Re: OOC

BTW- Are we supposed to do our own rolls, or not? Been leaving that off, and haven't had a request from the GM to do so. I don't mind either way- I usually prefer to roll, except the rolers all hate me, so it's fine if the GM rolls.

Re: OOC

I'm used to doing all the rolls. Some players provide them and I'm fine with that. So you can do it either way.

Re: OOC

When I returned home it turns out that nothing happens when I try to turn on the computer. I didn't have a problem with this three weeks ago when I used it last. It may take some time to get it fixed, but I hope to have access as soon as possible.

Hope you get it fixed and that it doesn't cost you any money!

I hate computers sometimes!

Re: OOC

I know.  Computers are like cars.  They're awesome, but they can be a bear to fix.

Unfortunately I think it will cost me money.

Re: OOC

If computers were like cars, they wouldn't break. There's lemon laws, if a car did what a computer does, you'd get your money back.

Then again, no one ever does any maintenance on computers...

Re: OOC

Funny thing, that. The two PC's in the house here are seven and ten years old, respectively. Despite their age, they normally run fine. The last time I had a problem, it had to do with a mouse and power cord. The former furry and the latter hot, until the problem which made the former smoking and the latter shorted.

Re: OOC

A furry mouse? Go figure. I have cats, so I use a glide point, they like to play cat & mouse... ;)

(Seriously, the youngest one bats it off the desk so dangles from the cord, and then slaps it around for hours on end.)

Try giving a cat a die to play with!  They think dice are cat toys!

Re: OOC

Mine only last a few minutes with them. They end up under the stove, fridge, couch, recliner (where they try to retrieve them when I open the footrest, and my daughters scream when I try to put it down with a cat there), and other inaccessable places. I tend not to use them around my cats (which generally means batting the cat off the table / chair / whatever).

Ummm... this particular rodent was not a component of my system, although he had some good ideas about multiplicative algorithms.

Re: OOC

Good stuff, guys!  =)

We used to have trouble with kamikaze squirrels getting into transformers.  They'd knock the servers offline for five or ten minutes.

Re: OOC

Had a squirrel in a robot once. Ate the cables and got fried, kind of like D'aden's mouse. Stopped us from building cars or a whole day, and that's only because me & the other guy happened to turn into experts at internal cable changing. I've seen it take 2 shifts of 3 guys each, with a little more left over (50 man-hours-ish), to change them things, they're a bear and a half.

Me and my partner, we got it done in about 3 hours just the 2 of us (6-7 man-hours). We never did tell them how quickly we did it... We just told them at the end of the shift, it was done. ;)

Re: OOC

Dragondog - I'm assuming that from his current position if Tarhall casts a direct damaging spell like "Stone Missile" at #4 there is a danger of hitting Olven as he is in between Tarhall and #4.  Is that correct?

Thanks.
