Well I tried for a combination of Shaming the Mob and The Reason You Suck Speech since that set us up so perfectly for 1 Peter 4.

Re: Troping

I was going to comment by the way on how Wildcat "instructing" Alouette on the use of whuppin' sticks was bizzarrely adorable, but now I should say the Ranger deserves some wings. Or a chippit for Appropriate Use of Bible-Fu, or something.

Also for neatly avoiding hunger/thirst Fatigue, though she should probably drink something that isn't alcohol at some point or she'll survive all this and get Smote verily in the noggin...

Re: Troping

I'd like to have Wildcat make a Persuasion or Intimidate roll with some kind of bonus, just to see the effect it has on some of the NPCs. The trouble is, Wildcat is horrible in both those skills (less so in Intimidate, due to a certain bonus). It's one of the things I'm going to be covering in my next Experience post.

Re: Troping

Self has skills! Not that they help much...but a big enough bonus would cancel out defaulting, though Wildcat walking out of the saloon to determine the problem of and rabble-rouse the confusedly milling defenders just then would make a good chapter-change (and a setup for using Folk Hero at last, we can only hope).

I agree, it would be a good chapter end, though I'd like a bit more closure so I know who is doing what where.

I can see how that would be unpleasant, and certainly not fragrant.

I'm not sure cast iron underwear would even help with that problem.

Well, I wouldn't have had to soak that shit! :-)

Well to go and clear his name of course!

[offers lampblack] If CB is going to wade into the Comanche in a storm of furious Charging Bearlike badassery until he catches one who knows where Not-Charging Bear is, he should do it in paint. It makes you look bigger and fiercer (and possibly go faster) - this is why the Roman army ran away from my distant ancestors.

08:41, Today: William Pierce rolled 12,34,17 using d35,d35,d35, rerolling max with rolls of 12,34,17. Chips.
Sooo... two more Whites, one Blue

Also, I'm taking taunt at d4 (no idea what else to take) and I raise my fighting and riding. I'll definitely need the former, and I hope I'll need the latter as well.

Raises and Howdy!

William's player here, I'm entering the fray with a second character: Patrick "Mad Irish" Murphy! Let's see if he can break William's record of dying within the least amount of gametime! :-)

09:00, Today: Mad Irish Murphy rolled 13,18,26 using d35,d35,d35, rerolling max with rolls of 13,18,26. Chips.

2 whites, one red.
Also adding Dodge and throwing to his many, many abilities.

Edit: 09:32, Today: Mad Irish Murphy rolled 29 using 1d35, rerolling max with rolls of 29. One more chip. Murphy's lucky!
Another red one.

Given that you'll probably be needing them to get Carl out of his predicament alive, you might just want to hold on to them...I'm awarding a lot of chips this session for a reason.

Question about the Legend chip...

Would that be any roll of me, or really ANY roll? Ie, could I have used the Legend Chip to force Alistair to re-roll his damage roll?

Roll for Chips:

06:04, Today: Adrian Vega rolled 25,5,22 using d35,d35,d35, rerolling max with rolls of 25,5,22. Can't have just one.

Advance: Supernatural Trait: Vigor
Free Skill to Persuasion

Total Chips: 4R,2W

Question: If we used an Adventure Card last session, can we redraw a new one to replace it?

Re: Raises and Howdy!

Charging Bear is picking up Nerves of Steel and a d4 in Intimidation

Jake is going skill crazy with a bump to his Spellcasting and Notice. The bonus skill will indeed be Healing ... so he can have ALOT of d4 skills

Chips: Keeping my 1 legend and tossing the rest
08:58, Today: Charging Bear rolled 2,16,27,31 using d35,d35,d35,d35, rerolling max with rolls of 2,16,27,31. Fate Chips.

So my new total is 3 White, 2 Red, 3 Blue, 1 Legend

Rules questions ahoy!

@ William

I'll post the question to the official rules forum and get back to you. Until I get an answer, though, I'm going to rule that Fate Chips can on;y affect your own rolls.

@ Adrian

Yes, you can discard and redraw new Adventure Cards. I forgot to include that little tidbit in the notes...I'll add it now.

Remember my previous ruling on cards! I no longer care if you have cards another player has, I just care that you don't have duplicates of a single card.

Jake! You gave Danny sharps! Have we not learnt about giving Danny sharps?

On the theme of stabbing random innocent bystanders, I've worked out what Itza-Chu's great plan is: he's going to set up his little display to look nice in the sunrise and write 'HAPPY EASTER' in big letters made of bits of disembowelled children on the hillside beneath because he wants to send CB something hand-made.

Also I may be permanently traumatised. Anyway, I wonder if Arthur's angry because Carl broke his nose or because he survived to send Ward messages (by setting the tyler on fire)...

Re: Raises and Howdy!

@ William:

I got a reply from the official boards about your question on legend chips!

quote:
Any roll is any roll. But it is just a reroll. So he could spend the Legend Chip to force a reroll of an attack on him, but the reroll isn't guaranteed to miss, in fact it could roll another hit with a raise.

Looks like you can, in fact, dutch my rolls.
