I thought you was Tan. Tis the Mambo Mama! We could easily take it all over.. Been so long since I played Savage worlds, I even tried finding an RL game to keep up.  Should have told Stray I needed more time to learn. >.<

Re: Cautionary tales

Yep yep. I noticed the post style. We should! Only Deadwood's going to burn down without us, so there's no point in capturing Custer to immobilise segments of the US forces...raising a People's Army from the majority underclass for a blitzkrieg attack on D.C. is probably still viable, though, 'cause the US isn't going to take a blind bit of notice of a declaration of war from a country as small as the Nations until it's entirely too late...hmm.

Ach, the rust will come off soon enough. Besides, the GM always has an interest in keeping things running smoothly and Stray is pretty good at explaining, so just wail at him 'til it makes sense, that usually works.

Re: Cautionary tales

Vega - Thunder Walker? Avery's words to describe looking at him. 'Oops, my clothes fell off.'

Spotwood - You play an adorable dame. Though she reminds me of Katy a little, only with some magic talent :P

Alou -cuddles the chibi metalica chicken, it whirls into a clucking sound under her arm and occasionally chirps about the end is nigh in a silvery portal sentry voice. Ultra cute!- I'm different. I love youse forever, chickita.

Pierce, I do not know you well, but you can play a good crazy guy and a sweet-hearted gentlemen like the Major.

@ Bear -  You make loveable rugged characters. I still remember the scene of CB playing with the kitten after a whole year..

Now aside that...
Though i'm not sure if I missed too much to bring Gangatsu back... I inda forgot a majority of the story. She would have to kinda jump in blind of al of it...

James is nice'ish(yay Loyal) but don't get on his bad side (hello MAJOR vengeful!)

CB is a very much a hero type, he's just caught on the wrong side of the whole being Indian in a town of mostly redneck bigot things. The getting Dandelion (the kitten) off the roof was a fantastic scene.

Jake just has issues ... no he's really got subscriptions

Re: Cautionary tales

Kee...the combination "Alouette", "chibi" and "chicken" just cried out to be drawn.

'Gatsu'll be fiiine...she'll have been at the ranch all this time tending Master Zhang and preparing against Comanche attack anyway, so it makes sense that she'd not know anything about shennanigans in town. She might even be ignorant of a lot of ranch stuff if she's been avoiding the fancy pants witches downstairs.

Maybe rereading this thread (one of the shorter ones!) link to a message in this game will help? That has everything the Dust Adders know and 'Gatsu figured out about the general situation in one place.

Well, alrighty. I'll try and read up on it. got a few fast pace games I'm in and making one.

CB - I'm surprised he hasn't been hung yet. I was thinking of just throwing Katy in somewhere as a surprise to Stray. ^_^ LoL, let's Play "where's Katy Devons."
Heck knows she couldn't be in town with stories circling about her.

Wel, tis am surprised you didn't puck something that would out top Spotwood and his weird science. Erll, I guesa if she's fun to play, then that's all that matters. Heh. Gotta love a bloke that got to talk to a bull about heifers.

Re: Cautionary tales

@ Augustus - Katy Devon was/is a ditzy kid who randomly picked Blackthorn as her real live wild west town to have Adventures in...she has Janet's drive and tendancy to gamble/act before thinking, though she doesn't try to piss off gangsters and other tough guys for her own ends, she just does it by being Katy.

For instance, taking a potshot at the local thugs as they retreated from a bout of harassing the town, which killed the victim and set his 12-year-old son on the warpath against the Ranger to whom confused accounts attributed the death. She got her head shaved and her bottom paddled instead of being brutally beaten to death by the Dust Adders because she's young, female and fast-talking, so she "borrowed" some of Jake's clothes and is cheerfully being androgenous by 19th-century standards somewhere.

@ Gatsu - it's like Where's Wally, with more Comanches! Whatcha making a game about?

For some reason (possibly related to conversations elsewhere) when I read this:

Dr. Ward:
"Ready yourselves!" Ward says. "We have company!"

I can't help but imagine he wants everyone to straighten up their clothes, possibly put on bonnets and certainly prepare a kettle and some french fancies...

Re: Cautionary tales

You know, for some reason I still think of myself as "the new guy" in this game, but I just realized that it's coming up on two years this month. And this is the longest running Deadlands game on RPOL! Great stuff.
