"Makes for some warm winters," said Victoria as she stood up from the couch. She then went to a shelf, glancing at one of the arcane tomes.

"Denizens of the Plane of Chaos strive to create discord wherever they are, as part of their own agenda or in servitude to a greater power. Hmmm..."

  Andy smiled, and said "They can try, but I'm not going to let them."

"They tried that, and to their dismay, they didn't sway either of us," Victoria said. "That is why I'm concerned that Anarchic will take a secondary approach, and use our friends in some fashion. Or even use some of the other combustible elements in Weston."

  Andy nodded, and said "I know.  Which is why we warned the others."

Victoria nodded.

"I'm glad the others are warned. I just hate being reactive, especially against someone like this."

  He rumbled softly "So we begin to hunt him."

"Chaos magic leaves a distinct signature," Victoria replied. "It shouldn't be too hard to track, and now that we're rested, we can begin the hunt in earnest."

  Andy smiled, and kissed her throat, then whispered "You must play eyes and ears for me, and I will hunt and destroy on your signal, my beloved."

Victoria smiled, then gathered several accessories: a brilliant Chinese broadsword, a belt of various pouches and talismans, and a necklace. Soon, she shimmered, and she was in the visage of the Black Jaguar.

"I'm ready. And don't think that you will be fighting him alone."

  Andy laughed, and said affectionately "I am NEVER alone, for your heart is always with me, Vic."

Victoria squeezed his arm affectionately, then smiling, shimmered to the roof of the apartment.

  Andy followed her on foot, chuckling.

Victoria, after Andy arrived, began to scour the rooftop.

"Chaos magic...." she said, now following a trail.

"....seems to have a...."

She moved again.

"...distinct signature...and I think I just found Anarchic's trail."

She pointed, towards the outskirts of Weston.

  Andy spread his wings, and held his hand out to her in invitation.

Victoria accepted the offered hand, ready to take off.

  He tugged her close, kissing her as he launched them, his wings a blur of motion that carried them effortlessly closer to her prey.

Victoria and Andy, along with several of Weston's denizens, had spent time fighting the forces of Chaos. They seemed to relent, at least for the moment. Victoria, however, spent time incessantly trying to investigate who had employed the agents of Chaos to stir up turmoil and dissent amongst the Para Community and the "normal."

Dragon Fist seemed to be missing....or at least off the grid.

Concentrating, she meditated in the midst of several talismans and charms, trying to divine who....or what....was marshaling Anarchic and his Agents of Chaos.

  Andy slid in through the window, glad to be back from an uneventful aerial patrol.  He knew Vic was working through.

Victoria noticed Andy returned. She opened her eyes, glancing towards the handsome Demon Knight.

"Hello Andy. Anything eventful happen while you were out?" she asked, smiling slightly.

  Andy smiled, and kissed her, then said "Quiet patrol, my love.  How did you do?"

Victoria smiled.

"Figments...shadows...but nothing on who or what brought Anarchic or his minions in."

  Andy tugged her close, and kissed her again, then said softly "Well, we are both working on it.  You know, I love you, Vic.  I do hope I'm keeping you feeling sufficiently spoiled rotten."

More than sufficiently," Victoria said, hugging Andy. "No one in this dimension or others has been treated better than the way you treat me. It makes the struggle against the outside forces easier."

  He kissed her again, and said "I do try.  You make it tolerable, knowing I'm damned no matter how hard I try or what I do."
