Meg shook her head, and said quietly "Then your brother is in very deep trouble.  Because I'm fairly sure that I know who we bumped into.  And I'm very glad that I didn't do anything to display what ELSE I can do."

Lucas nodded at Meg.

"Now you understand my concern...."

He looked at her closely for a moment.

"You and Zeke...have been talking? Or at least going to have coffee? That's good. If I may...I have known Zeke for some time. The man may not be perfect, but believe me when I say that he's a good man..."

  Meg nodded, and said "Yeah, we get together and have coffee, or he has coffee, and I have hot cocoa.  Or hot tea.  Or even a little sake.  Mom sent him some cookies too . . . "

  The ringing of Lucas' cellular phone made Meg look at her own.  She looked at the message from Hotwire again, and muttered "When did he learn Chinese?  And why is he texting in it??"  She tapped out a quick message for him, since she was now basically at loose ends, again.

"Give Zeke a chance, Meg. He'l impress you."

He then added, "Thank you again for all your help Meg. My concern is that my enemy knows about you now, and may target you. Please be careful..."

  Meg shook her head, and said "I'm durable, I bounce.  You have no idea, really, how well I bounce yet."

Lucas's fone is still ringing with anumber he does not recognize.

Lucas picks up the phone.

"Um..hello?"

A familiar voice speaks. "We've got a situation."

Lucas was surprised to hear Don's voice.

"What's happening Don?"

"Theres a riot at the prison, someone sent everyone loose." Lucaas can hear ytelling in the background. "I'm doing my best but I can't handle this many psychos on my own. Get everyone you can get down here and fast. Gotta go." Click

"I hear you, Don....I'll get everyone I can together...."

Boy...the hits just keep right on coming...first this...now the prison break....

"Meg...I hate to impose...I really do...but it seems that a situation has come up...there's a prison break...it's up to you though..."

  Meg gave Lucas a look, and said flatly "If you apologize one more time for 'imposing' when it's a heroing job, I'm going to break your arm.  If things are going on, and I'm here, YES, I will help.  Stop apologizing and either lead the way, or tell ME where it is and get OUT of the way."

Lucas looked wideeyed at the young woman.

If I didn't know better, I'd almost swear that Friday leaped into her body for a moment...

"All right then...let's go...you head out first...I have to lock up..."

  Meg nodded, then headed for the door, asking him "Where am I headed?"

Lucas came running towards the door.

"Weston Penitentiary....that's where all the fun's going down....."

He then sent out another quick text before locking the place up...

"Weston Penitentiary?" Mirage said, walking up beside Lucas.  She could be very sneaky when she wanted to be.  "Is that where we're heading in such a rush?"

Lucas jumped back into a ready stance...then was relieved when he saw Mirage.

"Yeah Mirage...hey thanks for coming....yeah, I just got a message from Don that there's a prison riot...."

"A prison riot?  That sounds like it might be entertaining." Mirage said, with a small predatory smile spreading across her red lips.  "Shall I take us there then?  I assume that the lovely Meg is joining us."

Lucas nodded.

"Meg has been a great help...and continues to be so...I'll armor up in transit..."

He smiled as he, Meg and Mirage made ready to head for the Penitentiary....ready to summon his armor...

"Give me your hands then, my pretties.  You don't want to get lost do you?" Mirage held out her hands towards Meg and Dragon Fist.  "Any place in particular that you'd like to start?  I was visiting Don earlier and I can take us right to his cell.  It's sure to be in the centre of the action."

Lucas took Mirage's hand. He had travelled "Air Mirage" before...and with Mirage transporting them there, hopefully it would keep the Dark Champion clueless about what else she could do.

"Let's go to Don's cell....and we can start from there. Like you said, he's probably in the middle of it..."

He put his other fist over his heart, as he was about to call upon the armor...

  Meg didn't hesitate a heartbeat, simply placed her hand in Mirage's as she said "Thank you." She blushed a bit at Lucas saying she had been helpful though.

"Then we'll be at Hunter's cell in a heartbeat.  You don't have to time me."  Mirage said with a smile.

All three disappeared in a burst of crimson smoke.

Lucas arrived back at the dojo. He was tired. Incredibly tired. The events of the past week were certainly taking its toll on him..and it was starting to show. He had hardly slept in that time, because he was worried about his brother.

Going to the spare bedroom in the back of the dojo, he flopped himself on to the bed. And after a brief bout with exhaustion, found himself in the land of slumbers...
