Re: The Lyceum III (main)

D'aden dodges back from the draconian's blade, then repositions the point of the arrow towards the attacking draconian's face. He releases the arrow aimed at the attacking drac, but the shot goes wide. D'aden keeps his eyes on the dracs as he prepares to avoid their attacks while he switches weapons.

OOC: To dodge, rolled six against eleven (made by five). As he has lost his aim, he just shoots his arrow at the drac's eye, and misses rolling a fifteen against a seven or less

Re: The Lyceum III (main)

Des brought the draconian down. And two more draconians came forward to attack them. One was brought down by another of Olven's double thrusts with his spear and D'aden's arrow missed the other.

The draconian turned on Olven, but he intercepted the sword swing on his shield.

Baring his teeth in a wordless snarl, Olven Wolf moves into the fray, jabbing forward with his spear at the nearest drac.  His shield is at the ready, and he holds it protectively to block his foes' attacks.

OOC:  Two attacks vs. the nearest drac.

Des brought down another draconian, D'aden swapped weapons, and as another two draconians approached, Olven's double thrust brought one of them down. The remaining draconian swung his sword against Des, but he expertly avoided the blade.

Re: The Lyceum III (main)

D'aden swung at the draconian, but it dodged. Des tried to grab it to throw it, but it parried his hand with its sword. Olven stabbed his spear at the draconian, but it evaded both of them.

While moving around the heroes, so that the final two draconians could get to them, he swung his sword at Des again, but he parried it with ease. The other two swung their swords, but where unable to connect.

Re: The Lyceum III (main)

D'aden taunts the draconians, "You poor souls haven't a chance. I'll knock you down without breaking a sweat."
Once again, he swings his staff at the heads of both draconians, shouting "AHA!"
Immediately afterwards, he blushes, apparently understanding how silly he looked as he missed both draconians.

OOC: failed to suppress his overconfidence, went for all out attack, whirlwind, -5 to hit (14-5=9), rolled 10,9,10,5 using 3d6,2d6+2,3d6,2d6+2, so he missed them

Despite D'aden missing his mark, Des and Olven brought one each of them to the ground. None remaining on their feet. But then none of them had turned to stone either. So all of them were still alive.

Des approached whichever seemed the least unconscious and grabbed his lower jaw, pulling the creatures face to look at the monk.

"Where are the keys for the boy's chains," he said with a nigh emotionless glare. "And where is his sister."

My interrogation skills are lacking. Anyone want to jump on this? (Do they even speak common?)

Re: The Lyceum III (main)

D'aden began to search the room they were in, his intent twofold. He had to pick up as many of his arrows as he could, and he needed to find something with which the could bind the draconians. "I doubt they'll be willing to  offer anything while they've still a chance at escaping defeat. If we bind them, they'll be more cooperative."

Olven searched the draconians' clothes and did indeed find a key. He quickly returned to the two cells, but wasn't gone long. "The key works. We can chain them all up."

"Then we should do so. While we're getting them chained up and awaiting their awakening, I'll see if I can't find a trace as to where the girl was taken."
D'aden continues to search around the room, slowly extending the periphery of his search in an attempt to find tracks before he obliterates them, himself.

OOC: managed to suppress his overconfidence, and his tendency to be on the edge, made perception by one, made tracking roll by four
