Re: OOC Trifecta
It's very versatile, but doesn't lack in power either. I can heal, have a nice, reliable ranged AoE damage ability, and have all the skills necessary for alchemy, as well as some magical and thiefy skills. The d8 hit die and Rogue BAB ain't half bad, either.
Which is good, since with my party's setup, I'm needed to function as the primary healer, the wizard, and the rogue, all at once. In a party of four, we have two fighters, a druid, and my Alchemist. The fighters I can live with, since they're both pretty standard fighter builds who play well, and while the druid's player is fun, well... she gets these weird concepts in her head and sticks with them, and refuses to do anything outside of that concept. Her druid is 'supposed to be' a cute, talky character who's good with animals. Unfortunately, she doesn't see healing as 'within' her repetoire, so she never preps healing spells. Her summons are useful, don't get me wrong. It's just kinda odd for a Druid to have 12 wisdom in a point-buy system. She also insists on trying to be the trap monkey, even though her skills in said area aren't nearly as good as mine, given that both my Wisdom and Dexterity are both higher than hers. Of course, she has me beat in Strength, Con, and Charisma (which I took a hit in for some extra points to go into my Int).
She just insists on not playing to her class's strengths is the funny part, I guess. Of course, we haven't died yet, and I have mentioned to her that she'll be needing to donate some to the party fund so I can make potions of Cure Light Wounds during downtimes so we can have more than two shots of Cure Light Wounds a day.
