Re: The Lyceum (main)

As Jarl spoke, a section of the wall behind the lectern opened and revealed a corridor.

[Link to maps: http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2011-2/1364172/2151688 The current map is Lyceum3, though the location of the various characters have not been updated. The characters are still depicted as they were when the last of the draconians was dealt with

Lyceum1 shows the most detail in regards to the characters. The software I use, didn't include any useful images of characters, so I'm using round tokens instead. With the same letters and numbers identifying the various characters in the same way I used in the thread during the combat. The smaller circle on each token indicates which direction the character is facing.

To make the map as clear as possible, I'm not using any "special effects" in the map.]

"Excellent work," he says, looking down the hall to make sure it's clear. "Are we rested up yet?"

"Huh... look at that."  Jarl is curious about the newly acquired hallway, but learned his lesson about being in the front.

"Hey, very nice," Olven says, grinning.  "Looks like you said the magic word."

"Might I suggest Sir Owain take the lead?  Sarah will be invaluable for checking for traps.  Jarl and Tarhall, you two should stay in the middle, protected by the rest of us.  Kar, maybe you should stay near them to protect them.  I'll take the rear guard, just in case anyone tries to attack us from behind." Olven has his axe in one hand and his shield in the other.  "D'aden, you want to come after Tarhall and Jarlianthas?"

Re: The Lyceum (main)

D'aden is picking through the dragon dust to reclaim any useful arrows he left behind. "I can be where ever you need me. I'm not used to such close quarters, so I think I should forego my bow until it's specifically needed. Are we going to sneak up on the darkness or march boldly down the corridor?"

"I prefer to march boldly. I don't do sneak very well. I would guess, more valuable stuff is in the secret places, so let's go find some treasure!"

(OOC: Who has a light? BTW, I'm Owain. You're Olven. :P )

If we're ready, and have a light, he will lead the way, sword out and shield ready.

Re: The Lyceum (main)

The heroes continued down the newly revealed corridor. It was arched and more than three times the height of a man. The walls and floor made out of the same kind of stones they had seen elsewhere in the Lyceum.

"Don't worry, no harm will come to them if I can do anything about it." Kar responded as he took his place.

He was alert to dangers ahead but also, given the height of the corridor, to the possibility of threats from above.

"Just don't go acting like a giddy schoolboy, and you'll be just fine, sir" Olven says.  He looks around him as they walk down the corridor, expecting an ambush at every point.  "I wish we had better intel about just what to expect here.  Those draconians look like they're using this place as a base."

"I like to make sure there's nothing to come back at us. I hate it when there's a bunch of choices, but there's likely going  to be something in rooms, and not so much in corridors, so let's check that out first." He heads to the room, hopefully the guy with the light still following him.

A section of the wall opened into a room the size and shape of the room they left only moments ago, but only the remains of the furniture was left in this one.

D'aden looks toward the room, and remarks, "If all of that furniture is broken, it was probably done deliberately. Anything natural wouldn't be that thorough."

Owain advances on the other side, 'fanning out' as it were, once in the doorway. He checks for general threats, though, expecting someone to be hiding in corners and such. Then he checks the open doorways for the same thing, before he looks at the room contents.
