First off there has been no news on the mysterious creature that attacked the mall yesterday. The Scu got the creature to retreat but they still have been unsuccessful in finding its lair
Gang war is escalating in Weston  after the death of alleged mob boss Antonio Bertelli was found dead in his home. Since then gang related deaths are reaching an all time high and many are wondering what those in the local hero community plan to do about this

The Mayoral election has come up and the Republican party have yet to announce a candidate to go against Mayor Boyd.

Thank you Tania. Para-parties as they are known are when a group of teenagers get together with the plans of becoming parahumans. This is done by performing dangerous stunts in order to activate their latent abilities but these parties produce more body bags then parahumans. Nowhere is it more prevalent than Weston City the Superhero Capital of the world. The question remains if the rise of parahumanity will have a good or bad influence on the world but one thing is sure their influence is felt.

In an creasingly strange series of of Clown related crimes at the christmas parade a clwon santa went rogue terrorizing people before exploding. This just in The hostages have all been freed from the showdown Between New Age Defenders Excelsior and Fluid and the Parahuman known as Energize. Energize has been taken into police custody and FLuid was seen turning into steam before Excelsior flew away without making a statement to the press. NEither has spoken to the press since they're announcement as the first Openly Gay Superheroes one has to wonder whats going on.

IN other news Jet LI and Mila Jovovich have singed on to play the roles of Dragon Fist and Mirage in the Legacy Movie, Donald Derring better known as Hunter of the LEgacy has declined the offer to work as a consultant on the movie due to "time constraints"

Early this morning guards at the parahuman wing of Weston Penitentiary reported four missing prisoners all awaiting pending trial, three of which were allegedly involved in an attack on Weston First National Bank. This is the second breakout in a month making one wonder what the government plans to do  in holding on to Parahuman Criminals.

In Other news several people have been found drained of their blood, is there a new serial killer on the streets? Captain Jordan of the Special Crimes Unit declined to comment.

Last night a loca suburban home  was vandalized having been completely covered in toilet paper, taped to the door was a letter addressed to New Age Defenders Excelsior and Fluid the contents of the letter were not released.

All in all Zeke seems to be handling himself rather well as he stands at a podium with his standard mechanic looking jeans, duster and a pair of goggles with a bandana covering his mouth.  The bandana is shifted just enough so as not to hamper his speach.  Behind him to his sides are the President and a handful of advisors from a gambit of government departments.

"My fellow americans, it is with a heavy heart that I come before you today.  You know me as Hotwire, a member of Legacy serving in Weston City.  Recently through a situation I was taken away from the public eye, otherwise I would have spoken with you sooner.  My heart, thoughts and prayers go to the families and friends that have lost loved ones to this newest activity known as 'Para-Parties'.  I certainly understand the allure of the power and ability being a parahuman involves.  However, there is something more.  Responsibility, Judgement, Sacrifice and Service.  I hope and believe that most wishing to activate their latent abilities are doing so for these reasons, their actions of deliberately placing themselves in harmsway are not the proper actions for doing this.  And these actions themselves show that they are not ready to responsibly use their abilities.

The thought that Near-Death experience is the cause for latent powers becoming active is harshly inaccurate.  While my latent abilities activated due to a near death experience, between The New Age Defenders  and Legacy, I am in the minority.  I can count on one hand the number of people that had their powers activate in near-death experience.  The others were either born with these abilities or they were given these abilities through other means.  Due to Responsibility, Judgement, Sacrifice and Service.

With this in mind, I will be opening several Boot Camps using retired Drill Instructors to teach this integral aspect of being a hero.  Those that graduate this eight week course will be admited into a college I will be opening for Parahuman Studies.  There are devices that can be used to render parahuman abilities safely innert.  If there is a way to safely deactivate them, there is a way to safely activate them.  Too much at once can cause a psychological break.  This will be a gradual process.  Thank you and good night."

Cameras flash and a chorus of questions are answered but Zeke politely nods, waving off the questions as he exits.  A spokesman for the President stands to inform them these are the early stages and more information would be coming in the next few weeks.

In local news, Weston PD have found several bodies of what were alleged to be members of the Yakuza. A police spokesperson said that the only evidence toward this potential conclusion were tattoos that some of the deceased wore. They were found, apparently slashed by a bladed weapon, and it is unknown whether this was an internal matter or outside interference. In an isolated incident, several other street gang members were found, traumatized and injured, attributing their injuries to a "Living Shadow."

In National News, the Surgeon General has called for a crackdown on the new drug known as Blood. Presently, very little is known about it, but its harmful effects have been noticed by those on our Nation's Capitol. More on this story as it develops.

In a breaking news story, an explosion was reported at the Weston City Courthouse. At this time, the details are unknown but the explosion was limited to one attorney's office, one Leo Black. It is unknown whether anyone was inside, and when we attempted to contact Mr. Black, we were unable to reach him. Details as we get them.

Tensions continue to run high in Weston after death of senator John Carmichael during an incident in Weston City was quote 'attacked by an ancient evil entity" endquote. There has been an outcry for closer eyes on Parahumans and greater government control over groups like the Legacy.

This just in. A young boy who's skin was changing colors as the police found him beaten to near death. He died en route to the hospital. Near where the boy was found was an anti parahuman slogan not fit for tv broadcast spray painted on the wall.

  In financial news, the reclusive multi-billionaire Darius LeCarde is deceased, and his will has named that all of his substantial holdings, estates and monies are to go to a single heir, name as yet unreleased.  A source in his legal team stated they are attempting to locate his designated heir.

The feed flickered and suddenly the news anchor was replaced by a hard looking African man with a shaved head. "People of Weston. Mere nights ago a boy was murdered his only crime being a parahuman, his only power the ability to display his emotions on his skin akin to a mood ring. In his blood was left a simple message which has been kept from the populace. The Message said 'Freaks get out'. Well I am here to inform you the freaks are not going anywhere. It is clear to me now our two races are incompatible Humanity will never accept us. To the parahuman population watching the New Parahuman Army is here to protect you from humanity. The first shot has already been fired."

Leo entered the news station and went to the front desk and stared at the front desk attendant.

"excuse me I am here...for my interview about parahumans."

"They're ready for you, Mr. Black.." the receptionist said, motioning him and Renee to the newsroom.

Leo walked to the news room and shook hands and sat down.

"Hello."

The blonde newswoman sat down and smiled at Leo.

"Ms. Lancaster was able to pull some strings to get you here." The cameras soon indicated that they were on, broadcasting live.

"Tell us, Mr. Black, more about parahumans..."

Leo smiled and kept his gaze on the news reporter.

"Well first...I am in fact Leo Black the same Leo Black that died a while back but my body reformed...as far as parahumans go we are a growing race. Due to the recent acts of the government taking charge and apprehending parahuman's saying they are going to safe zones is wrong..they should leave us alone and in response to that I am spending my life savings...and plan to build a city just for Parahumans and supporters alike. I am looking for donations to help build this city. This city will take time and a great deal of money but due to the grow in the rise of parahumans its time they had a place to call home...I am naming this city South Haven."

After Leo's interview, there was an envelope addressed to "Leo Black"

Leo said his goodbyes and thanks to the news staff for allowing him to do his announcement and with a a charismatic smile he got up and left. He took Lightstrike with him.

In entertainment news the Legacy Movie hits theater's next week the highly anticipated film about the first superteam is already getting a lot of attention. With the all star cast of, Jet Li playing the Mystic Martial Artist Dragon Fist, Charlize Theron as the Beautiful Bird Of Prey Peregrine, Keanu Reevees as the Master of Electronics Hotwire, Mila Jovovich as the Mysterious femme fatale Mirage, and Bruce Willis as the worlds most dangerous man Hunter, people are really excited over this one.


In Business news European Philanthropist Lazarus Dirkholme is traveling to Weston hoping to be here within the week. The famous billionaire has yet to reveal exactly what his plans for the city are though he did make this statement last week.

The camera shows a handsome well dressed man in his mid thirties standing in front of a large mansion in europe. He speaks with no accent. "We've been thinking of starting a branch of Eternal Consolidated, for quite some time and I'm curious about this, super hero capital of the world. But as for specifics, everyone will just have to wait and see."

"...while the clean up of the aftermath of the invasion continues.  The Mayor praised the actions of Westons Para community that rose up to defend the city in its time of need.  Weston Police would also like to remind citizens to report any alien technology that they might find immediately and not touch it.  Rumors of..."

The anchor paused, pressing a finger to his ear.  "This just in, we are receiving reports of some activity at Weston Museum...."

Today Several cities around the world saw themselves attacked by what appeared to be Alien Invaders. While Earth has only been aware of life outside our Solar System for several years, thus far all relations with our Galactic neighbors have been friendly and sources tell Channel 5 that this is a species yet to be encountered. The Invasion force was fought off by Earth's heroes, New York's most popular heroes The Leather Avenger and Druid were seen battling the Aliens in Manhattan, while the U.K. based team The Knighthood were seen fighting in London.

Members of The Global Guardians were seen at Multiple hotspots around the globe, and Excelsior himself was seen here in Weston with several new heroes. The Earth's premiere Defender and leader of the Global Guardians had this to say.

"Judging by the size of the force we believe this to be a scouting party and not an invasion itself, The Global Guardians are working with World Governments and their heroes to prepare for future aggression, as well as investigating what prompted this attack."

In entertainment news, Legacy 3: Demonic Devastation, depicting the teams battle with Ahriman and the loss of their leader Peregrine, comes out later this month. Today we sit down with Keanu Reeves to discuss his character Hotwire and the day he spent at "Proffesor Para's" Parahuman training camp to research his role.

  Good morning Weston!  There have been several items of note in world news.

  First, there has been an escape from the prisoners of the Honeycomb, Dustin Clydealles and Krissy Clydealles have escaped from their transport while en-route to the mental facility currently providing the mental health services for those incarcerated.  These two extremely dangerous individuals have a record for psychotic serial murder with victim counts in triple digits.  This escape comes after years of seeming model prisoner behavior, and authorities are a bit stunned.

Closer to home, we are having a Children's Festival on the Green in the City Park, free food, bouncy houses, face painting, games and more for children, as well as a chance for those weary parents to let them all play and relax.


In other news, New Age Defenders 2 has been announced, with some talk of trying to recruit  some parahumans as actors in the movies.  This is a new move by the entertainment industry.
