Re: OOC

Oh, man!  Fun?  Did I ever!  Hours upon hours of it!  3 alternate innate attacks cost only 32 CP!  What a bargain!

Re: OOC

Well, I'm still here, lad.  What are we doing with Nana's BBQ in the Main thread?

I think it would be interesting to go forward with her BBQ. I'm looking at it now.

Re: OOC

Perhaps Nana was an assassin hired by a foreign power to attempt to assassinate the King and Queen.  =)

Re: OOC

So is there now a raging inferno in the library?  Were our clothes incinerated?

Re: OOC

All clothing is burning, so is the carpet, and the chairs the royal couple are sitting on. No books were close enough to have caught fire, yet. The knights are wearing armor and only the clothing on top of the armor is burning.

I'll ask around to see how much clothing is left after this kind of damage.

Your clothes are burning, they have not incinerated.

Re: OOC

I see that Olven uses bold text for speech, while Handar seems not to use an special marking of text.

I have a habit of using coloured text for speech, like: "Hi! I'm Tarhall, pleased to make your acquaintance!", Tarhall exclaims.

Is that form allowed?

Re: OOC

I don't use any special marking for speech, I know others do, and bold or color are both fine. As long as the color doesn't make it illegible. That color seems to work fine though.

As I haven't heard anything from Ourana in over a month, it seems less than likely.

Re: OOC

Odd - seems that the player owning the character has logged on this day - but she is perhaps really NPC'd. Well, just the three of us for now then :-)

Re: OOC

I saw that too, but no, she is not NPC'd. And so unless I get word from the player, she will not be joining the rest of the heroes.

Re: OOC

I've started not using Bold for speech, too.  I might slip up and use it sometime, though.

If there's anything either of you wants to add IC, before you leave the king, now is the time.

Re: OOC

I'm looking at the comparative chart, and it generally looks cool :-)

In the face of magic, some of the ratings are a bit off IMO, though - but that may be intentional.

Eg. setting Tarhall to 0 on both Destruction and Ranged Combat seems wrong. Not that he warrants 5's exactly ;-), but 0? He has several missile spells, and passable skill at landing them. And at least one of them has some Destruction potential for sure. But there may be a point to separating the Divine/Arcane from the Mundane?

Re: OOC

I think I put it in there somewhere, the ratings are for what can be done without expending resources such as FP.

I have already been contemplating how to introduce categories beyond the mundane, as the campaign I borrowed this from didn’t have any need of such categories. But I wanted to post what I had anyway. The thoughts I have had so far regarding magic is to either give a double rating in categories where heroes can do things beyond the mundane or add new categories for each of the colleges of magic (this would add 24 new categories).

I have looked at Chi too, but have not yet any suggestions other than the double rating one mentioned above, to how to portray such traits. Though as I recall fewer traits actually require FP to use.

If any of you have any suggestions on how to do this, please let me know.
