"About time you came back.," Draco spoke up as Dragon Fist - er, Lucas - entered the dojo. "Sooner than I expected, though." He was sitting in the middle of the floor, facing the door of which Lucas entered. "So, how went it?"
"It went..." Lucas nodded as he sat down. "The good news is...that gang has been told hands off...the bad news is, I get a feeling that someone really dangerous is about to make their presence felt in Weston."
"Yes...dangerous. He was beaten today...but that will only make him more determined. And...I think he might even have the ability to copy powers as well."
Draco was shocked. "Copy!?" He shook his head. "Great. Any power could be used by him, if he can copy. How would we - probably you, in this case - defeat such a foe?"
Lucas replied "I believe that I might have gotten lucky this time. He wasn't used to my powerset. But he was able to adapt to it very fast. And it's nearly impossible to sneak up on him too."
"Sheesh, OK then. Looks like I'm out of the equation. It's not like I've got anything to lose, though. Besides, not to enter the den while the lions are roaring, but when they rest."
"Did you remember what we talked about? On the rooftop? You can't just blindly throw yourself into a situation that you have no prior knowledge of. I'm not trying to squeeze you out Draco...but this isn't your fight. It's mine...and it's something that I have to see through."
"Yes, I do remember, or else my hood would still be on now. I know what you mean, trust me. You throw yourself into a bad situation that you know nothing about and you might come out in a sealed coffin. Your fight; I won't get involved if you don't want me to." Draco looked around for a bit. "You know a place I could stay at?"
Lucas smiled, and put his hand on Draco's shoulder.
"Draco...you're young...and I admire that you want to help. There's a lot that you need to learn...but I think that you're on the right track. You're welcome in my class to learn some of the martial arts. As for a place to stay, I can help you with that.."
He produced two $50 dollar bills and handed them to him. "No strings attached...there's a hotel down the street...it's fairly nice...and this will cover you for two nights at least.."
Draco could only nod as he accepted the totaled $100. "You know, I'm beginning to question whether or not I should keep my lack of acceptance of myself or not. It's happening all because of you; you're changing me, and making me feel better." Draco shook his head. "Thanks; thanks for everything that you've done for me."
Lucas nodded at Draco. "You're welcome Draco. And I'm happy to be a part of your changing. Acceptance of the self is the first step to being self sufficient. There is no enlightenment, no knowledge, outside of oneself, and what one experiences. I am honored that I'm at least a small part of that development."
After Draco left, Lucas used the quiet to focus himself and his fighting skills. Not to mention the new lessons he had learned while training with the Two Dragons. He wondered where Mirage was at this moment. Their mental link hadn't become strong...yet...but then again Lucas at that moment had no idea of her newfound telepathy.
He would talk with Helena later. Right now, there were several forces being arrayed against them. This time-travelling madman, for one.
Lucas then received the message from Ozzy in regards to Meg. It seemed as if the hits kept coming. He was STILL very concerned over the negative chi that he had sensed coming from Mirage, hoping that his newfound senses were wrong in this instance.
But the New Age Defenders needed help with Meg as well.
He then sent out a mental message to both the NADs and Mirage...
Lucas was worried about Mirage. The presence of negative chi was too hard to ignore. He hoped that she was OK...but the fact that it was there...it was present...compelled him to take action. He also didn't want to abandon Meg either.
Stepping out of the dojo, he locked it up, and then summoning his armor, he took towards the rooftops, hoping to get a better vantage to start searching for Helena. Something told him that she might be in trouble.
