Ajax followed Maxim and Domina in walking like he thought about every step. He positioned himself by the door leaning against hte wall with his arms crossed. When Domina asked if they knew who they were he snorted his voice dripping with arrogance speaking with a heavy german accent. "Of course zey don't. Loot at zem, zey are common footsoldiers, simple cannonfodder."

The men look up one remains quiet the other sneered and spoke with contempt "Lady We don't know you from $#%&." He looks over at Ajax promptly flipping him the bird. "Why you keep your opinions to yourself nazi $%#&"

"Maxim" crossed his arms, and stared at the man sitting down, a grim expression on his face.

"You would do well to watch your tongue in the presence of your betters. Especially when they might have a proposition that might interest you. Unless, you just want to rot here for the rest of your mediocre life.."

'Domina' calmly took a seat opposite the criminal.

"Thank you, Maxim.  Americans do seem to enjoy their colourful language." She said, crossing her legs and turning her attention back tot he criminal.  "You would do well to watch your tongue.  As Maxim has said, we are here to offer you a deal in exchange for your release.  We could just as easily leave you here and go speak with someone else, or we could have Ajax demonstrate just how much he dislikes being called a Nazi.  The choice is yours."

"We represent an organization called the Severed Rose.  I doubt that you would have heard of us.  We are looking to expand our operations on this side of the ocean.  A man has recently come to our attention as a suitable candidate to join with us.  What do you know about a man they are calling The Builder?"

THe man looked up. "Your looking for THAT creepy little @%$#?! Your best staying away from that one lady. Super crazy weapon systems are nice but the man is insane."

Ajax's expression went very cold, he stalked over to the table. "You vill not insult my people again, or I vill show you vhy I am no common footsoldier ja?" He glanced over at Domina before adding. "Ve vill decide who vill be usefull and who vill not. Simply tell us vhere he resides."

"An invitation from the Severed Rose is not to be taken lightly. There are those who have received an invitation and refused that no longer can tell the tale," Maxim added. "You would do well to not take this lightly. Now...we seek The Builder."

Mirage couldn't help but smile.  Hunter and Dragon Fist were really getting into their roles.

"Calm yourself, Ajax.  I'm sure that our 'friend' here did not mean anything with his comments." 'Domina' said in a detached tone.  She looked from Hunter to the felon.  "I'm sure that your concern for our safety is touching but we are not asking your opinion.  We want a meeting with The Builder.  If you can help us then we can help you.  If not, then we are wasting our time."

The man shook his head. "Its not your safety you should be worried about, its your sanity. The way he giggles like a freakin schoolgirl when he's cutting someone up, or the fact that he likes his girls broken, defenseless, and young. Guy makes my skin crawl. I don't know where he is, parted ways with him a WHILE ago, but I can point you in the direction of someone who does, but, whats in it for me?"

Ajax nodded at Domina muttering something in German before taking his position by the door again.

Maxim smirked for a moment at the thug's selfish question, waiting to see how Domina would answer him.

Mirage looked at the man coolly.  Let's see just how greedy this guy is.

"If your information is accurate, we could arrange for your release from this jail."

  He nodded slowly, and said "One of his current guards hangs out at McHaggis'.  Has a black widow spider tattoed on the back of his head, and goes with his skull shaved.  He can get you in contact with the Builder."

"Maxim" smirked. It was at McHaggis where Domina had made her original rep, supposedly "defeating" Dragon Fist, to get in good graces with the Builder the first time around. Things really did come full circle.

Only this time they were going to take him down themselves. And make him pay for what he had done to Seer and Rebound.

Ajax remained silent but he looked to Domina to guage her reaction before looking back to the common thug before them.

Mirage glanced over at Dragon Fist.  The two knew McHaggis' rather well, having broken up the place while looking for leads in the past.

"Very well.  We will check out this lead of yours.  If it pans out, we will be back.  You will find that the Severed Rose reward those that aid us in our goals."

Domina rose up out of her seat and turned for the door.

The man stays silent keeping quiet as the three exit.

Maxim looked at the man for a moment through his sunglasses, then followed Domina out the door.

Ajax gave the man one final look up and down like he was sizing him up for a coffin then followed Domina out the door.

Domina walked out of the interrogation room and found an empty conference room.  She turned to Ajax and Maxim after she closed the door.

"It looks like we're going to McHaggis' as our next move.  I would recommend that we stay in disguise while we pursue the lead up to Builder.  We can infiltrate his group and then tear it apart from the inside and take down the man.  Did you notice how frightened our new friend was of Builder?"

Hunter nodded dropping the german accent. "Yeah, I think it'll be best to handle it tommorrow night though, Its getting awful late, I should be getting home and if we show up early and wait around it'll look less suspicious than showing up at last call."

"Sounds like a plan," Maxim added as they walked out of the police station. "And yeah, he definitely seemed to be frightened of him."

He then gave them both a wave as he prepared to exit.

Mirage watched both Dragon Fist and Hunter leave.  Hunter had family responsibilities so Mirage couldn't find fault with his wanting to wait until tomorrow night.

She smiled as Dragon Fist turned to to leave.  His presence made her feel all manner of giddy at times, something that she thought that she'd never be able to feel again.  "See you tomorrow night then."


The question now became, what was she going to do?  She had no family to see to nor any other real responsibilities.  That meant that she was free to prowl about and see what she could stir up.

Maybe a little trip to McHaggis'...

Dragon Fist grinned under his helmet, as he prepared to head off. Today had been long, but good. Now he was going to get some overdue sleep.

The effort of holding herself together after her freedom from Brain's mind-control, coupled with what easily could be the biggest battle she was ever to face, left it's toll on Katherine Hanson. Following Konnish's defeat, Katy was admitted into the hospital, where she spent a good week, drifting in and out of consciousness as her body recuperated from the battle and the drugs. Curiously, while the drugs left her veins and her looks slowly returned to normal, the hardened black tattoo on her chest never left, almost as if it were a reminder of what would happen when your morality is twisted.

When she was released, she slowly set out making amends with the help of Lucas and Mirage. Captain Jordan readily offered her position back, claiming that any reports of a villain named "Psy-witch" never materialized, though Katy suspected Jordan knew a bit about what happened. Her team seemed ecstatic to see her, and while a couple of them tried to probe her mind or otherwise find out what happened, it seemed as if someone had cautioned them against it.

She also rekindled her relationship with Aaron, though any time her powers were brought up or referenced, Katy either changed the subject or acted as if she didn't hear him. But it was eating at her, and everyone who knew her well could see it. But even through her own problems, Katy noticed something other than Katy's mild deflecting was bothering him. He seemed tense, and while Katy would never dream of reading his thoughts, she couldn't help but pick up on his moods. It didn't help that anytime Katy would mention something, Aaron would reply in the same manner Katy did when she was asked about her powers. Aaron would keep his secrets and Katy would deny hers.
