Penny got her clothing on, then carefully made her way to the doorway.  She clicked her tongue to see if things were close.

Hearing the clucking Jack moved over to he and took her gently by the arm. "All set?"

  She smiled, and said "Yes.  Are you ready to get a little rest?  If you hold me, I won't have nightmares."  She felt so safe with him.  It was the only time she felt safe.

"Rest sounds great, It'll be nice to sleep in a bed for a change." Taking her by the arm he led her towards one of the bedrooms helping her get in the bed before climbing in with her.

  She curled up against him, her head pillowed gently on his chest, and she said softly "You keep the nightmares away."  Settling down, cuddling, feeling safe in his arms.  She drifted into sleep with one of his hands clasped in her own.

  Andy reappeared in the NAD HQ, and then morphed to his humanform, pressing a kiss on Vic's head as they appeared.

Victoria smiled as Andy kissed her, then suddenly looked alert.

"Someone is here..."

  Andy nodded, and said "Lead the way, Vic.  You're a bit less intimidating than I am, after all."

Victoria nodded.

"Stay behind me...I'll see what we're dealing with..."

She then began to walk slowly and stealthfully into the HQ. She then cast a spell, and an ethereal eye appeared that seemed to look all throughout for whoever was there.

  That ethereal eye found Seer and Rebound, curled up like a pair of kittens, asleep in one of the bedrooms.  Their posture, even in sleep, one of two lost souls drawing comfort in one another, and definitely not being threatening.

Victoria closed her eyes, and sent to Andy's mind the images that her "Arcane Eye" was seeing.

  Andy nodded, and padded silently toward where the two slept, intending to look at their auras.  He lightly held Vic's hand, smiling at her.

Victoria clasped his hand as they made their way to the two new "occupants" of the HQ.

  Leaning in the doorway, Andy checked their auras, and told Vic silently {{They have suffered greatly, Vic.  Both of them.  They're still suffering, in some ways.  They mean no harm to anyone here.}}

Victoria looked at them both.

"Surely there must be something we can do, Andy..."

The boy stirred one eye opening as he looked aroudn the room. Slowly Detaching himself from the girl He sat up. "Ummm hi. Are you with the New Age Defenders?" He obviously didn't recognize Andy from the last time they met but he had aged 10 years.

"We're friends of theirs," Victoria replied softly. "My name's Victoria...and this is Andy.."

  Andy nodded, and said softly (although still a bass rumble) "Indeed, you've met me before, if you are whom I think you are.  I recognize the young lady with you.  I'm Andy, or Gargoyle.  I'm just . . . older than you might remember."

Jack turned gently shaking Penny awake.  He knew if he got up her dreams would go bad. "I would say I am, I'm Jack Pride, Though I go by Rebound during extracuriculars. This is Penny she also goes by Seer." HE stood looking the two  fo them over. "YOu were the demony guy right? You have gotten older, how did that happen?"

  Andy nodded, and said "I spent ten years in Hell, in the universe's toughest survival course.  It was less than 24 hours here though."

  Penny stirred, and blinked, then sat up slowly, catching Jack's hand to hold onto.  She tilted her head as she said "Who's wearing the . . . perfume?  Incense?  I smell it . . ."

Victoria self-consciously began to evaluate herself when Seer asked the question, then turned to Andy and shrugged.

"THere's a woman here probably her perfume. I know its not me." He told Penny before turning to Andy. "We're here because we need help. I've been set up for my own mothers murder and we well, don't have anywhere to go."

  Andy silently whispered {{You pick up the sandalwood from the incense, Vic.  It's normal for the blind to have more acute senses than normal.  She can't see you.}}  He said softly "Then take sanctuary here.  I would not deny that to you."

Victoria nodded and turned back to the two refugees.

"The Defenders wouldn't mind. From what I've seen of them, they are good people. You say that you were framed...perhaps we can assist to helping to clear you."
