Icepick looked around after their respective robbers were taken into custody. He then looked down at his icy frame. Damn..bullets hurt...but those should have KILLED him. But they didn't....

And that was just a bit frightening. He then looked toward Candy, making sure that she was all right.

Victoria smirked.

"So..I take it that we'll be doing things like this on a continuing basis? It sure does beat waiting for the next intradimensional invader, that's for sure. But enough of that. Perhaps I can scry for her...or at least try to find what makes this person so....unique."

  Candy was still waiting where they'd left her, outside and out of the crossfire.  She was watching the building with some concern, but nobody was going to mess with a woman sheathed in fire.

"Thanks for that, Megs. Man, that feels better," said Painter, getting up off of his hammer as Meg's healing repaired the damage he'd taken from Beetle's tackle.

"Note to self: Never take my eyes off my target before I'm sure they can't break free. If I wasn't wearing my armor, I'd be an Ozzy-flavored smear on the floor, more'n likely. If I'd seen him coming, I could've done him like I did Mass an' Brawl the other night."

Painter then turned to Victoria, saying, "Actually, speakin' of interdimensional threats, I've got a question for you. What do you know about a dimension of pure shadow? My seer contact can probably show you, if need be. One of the more annoying foes from our rogue's gallery apparently escaped there to recuperate in some weird cocoon after I dealt with him last, and I was wondering if you had any idea on how to get there and deal with him permanently. Right now, the best we've been able to manage is an alarm spell that should give us maybe half a second's warning before he 'ports in to try and get us, as a worst case scenario."

Victoria replied, "Well, I haven't dealt with the Shadow dimension, but I do know that there are those who draw on its power..Shadowmancers. They're known to align with infernal powers, and it wouldn't surprise me if your enemy concocted a deal with them. I will have to access some of my books in regards to it, but I will be glad to look into that for you."

In amatter of mInutess the police arrive on the scene to take care of the remaining bank robbers and get statements. They show up in force obviously having planned to handle this them selves some look a little relived that its handled others look a little peeved.

"Thanks. If nothing else, knowing the size and speed of the knife coming for my seer friend's throat might just help me help him evade it. Because, honestly, that's the only move he could make that worries me right now. If he doesn't come directly for the seer, then he can be found again. Fortunately for me he hasn't seen the seer... though that may be an 'unfortunately' for me, since he may try to go for me first to get me to squeal. Not that that'll work, mind you." said Painter, nodding.

"Well, now that it's been a bit, I think it's safe to say that their 'porter friend isn't coming back for them. Time to call the cops."

With that, Painter called the police, and made sure to let them know that some of the robbers escaped, and that at least one of them has some kind of teleporting powers.

Excelsior watched as the police arrived. "You guys need me for this? Or can I head home?"

Icepick ducked out of sight as the cops moved in, once again assuming the human form of Jeff Yoshida.

Now, back on the street, he went next to Candy and smiled. "That's pretty hot...and yes, a pun was intended.."

"Yeah, Ex, go back to Fluid. We got this now. Thanks, man!" replied Painter, a smile in his voice.

He then proceeded to help the police however he could.

"Thanks Painter. I just hope he isn't too pissed about me taking off with no warning and coming back hurt. I'll catch you guys later." And with that Ex took to the skies.

The police get statements from each of the heroes as well as witnesses inside the bank being sure to check what powers teh robbers had and what precautions they should take. SOme of the Swat guys are off to the side a few of them smoking ciggarrettes most of them talking seemed some of them were spoiling for some action.

  Candy giggled, and said "Well, they're hardly going to try and mug me, unless they want a nice burn!"

  Andy waved to Bill, and then asked Vic silently {{Where to, my Lady?}}

Back to the Sanctum for now. Ozzy needs me to look into information about the Shadow realm. It seems that an enemy of his may be hiding there...

Jeff grinned.

"Yeah...they won't be the same after ya singe em..."

  He smiled, and drew his wings around them both, and then they vanished.  Headed back to her sanctum.

ONce the statements are taken the remaining heroes are free to go abou thteir business.

  Meg waited until the police were done with them, then lifted into the sky, spinning her way up, then soaring to the HQ.  She wanted to watch Malcolm's other video.  They'd watched his will, but she wanted to see his autobiography.

  Candy giggled, and said "Wanna beat them all there?"

Jeff looked at her, sort of surprised. Then a mental light bulb went off in his head and he grinned.

"Sure!"

  She took his hand, her flames going out, and teleported them.

Once Ozzy had made sure that his Grandfather was all right, he skated off, letting the armor drop when he got away from the scene. He then headed to Clarissa's parents. He hadn't wanted to intrude during Christmas, but now that Christmas had passed, he needed to give the necklace back.
