Re: OOC

Looking at the price of horses, they were a lot more expensive than I remembere., But I have a plan to fix that.

Regarding food and water, Kar has what he needs, but Tarhall needs to get some.

Is there anything else the group needs?

Re: OOC

Yeah, horses in GURPS are pricey.  And plans are good.  =)

Any other tools we might need?  Digging tools, maybe?  Crowbar, shovel?

Post what you want to buy or send me a PM. Otherwise I'll assume you're not getting anything.

OK, I'm good for gear, but let's try to acquire a wagon and horse.

Re: OOC

Sorry for the slow posts lately. I have a new job and a new GF that both began at roughly the same time. Getting settled back in after a couple of weeks of fast paced chaos.

Real life is always more important than the game. Good luck with both your gf and your job.

Re: OOC

Keep a sharp eye out, though, once a gf convinces you that you should be bffs she'll move right on to mrs and then, no matter how nice she is, you're in way over your head.
After all, she's a woman so you're outclassed based on gender alone (trust me on this, I've been outclassed for almost two decades).

Re: OOC

Im ready to move to the road. Id like to skip past more preparations at the least. Can we assume we gathered some simple pieces of gear for camp making and common exploration essentials like crowbars, shovels, rope ect...?

Re: OOC

* What do you want for camp making?
* How many crowbars, shovels, and ropes? How long should the ropes be?
* What kind of light sources and how many? How much food?
* Anything else?

Re: OOC

Enough food for all of us for three days, I guess.  We have six in the party right now, right?

As for light, torches, I suppose.  Olven has three, but we'll need more than that.  Maybe we should go with lanterns instead.

Re: OOC

I've a lantern. We should take extra skins for water (which we can find). As far as food goes, we could probably find that, as well. It would slow progress, but is an option.

Re: OOC

True, but Olven's Survival skill isn't much to brag about.  But as long as we have food, water, and light sources, we should be good.

Re: OOC

Unless I've missed something.

You need the following in food and water for the six people in the party.
Food: 39 meals
Water 5 wineskins, or 2 wineskins if 1 wineskin/person is enough

What about food and water for the horses?

You have the following light sources: 3 torches, 1 lantern

We still need to know how many crowbars, shovels, and ropes you want. As well as camp making gear.

Building a list. I have a few things in mind but need to browse my books for details and costs. Day off tomorrow so I plan to have it ready soon.

We'll need to bring feed and water for the horses, too.  If the others don't have torches or lanterns, let's get some to spread out among them.

Re: OOC

I don't want to burden them down with unnecessary weight.  We can let them graze, too, when we stop for the night, but we'll need feed for three days, I think.

I'd like everyone to have the equivalent of three torches or a lantern and a pint of oil.  Candles work, too.

Re: OOC

Good.  I'd still like everyone to have either three torches or a lantern, though.  I've been separated from the mage with continual light before, and it's no fun being trapped underground with a couple of torches and one waterskin for five people.  =)

Re: OOC

I've bought the following: Group Basics; 48 meals; 7 wineskins; 1 lantern; 1 pint of oil; 9 torches; 2 personal basics; 2 blanket; 20 sheets of paper; Scribe’s Kit; 30 days worth of horse feed; 1 crowbar; 1 shovel

If Owain rides with his metal armor in the wagon, the group will be able to do about 3.5 miles per hour and you have about 400 lbs of space left in the wagon to still make that speed.

For the sake of simplicity, I've so far charged all costs to Tarhall.

Unless I hear something about the barrels or anything else Owain might want to bring, or if you want to add something. Then this is it.
