Re: OOC

Whose?
Besides, my thumbs don't. Anyone that has claimed to have seen my thumbs twiddle is speaking pure twaddle.

Re: OOC

I'm considering starting another GURPS game, it shouldn't affect this game at all, but in case any of you would be interested in a modern-day thriller, please check link to a message in another game.

Sorry; I trust you don't think I was complaining was just clarifying. Besides not everyone can recover their total fatigue in less than 15 minutes like our resident Cell door breaker. ;->

Re: OOC

I took it as clarification not complaining, so no worries. And that's what my comment was too.

Re: OOC

There's still one draconian standing in the doorway, you could attack him this turn. Or you could move into the room where the other 10 draconians are, unarmed and getting out of bed. They can be as far away as 30 feet.

Re: OOC

I think I'm slowly getting the hang of GURPs combat. Does that mean my character is about to die?

I'm sorry about my lengthy absence.  It's one of the busy times of the year at work for me, but I'm also finding it hard to motivate myself to check in regularly.  I'll do a better job from now on.

Re: OOC

It's good to have you back.

I'm working with a few new players and hope to have them in the game fairly soon.

We're getting to the final area of this adventure! It has its complexities and it will be interesting to see how the group solves them.

After that there will be some downtime for the characters and another place of interest the king wants them to visit. The home of one of his barons. Perhaps participate in a tournament. Perhaps pick up a title of your own. Perhaps discover a dastardly secret.

And if there are any particular kind of places you want them to visit, as well as other details or feedback, in their mission to help with the rebuilding of the city, please let me know.

My arms are treated as weapons, so he can't chop off my hand with a parry.

Re: OOC

The rules for "Parrying Unarmed Attacks" (p. B376) don't apply to Strikers, and my arms are Strikers. Martial Arts, p. 47, has that particular limitation spelled out in detail, and the correlation is confirmed in Pyramid 3/61, "Way of the Warrior," p. 13.

quote:
You aren’t subject to the free attacks on your limbs specified under Parrying Unarmed Attacks (p. B376), and enemies cannot elect to shift an attack to your limb if you fail at Parrying Unarmed (p. B376).

Is that quote from Way of the Warrior? I don't have that. I'll see what I can find.

Re: OOC

Yes, it's from Way of the Warrior, but it's not even anything new. That's just how Striker's work. That's the whole point of having Striker with the Limb limitation.
