Jeff smiled.

"Don't worry...we'll get more than just a few minutes alone together. You know holidays are...."

  Candy giggled, and said "All too well.  Everyone else always to have a million things to do."  She ported them to the HQ.

Jeff and Candy soon arrived at the park. And they were seeking out the vampire that had kidnapped Meg.

"Hmm....OK....If I were a vampire, where would I hide? Let's see...vampires don't like sunlight, so I'm betting some kind of underground lair."

  Candy nodded, and said softly "Places where the sun can't reach them."

Jeff nodded, then started to walk across the park grounds, seeing if he could spot a vampiric hidey hole.

  Candy asked dubiously "Do vampires and water mix well?"

"If you want a good recipe for filet de vampire, then it mixes really good."Jeff said as they continued to search.

  Candy said thoughtfully "Well, then most likely they're NOT in the overflow drains for the river."

Jeff shrugged.

"Yeah..so this probably isn't the best place to find ol' Fangface. Oh...I was thinking of manuevers we could do, especially with our vampire problem. I throw out an ice blast at him, you melt the ice beam, which should turn the blast into lots of water."

 Candy considered that, and said thoughtfully "I might be able to do that.  I'm not sure how hot I get, but it's worth a try."

Jeff smiled.

"I'm just trying to think of ways that we can combine our powers. Having fire and ice as an option is pretty resilient."

  Candy said thoughtfully "Well, we are going to have to experiment with some of this.  Superheated steam too.  All SORTS of things present!"

"Yes indeed," Jeff said, giving a thumbs up and then looking to the ground to see if there might be any other indications of a vampire lair.

  Candy asked, thoughtfully "Want a long candy stick to probe for holes and things?"

"Sure...though I might be inclined to eat it too," Jeff said, chuckling slightly. "I've got it covered though."

He then turned, and made what appeared to be a staff of ice, and began to poke the ground for any kind of holes.

  Candy giggled, and made a long stick of what looked like swirled grape and strawberry hard candy, and began to match his probing.

Jeff chuckled as he continued to probe, trying to use the lighthearted nature of their situation to keep his mind off of what they were up against: a bloodsucking creature of the night with no compunction about their misdeeds.

  Candy continued to probe, but they were both coming up empty.

Jeff sighed, figuring that they were coming up empty with this line of searching.

"Looks like the park is a bust. Wanna head to a cafe or something until we hear from the others?"

  Candy grinned, and said "Let's find a cafe somewhere."

Jeff offered her his arm.

"All right, pretty lady. Let's go enjoy the silence, at least for the moment."

  Candy giggled and let him lead, as she leaned the long candy stick against a tree.

Jeff then searched for a quaint little café close to the park.

He grinned at her as they entered.

"All right. What's your pleasure?"

  Candy chuckled, and said "Hot chocolate!"

"One hot chocolate and one mint chocolate espresso please.."

As soon as they were made, he handed Candy her hot chocolate. "Here ya go.."
