Headquarters

"Geez, Friday these could probably even hurt you.  High yield energy blast.  You'd probably want to be really careful you didn't cross the streams with these.  Who ever made these is definetly a para himself.  The mathmatics and geometry involved...  we're probably dealing with a Forge type.  Otherwise..."

He shakes his head slowly, setting down the weapon carefully after being sure it wasn't going to accidently discharge or have a remote detonator, and moving over to the largest crate like a moth to the flame.

"The lab this guy would have to build just to make this gear is.  Oh I can't wait to meet this guy."

Brushing a gloved hand slowly along the side of the crate his eyes go nearly anime style huge for a split second.

"Oh fuck me."

Before vanishing.  Unabsorbing back outside the crate a shudder flows over his body and the smile never leaves his face.

"This.  This.  Oh wow.  Um...  I'm going to need to research this one a bit more.  Um...  Mirage.  Gonna need you to teleport this one out for me.  That warehouse I've been using as a makeshift garage.  Yeah that really needs to go there.  Please."

With how he's acting, it'd probably be in everyone's best interest if she just teleported the crate into the abandoned train station.

Mirage flipped herself up and sat on one of the crates and sat down.  She crossed her legs demurely, the long slit up the side of her skirt revealing a generous portion of shapely leg.  "Maybe before you go and do your clubbing, you could use your Weston PD contacts to find out where the Bertelli's hang out.  I'm more in the mood to go and have a little chat with them myself."

Lucas looked at Friday and smiled.

"You have your safari gear with you?"

Lady Psyche was a lot like Mirage...intriguing...and maybe just a bit dangerous.

"Mirage does present a very good point. If you can get us some info on where the Bertelli's are located, we can...shall we say...lean on 'em to find out who their supplier is? And I'm pretty sure we were going to bump into them at some point anyway. Better sooner or later."

He then looked at Lady Psyche. "What do you think? Think you can get us the goods, so to speak?"

Mirage looked lazily over at Hotwire.  "You're using your scary, obsessive voice again, Hotwire." she said with a grin.  "Is there something wrong with doing what you need to do here where we can all keep an eye on you, just in case you decide to do something rash?  I'll keep that nasty Lady Psyche away from you."

Re: The Legacy's Headquarters

Friday smirked at Katy's flirting with Lucas.   As insecure as she normally was with her appearance and desirability, she was very secure in how Lucas felt about her.
She thought Lady Psyche's infatuation with the handsome, too-good-to-be-true man was seriously adorable.

In her mind, she sent back:
I'll bring Lucas dancing, but you need to bring  your own date, hun.   I love to show him off, but he's eye candy ONLY, remember?   Why don't you invite Captain Jordan?  He's been so stressed lately.  Getting that guy laid would be a public service.
Her mental projection gave a good-natured chuckle.

After she'd first developed telepathy, it had been a effort to use it through her own mental shields.  She'd had to, for lack of a better analogy, open a porthole in her mental armor.   Recent months, though, had allowed her to create a kind of "waiting room" for telepathic thoughts to be listened to, that were separate from her mind, behind her formidible shields.   It was a bit like a computer server that was connected to the outside internet, but not to the main drive, so anything "downloaded" could be scanned for safety before being allowed inside.

To the rest, she said aloud:
I have some "friends in low places" that might know about the Bertellis.   People that they've dealt with, that kind of thing.  I might be able to find out more, too.
