In the draconians "bedroom" there is only one door, leading to the right from where D'aden entered. All he can find in the room are the draconians' personal belongings.

As the heroes chained up the unconscious draconians, Grettanah returned. And she wasn't alone.

In reply to Dragondog (msg # 374):

Returning to the last place they'd seen the others to find two of the doors she was waiting with Barrack near open. Scanning the interior of the first before moving to the second where the others were in the process of chaining a number of Draconians. Giving Angaharad a nod, as she stood beside the entry to the room. Guys looks like you've been having some fun, and you didn't want to wait for Barrack and Me how thoughtful of you. she prods the others, then points to each in turn. These are D'aden Tor VIII, Desidras Rak-Mahl and Olven Wolf. Grettanah informs the Lady who is accompanying her, adding Guys this is Sister Angharada of the order of Chislev.

Angharad nods at her introduction and replies, "Well met. When you get moment to step outside, I'd like to introduce you to my wolf friend, Coli."

A large gray wolf head peeks over her shoulder at the sound of her name. While you can't see anything other than the head, it's location suggests her wolf friend is the size of a small horse. She looks at you with a silent and still gaze.

Coli, at her size, was much more than a wolf. Clearly a Direwolf. But despite that, when the newcomers joined the other heroes, Coli flattened herself to the floor and made submissive noises.

Re: The Lyceum III (main)

D'aden has gathered his various weapons, strewn around as they were, and is now rummaging in the small pack he brought. As he pulls out his mandolin, he smiles at the actions of the large wolf and says, "What do you know, even amongst the beasts my reputation precedes me."
Plunking on the mandolin, he bows to Angharad, nods to Grettanah, and hums a bit. Apparently realizing his actions were, unusual, he explains "when the dracs wake, we'll need to ask them some questions. We could set fire to their toes, pull their claws with pliers, or begin carving off body parts we feel they could do without, but they're used to that kind of torture."
"I guarantee you, after the second or third dozen verses of '100 dragon eggs rolled down the hall' they'll talk just to shut me up."

In reply to D'aden Tor VIII (msg # 378):

Surprised that the warriors had not killed the draconians; Grettanah glanced about the room then looked at D'aden, returning his not. Do you really think questioning, these creatures will gain any answers which can be of assistance. If you feel they will by all means go right ahead, after all it'll be interesting to hear a draconian conversation.

Angharad's face expresses her dubious expectations of the young man's plan. She does not disabuse him of that notion, but replies, "If you need my help, please ask."

She walks over to a nearby tree to drop her pack. Then she promptly starts throwing sticks for her large animal to chase.

Re: The Lyceum III (main)

Roisin had been watching from the entrance to the area, Ochre coiled around her neck as he watched lazily with one eye opened. "Ummm....just a suggestion, but if you like I could talk to them? I mean low draconic is one of the languages I know and well, they might respond to some kindness and a friendly voice." she looked as if she were about to say more, before lapsing into only momentary silence. "And...well, you know, I'm not sure that draconians might consider D'aden's musical prowess to be ummm...cruel and unusual punishment." she stated though in the form of a question.

"I have something in my bag that should wake them up fairly quickly." she said reaching into the satchel at her waist. "Assuming you all agree...of course."

Re: The Lyceum III (main)

With an exaggerated pout, D'aden admits, "actually, I think your method would be much more efficacious in obtaining the answers we seek. We're really just trying to get a line on a young girl that was taken by a group of draconians. Which probably means time is of the essence, and I'm talking too much, again."
Then he smiles, and says, "but my way would have been a bit more fun."
Rather than torment the dracs, D'aden pleases himself by sitting on one of the drac bunks, playing and singing,
"Easeful the forest, easeful its mansions perfected
Where we grow and decay no longer, our trees ever green,
Ripe fruit never falling, streams still and transparent
As glass, as the heart in repose this lasting day.

Beneath these branches the willing surrender of movement,
The business of birdsong, of love, left on the borders
With all of the fevers, the failures of memory.
Easeful the forest, easeful its mansions perfected."

OOC: nope, the dracs wouldn't mind at all, D'aden Tor VIII rolled 6,7 using 3d6,3d6.  mandolin -12, singing -14.

Re: The Lyceum III (main)

Roisin raised an eyebrow questioning Grettanah's statement "We can always find a small room and lock them in. There's not much they'd be able to do any more, in any case. I'm not proposing to heal them, just to keep them around in case they have any more useful information."

She moved towards the bound draconians, taking out a small corked bottle from her satchel "Well, this works on humans in any case." she opened the stopper, but waited until D'aden finished his song before opening it under the nose of one of the draconians "Beautiful words, D'aden. Where did you learn that song?"

When the first draconian was consious Grettanah started questioning it about the boy who was chained to the ceiling. ooc revised for continuity purposes. Her questions are aimed at confirmation these draconians know who she is takking about. If they do she'll ask about the girl he was brought in with.

In reply to Roisin uth Bannatar (msg # 384):

D'aden shrugs to indicate he doesn't remember where he learned his song. Perhaps he has such a large repertoire that he couldn't possibly remember all the sources.
"Well, if these dracs won't cooperate, and apparently have no ear for music, in any case. Then we should strip them of any valuables and herd them outside. We are supposed to gather resources for the city, and I suspect these guys could be a valuable resource. They can carry stone and wield hammer and tong instead of spear and shield."

Angharad stops when she hears they are looking for a young girl. Coli promptly bowls her over as Angharad was holding the stick at the time. She extricates herself from the huge wolf and walks over to where the draconians are chained."Which chains did you say the girl was in?"

Re: The Lyceum III (main)

D'aden smiles and nods, "oh, of course. Your wolf could scent the girl and track her. She wasn't in the chains, her brother was. He told us she was taken away by a group of dracs."
A heartbeat later, he starts on another song,
"Bravely bold draconians were woke upon their cots
They were not afraid to die, O brave draconians
They were not at all afraid to be killed in nasty ways,
Brave, brave, brave, brave draconians
They were not in the least bit scared to be mashed into a pulp,
Or to have their eyes gouged out, and their elbows broken;
To have their kneecaps split, and their body turned to rock;
And their limbs all broke and shattered, brave draconians!
Their heads smashed in and their hearts cut out
Their liver removed and their nostrils plugged"

Roisin looked at Ochre who was pretending to be asleep draped over her shoulder, with one eye open lazily scanning the surroundings. "Now if only you could do something useful like that."

The pseudodragon lifted his head up looked directly into Roisin's eyes and snorted derisively before resting his head back onto its perch.

"You know...that song might be best served by waiting until they're at least conscious. They can't think about what you're signing until they've regained their wits." Roisin moved over to the draconians spilling some water from her waterskin on them to see if it would help them to wake up.

Angharad frowns at D'aden's statement, but lack of real understanding. Turning to a more reliable source, she gestures and incants a brief spell allowing her to speak to Coli.

She speaks across the clearing in growls and yips. "Coli, can you help me find a scent? Your nose is more sensitive than mine."
