Re: NPA  Base

"You won't get away with this." The deputy mayor snarled as he futilely fought against his bonds.

Secretly Mirage rolled her eyes but she had a roll to play and would wait to see how things developed.

"Sir.  We still have the Deputy Mayor, but they have not yet sent acquiescence to our demands.  I'm thinking they may have to be sent a reminder of the alternative if they don't do as we demand."

Re: NPA  Base

The man nodded. "They sent a rescue attempt,w hich is why you and vanish are alone." It wasn't really a question.  He brought his hand to his chin. 'GIve them time to know their rescue attempt failed.  if they do not begin submitting tow our demands in two hours we will follow through with the plan." He walked over to the Deputy Mirage and leaned in. "Know that I do not delight in harming others but I will do what is neccessary for my people to be free from human oppresion."

Re: NPA  Base

"...human oppression?  What are you talking about?" The Deputy Mayor asked.  Mirage was curious as to what Rehab meant for she had not heard anything about some people being oppressed within Weston and she was a member of some influential boards.

"Who are you people?"

Re: NPA  Base

The man chuckled. "Surely we haven't been making incredible waves but I'm sure you've heard of us, stopping humans from making anti para hate crimes, our attack on the registration office the failed destruction of the symbol known as Para-dise. We are the new Parahuman army and we are here to make sure this leap in evolution does not become crushed by humanities bootheel."

Re: NPA  Base

So these were the people who destroyed the registration office.  Mirage was a little hypocritical about the whole registration idea.  She supported registering all the bad or sketchy paras but had no intention of ever registering herself.

"Paras have only just started showing up in the last half year.  Aren't you getting a little ahead of yourself with the whole 'crushed under bootheels' bit?  Look, I know you're upset but kidnapping me is not going to help your cause and neither is harming me in anyway if you're leaning in that direction."

"It's not too late to let me go and we can talk about this like civilized men.

Re: NPA  Base

Rehab got very close to the deputy mayor. "And yet all ready I've stopped a total of 17 hate crimes against this new people in this city alone." He stepped back when he mentioned talking like civilised men. "YOu know what your mayor said when I went to his office saying the same thing, He laughed. He Laughed in my face. An dyou think I'm getting ahead of myself?"

Re: NPA  Base

The Mayor had laughed at this guy?  Mirage frowned mentally.  If there were hate crimes being perpetrated then that was yet someone else for her to beat up and if the Mayor wasn't doing anything about it then maybe he wasn't fit to be in office.

"I didn't know that.  But kidnapping me doesn't make you any better than those who are doing the hate crimes.  You're not taking a stand for your people, you're just standing up to be counted amongst the ranks of terrorists.  Is that what you want?"

Re: NPA  Base

Mirage watched Rehab leave, not entirely sure if he was a bad guy or not.  Misguided perhaps but he did seem to have good goal in mind.

"Do you feel the same way?" he asked Bonez.
