Oh, right, one year old.  I always fail at reading comprehension.  =)

Re: OOC

By the way, I deleted the post regarding werewolves; apparently they don't appear as frequently in the myths of this setting as I had assumed.  Please disregard that post.

Re: OOC

And I mentioned them in my post, too.  Good thing this isn't Planescape.  If enough of us believed in them, they'd materialize right in front of us.  =)

I still think the beast was a werewolf, though.  Why didn't it kill the child?  The first thing I thought when I saw the child was that it was the beast.  =)

Re: OOC

All of you have mentioned werewolves. In retrospect it would have been easier, and better, just to add legends of them to the game world. It wouldn't have been the first change I've made to the setting.

Does anyone have a time machine handy?

Re: OOC

As Owain asked about where people live, everyone who hasn't arranged other housing live in Garden Ward, which is about 5 miles from where you are now.

Re: OOC

The plan at this point:
* Owain,  Kar, and Olven are going to the temple to talk to someone now
* Tarhall is speaking with his colleagues in the morning
* Handar will get horses and other stuff for the group in the morning

Am I missing anything? I don't mind if you decide what you want OOC so that Handar can have a list of things the group needs/wants.

Re: OOC

I don't know that much Latin, but I figured that the two words were appropriate considering where this thread is going. And Solamnic was created as a Latin like language in the first place, though I didn't remember that until I started working on this reply.

If I had known more, I might have been able to say exactly what I wanted to say. But as I don't, I decided to keep it simple.

Re: OOC

Or more precisely the truth about this "wolf". Or wolf like creature to be exact, but that would strain my nonexistent Latin skill even more.

Re: OOC

Hi guys.

Well, I am coming to the conclusion that I am up against it at this point in time. As the right now sole GM of an arena game around here, which has grown quite explosively over the past months, I'm finding that it is sucking up all my somewhat limited RPOL juice these days. I'm hoping to activate co-GM(s) in the near future, but right now I'm going to ask to be NPC'd (or even taken out of the game if the GM prefers). I like this game and would like to carry on at some point, but right now my activity level is so low that the other solution seems better to me for now.

Sorry, guys, and game on!

I'm sorry to hear that Tarhall. I'll put you on NPC for now and hope to see you again soon.

Re: OOC

In each of my posts in the Lupus Veritas thread, as well as the last two posts in Summoned to the King, before I changed the date to 14 Reapember 353 AC in post 51, I left clues, if we can call them that, to something relating to the content of the thread, but otherwise outside the purview of the game. These clues influenced my choice of language and thus some of the content of said posts.

Did this break the suspension of disbelief (perhaps because my choice of language was strange)? Did it add to the suspension of disbelief? Or were those posts about the same compared to posts before and since?

Re: OOC

The comment about Owain's size made me check out Olven's height.  Goodness, he's short.  He ought to be much taller.  Whoops!  I guess he's the short, muscular type.  =)

Re: OOC

And that works too.

Though Owain is taller than everyone else in the group, when I compared him to Sarah, I was referring to their weight. She is a young, short, healthy, size zero woman.

Re: OOC

Mounts sounds good.  Any place Olven can rent a mount?

A wagon would be okay, but I'm not sure it's necessary unless we'll be hauling away more than can fit in our mounts' saddlebags.

How is everyone on food and water?  Olven has enough food for two days on the road, and he can get more if he needs to.

Re: OOC

Any horses available to rent are probably already taken. Buying is likely the only choice here. Even if you have to loan money to do it.

You don’t know how much stuff you’ll be hauling back, though it might be less expensive to buy a wagon and horses to pull it, instead of buying horses to all of you. But it will also be slower.

And I agree that the merchandizing can be done OOC.

Re: OOC

How much do mounts cost?  Who has a horse already?  How much would a horse and wagon cost?  I vote for whatever's cheapest.
