Re: McHaggis'

Mirage had been in McHaggis' for almost an hour.  She was disguised as a European businesswoman.  She was dressed in tight leather pants and a button down shirt, her blonde hair drawn back into a tight braid and high heeled boots.  Over this she wore a leather jacket.  She was equal parts sexy and severe, so much so that it had taken some of the patrons a little while to build up the courage to hit on her.

She sat at a table, sipping an expensive brandy and conversing with a couple of low level 'business men'.  She had cased the place and found a couple of Bertelli family enforcers sitting off in one corner of the establishment.  So far they had only given her a wary look and were less than approachable.  She had to play her role though, that of a european arms dealer looking for buyers of 'unique weapons' and had been subtly making enquiries.

Luckily Dragon Fist and her had expected such difficulties.

Re: McHaggis'

Lucas waited outside of McHaggis for about an hour so, to let Mirage"stir the pot." He would play the part of the defeated hero so that he and Mirage could get closer to who was supplying the Bertellis with these new weapons.

Ducking into a seedy alleyway, he once again summoned the armor of the Dragon Fist. Mirage "defeating" him should give her the notoriety she would need to gain their confidence.

Brazenly, Dragon Fist walked into the bar. He stood for a moment so that the patrons could get a GOOD look at him.

"All right...somebody's been putting their hand in the cookie jar...and selling some red-hot weapons in this city. Someone gonna talk or am I gonna have to get...persuasive?"

He only shot a brief glance in Mirage's direction, then made himself ready just in case the patrons got lippy...

Re: McHaggis'

Mirage looked non-plussed by Dragon Fists appearance.  It might have been part of their plan but she was going to play it cool for the moment.  She'd wait until Dragon Fist had cracked a few heads before moving on to the next part of their plan.  she was a little envious that DF would get the chance for some two-fist therapy but it was all part of the plan.  A few beaten up thugs and someone would eventually point her out.

Re: McHaggis'

A couple of thugs got up and entered Dragon Fist's "comfort zone."

"What if I were to tell you that I knew shit...but I'm not gonna tell you anything? Whatcha gonna do, mister superhero?"

Dragon Fist retaliated with a very fast sidekick, sending the man plummeting backwards.

DF then turned towards some of the others. "So...is anyone else feeling cooperative? I've got all night..."

One thug flicked a switchblade and lunged at the armored martial artist.

"Seriously?"

Dragon Fist gracefully stepped aside from the knife-wielding assailant and then executed a double pump kick, once to his chest, the other to his face.

He then turned in the general direction of where "Mirage" was...but not addressing her directly. One of the thugs piped up, pointing directly at Mirage.

"That chick there...she's big-time...she probably knows some stuff..."

Dragon Fist began to walk in that direction. "So...the weapons? Where?"

Re: McHaggis'

OOC:  As we discussed, I'm just wrapping up this little distraction.

Mirage made sure that she put on a good show for those assembled in McHaggis'.  She was resistant when Dragon Fist starting asking her questions but of course the situation escalated.  Before long the men who were sitting at the table with her were flat on their backs and Mirage and Dragon Fist were fighting.

It was to be a onsided fight of course.  Mirage was putting up enough of a fight to show that she wasn't afraid of Dragon Fist but she was no where near as skilled as he was.  In the end, she pulled out the energy blaster from her jacket and fired it at Dragon Fist.  DF made that appropriate reaction, flying out of the bar.  Mirage went after him, 'determined' to put the hero down for good.  With a few others looking on, she fired another blast into 'Dragon Fist', who was actually an illusion for the real Dragon fist was elsewhere.  She refrained from 'killing' him, preferring to have him deliver a message to the Legacy that there was a new group in town and they would not tolerate any interference.

By this time, sirens could be heard and everyone scattered, but not before Mirage had a quick word with the Bertelli's.  She scored an invitation.

Re: McHaggis'

McHaggis' was busy tonight.  Lots of people, lots to do.  Plenty of marks and pockets and wallets too.

Re: McHaggis'

--== Time Skip ==--

"Hello boys."  Mirage purred as she leaned casually against the door leading in to McHaggis' little den of shady people.  It had been a while since she had been in the place and it was looking like nothing had changed.

Good.

She walked casually to the bar, exaggerating the sway of her hip with each step and smiling at the tables that she passed.  She slid up on to one of the bar stools and crossed her legs, letting the long slit in the skirt of her dress fall away to reveal long black thigh high boots.  Normally she'd love to just roust the bar, beating up every one of these low lifes, but, feeling a little playful, she decided to try a little bit of honey first.

"I'm looking to set up a meeting with Tzarina.  There's some business we need to discuss.  I can make it worth the while of anyone who can help me."

Re: McHaggis'

It only took a little bit of pressure and a subtle twist in a direction that the human wrist was never meant to go to force the larger man into the top of the bar.

"Really now, that's hardly the way to speak to a lady."  Mirage said through a predatory smile.  She twisted the mans wrist a little more causing him to grunt in pain.  It was a nice sound.  "I really don't care if the villain said it in a movie, it's hardly a proper way to address a lady, especially one that can easily put you into traction for the better part of this year."

The man, some thug or another who had decided to act tough, tried to say something but Mirage cut him off.  "I'm sorry.  Were you about to apologize?"  The man whimpered something and Mirage released her grip on his wrist.  She turned to the others in the seedy bar.  "Would anyone else like to repeat that word or have we all decided that there's a reason why it fell into disuse?"

No one seemed to want to say anything.  Mirage glared around the bar.  She had tried to be nice this once, offer a reward for information on Tzarina, and it had yielded very unsatisfactory results.  Maybe being Nice just wasn't her way.

"I'll be seeing you all again and I hope that you will have something for me, or...well I really don't have to say or else now do I?"

She vanished in a swirl of crimson smoke.
