Re: OOC

Greetings! The return of Owain is nigh!

Or, perhaps I should specify, the re-casting has been accomplished. While I am not the original player, he has done a nice job making this character. Several nice ideas, and everything I would require of my own build all are here. I might play him a bit differently, but hopefully with more or less of the same goals. I have read most of them, I just need a few minor catch-ups for some of the lesser background elements. (Was that woman his sister...?) :P

Re: OOC

Thanks! The GM here has certainly done a fantastic job of setting things up. He has spent not inconsiderable time babysitting me to get me this far (and quickly, too).

I have a couple that I would hope the other players could answer for me. Not too big of a deal, and I don't want to bother the GM too much, since I have a lot already.

1) Werewolves and vampires. I can't quite find where any resolution or knowledge was finalized about these. I did find something where Owain promised not to 'pursue the matter further', but I'm not sure what that was, but suspect it had to do with one of these.

2) What time of year is it? Is there actually grass about for the horse to browse on? I'm kind of presuming we're in the middle of nowhere and the horse is going to be all right, unless we stir up some evil somewhere.

3) Do I know about looking for Christopher's kids? He would likely think that a more immediate mission than the dungeon crawl.

Re: OOC

3. Owain was there when everything was decided. At the time I controlled him as a NPC and though saving children is important, I went with him accepting the decision of the PCs. And at this time we don't know where the teenagers are.

2. It is fall. This is a road between to fields and you have brought food for both people and horses with you from Kalaman.

1. The werewolf is still out there. Information was gathered in various places, including the temple.

Re: OOC

We haven't done much strategizing.  Jarlianthas, what kind of role will you take in combat?  Owain makes a good tank, and Olven and Kar are both good fighters, too, and Olven can handle ranged weapons if needed.  D'aden, what about you?

Re: OOC

I do have a crossbow, and am useful with it, but expert with the sword. Tank is a good enough role for me. :)

Re: OOC

D'aden is a generalist, he's best with his bow, but not by much. He has a passable ability with his staff, and can use most one-handed swords without looking too clumsy. He's also somewhat more resilient than he looks, and moves with a fair amount of grace.
Now that I think about it, D'aden is actually not as good with his staff or sword as he is with his fishing pole. If we ever do battle with a bunch of crazed carp, I'm your man.

Re: OOC

Hi there everyone.

I'm a new player taking over the existing character of Tarhall, your friendly White Robe Wizard.

I'm rapidly catching up on everything about this character with the friendly assistance of our GM and I look forward to gaming with you all.

Excellent, Tarhall!  Good to have you!

Then if Jarl and D'aden are going to be plucking away with their bows, Olven doesn't need his crossbow.

Re: OOC

Excellent. Carp will tremble in our wake.

And Welcome, tar. I have just taken over this character as well, so you are not alone in the used character sheet sector of the population. ;) I hope your character's creator made as good of a character as this one. There's one trait I might want, and one piece of equipment I bought, everything else was spot on or even better than I'd build it.

I said ranged persuasion... a bow is not likely, as I am missing my left hand.

The previous player made a very good job but I'm tinkering slightly - that's more a comment on me than him however!

For a start a mage of this power level has a lot of spells so I'm tweaking them to my preference.

A couple of new guy questions.

1. Am I correct that we entered the Lyceum through the double doors in the bottom right hand corner of the latest map?

2. Just how dangerous are 4 Baaz Draconians?  Is that a serious threat to us or something that we should walk through without breaking sweat?  Essentially I'm not sure how concerned Tarhall should be so I've posted a "breaking contact with them" option.

Thanks for any help people can give me.

Re: OOC

1. You entered through the double doors.

2. Comparing racial templates, baaz are better suited for combat than humans. But you're better suited for combat than the standard human too.

Jarl: "This player has not yet created a description for their character. "

That might help us newbies notice things like that, Jarl. Speaking of which, I better make sure I have one- never checked, this being a 'hand-me-down' character. ;)
