Re: Weston Museum

Dragon Fist saw 8 armed thugs unloading heavy machine guns on what appeared to be a medieval knight blocking the bullets with some kind of ghostly shield. HE held out his right hand and what appeared to be some kind of energy crossbow bolt sped through the air knocking a thug onto his back.

Re: Weston Museum

The thug turned but not quickly enough as Dragon Fist sent him flying into a wall. He landed on the floor slumped. The biggest of them "This is going south fast. Epsilon Cover!" And as the man shouted one of the masked men threw a cylindrical object which started spewing smoke into the building.

Re: Weston Museum

The gunshots were more than enough to set Psyche on edge. Still trying to reign in her thoughts so they weren't so blatantly revealed to Mirage, Psyche disappeared, fading from view with no hint of smoke or haze, reappearing behind the thugs. The best thing about having something that wouldn't get off your mind, especially if you were psychically empowered, was it almost literally became a weapon.

Sending several blasts of telekinetic energy barreling towards the thugs, Psyche casually conjured up a mask around her face. Of course, the illusion made her look like a female Sub-Zero, but anything with the words smoke and grenade together usually meant bad things for the lungs.

A knight.  How quaint, Mirage thought.  Lady Psyche and Dragon Fist seemed to have the situation well in hand, so Mirage went off after the escaping leader.

Re: Weston Museum

The scene outside left Mirage with two choices.  She could pursue a low slung car with no plates heading to the north, and a full sized conversion van heading south.  Who was in which was hard to say, but she could tell they had a well planned exit strategy that was designed to throw off pursuit.

Dragon Fist, seeing the other thugs scatter in the fusion or get knocked out by Psyche's blasts, soon turned back to the "Knightly One."

Briefly, he eyed the other individual, the eyeholes on his helmet flashing an azure blue, he used his Chi sense to get an idea of what this man's Chi looked like.

"You all right? And what do we call you?"

"I'm fine. I uhhh. Haven't figured that out yet. This is kinda new to me. Like last ten minutes new." The knight replied. As Dragonfist viewed his chi he saw a man willing to do whatever it took to keep people from going through the pain he did. He also sensed he was unsure of where his path led.

"Don't worry...I'll help you sort it out," Dragon Fist said, now a bit more relaxed around the fledgling hero. "For now, we need to make sure the patrons in the museum are okay. You did a pretty decent job against those thugs."

"Thanks, I'd appreciate that." THe knight replied as he looked around at the kids some of which were still terrified others had taken out their phones to get pictures of the heroes and where chatting excitably. "I don't think they hurt any of them think we got em before that happened."

"All right then...we'd better let Weston's finest take over from here," Dragon Fist said as he began to make his way out of the museum, gesturing him to come along, hopefully away from prying eyes.

"Psyche...Mirage...where are you guys?"

In reply to Thugs (msg #126):

"How clever."  Mirage muttered.  There was only one of her and she couldn't pursue both vehicles.  If she went after one, the other would get away.  Did they get anything?  Steal anything?  The whole scene had happened so quickly that she wasn't sure.

The car with no plates would be the faster of the two, so Mirage decided to go after that one.  She disappeared in a thick billow of crimson smoke and long skirts, teleporting right on to the hood of the fleeing car.

Re: Weston Museum

The driver of the car, with his vision now impaired by a woman on the hood, began to swerve his car wildly back and forth across the road.  He'd gotten onto one of the bigger streets in Weston, and was causing havoc by his wild driving.  He was trying to throw her off the hood one way or the other, and he didn't seem to care HOW many other cars he clipped in the process!

Re: Weston Museum

Mirage had to grab on to the hood of the swerving car.  She lost her footing and slammed onto the hood, sliding back and forth with the motion of the car.  The sound of multiple car horns warning off the wild car brought the situation into a clearer perspective.  The driver might hit an innocent in the process of trying to shake her off.  That was not going to do.

There was only one way that she could think of to stop the car and avoid causing any collateral damage to other drivers on the rode.  She just hoped that it wouldn't hurt too much.

OOC:  Mirage is going to try and teleport the car someplace safer, like an alleyway or a nearby body of water.  Seeing as how it's a quick reactive move, she might not be all that successful.  I'm expecting her to take the car into a wall or something but I'll leave it up to you GM's.  :)

Dragon Fist looked around for a moment. The scene was bustling with lots of activity.

"We need to find a place to converse, out of the sight of prying ears. Can you make your way to the rooftops? If not, we can meet at the park. It seems there's a lot that we must discuss."

Seeing the ghostly steed take form, Dragon Fist extended his draconic wings and leaped into the air, looking for a solitary rooftop where he and his new friend could converse.

The cat, it's passenger, and Mirage all teleported, but it definitely wasn't a danger to other drivers now.  They appeared twenty feet in the air, and dropped into the waters of the river as the car's wheels spun madly without anything to give them traction.  Creating a tremendous splash!

Re: Weston Museum

That worked out well, Mirage thought as she brushed water from her eyes.  Now that the car wasn't swerving about, she was actually able to get a solid footing on the hood.  She crouched on the hood, resting a hand on the cars windshield while a crimson coloured war hammer appeared in her other.

"Now then, Darling.  I believe that you and I have a conversation coming up." she grinned.

The driver was looking a bit panicked, since this spot of the river was deep enough that the car was sinking, and he couldn't GET his door open.

Re: Weston Museum

The driver was scared.  Good.  Mirage liked scared thieves.  Using her psionically created war hammer, Mirage smashed the car windshield and yanked the thief out.  She held him up by the collar still standing on the hood of the car.

"I just did you a good turn, Darling.  Why don't you repay me by giving me a little information?  Hmm?"
