Ex went flying over Energize and crashed to the ground as Energize zapped him. He groaned slowly standing to his feet.

  Being an already boiling puddle, it didn't take much to completely vaporize him (again).  Much to his aggravation.

"Darren!" BIll called out as his lover evaporated, again zooming forward to ENergize givin him a gut punch though while holding back was still pretty hard.

Enrgize lifted his hand releasing a blast of electricity into Excelsior!

Ex gritted his teeth as the elctricity coursed through him. It hurt like hell, but he could deal, for Darren. He punched ENergize in the head knocking him out before freeing the hostages and sending a mindworm message.

After the hostages were free and the Police had taken Energize away Excelsior took to the sky.

Jeff arrived at the park and their cuddling spot.

"Shall we?" he said grinning, motioning towards the bench.

  Candy giggled, and said "You sit first, so I have your lap to sit on."

Jeff sat down, only a mere second or two later, then held out his arms to Candy, beckoning her to come to him.

  Candy smiled, and slid onto his lap and into his arms, giving him a kiss.

Jeff kissed her back, then held her in his arms.

"Um...this might sound kinda corny...but....well, it's probably pretty stupid.."

  Candy kissed him, and said "Do I look worried about sounding stupid or corny?  I love cuddling with you!"

Jeff briefly stroked Candy's hair.

"Well....I...look, I'm just gonna come out and say it, only 'cause I don't know any other way to say it."

He paused for a moment.

"I'm in love with you.."

  She smiled, and leaned against him, and said softly "I'm pretty certain I'm in love with you too.  So, let's stick together like  glue!"

"I can accomodate you there, Ms. Michaels," Jeff replied as he cuddled closer with her.

  She hugged him tightly, and said softly "I've never felt so happy with anyone like this before.  It's wonderful!!"

"I feel the same," Jeff replied as he hugged her.

  Candy kissed him, and said "We make a perfect pair, you know.  Opposites attract!"

"Yes they do...although in our case, I think the opposites are awesome.."

  Candy grinned, and kissed him, then said softly "Fire and Ice are a great partnership."

"Yes we are.." Jeff replied softly. "We've gotta come up with a codename for ya at some point..."

Jeff then seemed to be listening to a voice he could only hear, only for a brief moment.

He continued to hold Candy close to him. "Hey...guess what? Looks like you're not the only new member of the New Age Defenders. I just got a message that two people we encountered before are at our HQ. They've been messed over pretty bad, but we all just agreed to welcome 'em aboard."

  Candy smiled, and said "Awesome, I won't feel quite as awkward!"

"Wanna do the meet and greet thing?" he asked.

  She grinned, and said "Sure!  I've been there, so I can port us there!"
