Re: Weston City Hospital

Ozzy grinned and said, "Heh... I guess I haven't used that name in a while, the whole secret identity thing has kinda gone out the window. Maybe a look will refresh your memory."

With that, green paint flowed out of his sleeves and wrapped around his entire body, forming what could almost be described as a Power Rangers outfit. May would likely recognize the suit, as he'd been on the news several times as Painter, the leader of the New Age Defenders, the para-teens who'd helped first save Manhattan, and then the world, with Weston itself being saved more than once in between. And that was just what the public knew.

"Painter, of the New Age Defenders. We're superheroes. I know I don't look much like a teenager now, but I swear I'm sixteen. It's... complicated."

Re: Weston City Hospital

May stared dumbfounded at Tim as Ozzy finished his introduction. "Superheroes!? Your friends are superheroes? And one of them sees the future? And we've got some kind of destiny?" The girl put a hand to her head. "Oy vey this is a LOT to take in."

Re: Weston City Hospital

Tim grinned, a bit sheepishly, and said "Umm, Yes?  You've got to have realized, I live with the New Age Defenders, most of them."  He'd parked himself on the far side of Penny from most everyone else, and when the PA system crackled, he jumped, and his outline fuzzed into crackling electricity, the robe and pants falling to the floor.

Clarissa nodded, and told May "That would be my fault.  But at least he looks OLD enough to be married!  I'm also sixteen, but this isn't what is now my 'natural' form."

Re: Weston City Hospital

When Tim went ethereal, Ozzy facepalmed and said, "Really? Dude... okay, so priorities one and two in figuring out your powers is A) getting you some control and B) getting you to take your clothes and stuff with you. This is gonna be interesting. Eh, whatever, nothing I haven't seen in the gym class locker-room."

With that, he picked up Tim's clothes, tossed them into a corner of the room, and then used paint to set up a privacy screen as he said, "There. Have a spot where you can turn back."

Re: Weston City Hospital

Tim had backed away from Penny so he didn't zap her, and he answered, sounding very staticy "I don't exactly have a good handle on this yet.  I'm not even sure exactly what I'm DOING here . . "  He managed to get himself back to human, and snagged those clothes to drag them on.  "But doing THAT, I am guessing, is what kept me alive.  Apparently I flicker when startled?"

May blushed heavily as Tim lost his clothes again, she tried to avert her eyes but she kept finding herself sneaking looks despite herself. "Its nothing I've seen before"

Tim had turned a lovely pink shade with blush once he was solid again, and said "Of the options it looks like I had, dressed and dead or butt-naked and alive, I THINK I can handle naked and alive.  Just gonna turn permanently pink."

Ozzy chuckled and said, "Which is why you, me, and possibly Jack are gonna do some training sessions behind closed doors, so you can focus on getting a handle on your power and not on whether or not any ladies in the room are checking out your family jewels. They'll just have to fantasize about us breaking out the rulers instead. Who knows, maybe they can even get their stories turned into yaoi. Odin knows there's probably some out there already, especially about Rebound over here. Cosmo voted you, what, number three dreamiest superhero?"

Jack shrugged still holding onto Penny. "Something like that, I'm still surprised Bill got number 1 though with the coming out on television and all that. It's kind of obvious he's not going for Cosmo readers."

Ozzy grinned and replied, "Hey, I'm serious. Rule 34. "If it exists, there is porn of it. Yes, even that." And, really, since when has the whole 'he's gay' thing mattered in any situation? I'm pretty sure Elton John had more than a few rabid fangirls who'd have liked to have tried to turn him straight."

May, still blushing furiously retreated to a corner as Tim headed behind the paint screen to get dressed in her bathrobe and yoga pants again. She kept looking around from person to person. She was in a room full of superheroes and she couldn't help but feel out of place. What was she doing here? And what did what the blind girl said mean?

Clarissa laid a gentle hand on May's shoulder, and said "Believe Penny.  She's never been wrong.  If she says you have a destiny involved with Tim, she knows it.  You wouldn't think I was a basically normal high school social pariah this time last year.  You wouldn't have thought that Ozzy would have been hunting for me for Christmas in a drug den, but it's the truth.  Now I'm one of a total of THREE people who can fight the drug-mutants safely."

Penny said simply "She doesn't believe she's one of us yet.  That's the real problem, Ozzy.  Let's be honest, how many TRUE blind-Seers do most people meet in their lives, ones that REALLY see the future?"

Ozzy smiled and said, "Which means you're a parahuman. Now we just have to figure out what you do and how to activate it. And do pardon Penny. She apparently has that oracular disposition for being excessively cryptic and vague. Grandpa does the same thing all the time, so I've learned to speak 'Fortune Teller', as it were."

"But I thought something had to MAKE you parahuman. Like an accident or something, thats why they had those teenagers doing all those dangerous things trying to get powers. And I don't even know what she said MEANS. 'Angelic soul hold the lighting to the right.'? That doesn't even make sense to me."

Ozzy shrugs and says, "Sorry, I got nothin'. My Seerese is a bit too rusty for that particular bit of info I'm afraid. But, hey, if we knew ALL the future, that'd take all the fun out of life, right?"

He then grinned and added, "Said the paranoid planner who is apparently also a hypocrite."

Penny said logically "Not EVERYONE has to go through something stressful.  I have no idea what made my powers active.  Ozzy's have been active for, what, forever?  Andy just had to be OLD enough, and his kicked in.  Sometimes, it isn't stress.  Sometimes, it's just a question of physical maturity."

Ozzy nodded and said, "True. My inborn powers were brought out by a decade's worth of training, and improved by experience and further training. Then I got mutated, which has given me even more powers. To be honest, I'm feelin' kinda Superman-y these days."
