In reply to Adrian Vega (msg # 764):

Yeah CB started back in 2009 and Jake in '10.

Its pretty amazing how long this game has been going despite stopping and starting ... just goes to show that this is a solid group which can deal with games slowing down and even pausing for a while.

Pierce and Murphy are still here as well.

Murphs sounds creepy to me now in that purple colour...does anyone else 'hear' font colours as different tones/pitches of voice?

Re: Cautionary tales

Hey folks! So a bit of shameless self promotion, I've been working on a project of late: A series of video game reviews from the perspective of a very bored Super Villain inhabiting a hapless nerd. First video is uploaded. It's very new, so I'm working with a graphic designer to get a logo and eventually I'll have a website up and all of that fun stuff.

Take a gander if you care to. It's a bit crude, given it's my first attempt at video editing.

Hah! Didn't notice that. Not on purpose... I just misremembered the color I used.

Fixed that. :-)

Re: Cautionary tales

In reply to Mad Irish Murphy (msg # 768):

Aw, thanks. I really appreciate the pandering to my visually-focused oddness, that I do.

Purple's sort of posh/plummy in my head, but that shade's a bit greyer than rpol's plain purple, and so lower and more sibilant to me...crossed with Murphy's supremely well-rendered accent and how I was "hearing" him in Coral...think Arthur Burns' softly psychopathic rambles from The Proposition. Creeeepy.

Die roller, o die roller - why hast thou forsaken me?

5 Chips for a bloody Shaken result. If I'd be using real dice, I'd be throwing them away now.

... why not just burn 1 chip to remove the shaken rather than roll for it?

Re: Cautionary tales

Ah, you misunderstand!
I had to burn 5 chips to a) hit) and then b)cause damage that amounts to a Shaken result of the enemy.

... which I'm pretty sure The Stray will get rid of by spending one of his own many, many chips he has now. :-)

Re: Cautionary tales

Well, you guys ARE kinda in the home stretch of this campaign...wouldn't want to make it easy for you now, would I? ;)

Also, it would have helped if you hadn't tried a head shot while running. -6 penalties are nothing to sneeze at.

But actually, I'll probably save the chips for other bad guys.

The Amazing Evans:
Evans grabs his devices and bolts from the cabin as well, taking a shot at one of the bulls as he does do.

William's shot flattens against the bull, who bellows in rage. Evans' shot actually punctures the tough hide of another of the monsters, and it collapses, bleeding.

<Aqua><small>((OOC: You DO realize you just set William up to get gored, right?

Staring down his gun in a one-on-one duel is when William works best. I hope.

Certainly not, and you've hit the mark. Five of Los Diablos Negros or whatever they are are certainly not what I'd call easy! :)

Where'd the priest go? Danny's been stashed/tied up a tree (a tree very firmly told to watch him) with the remainder of his clothing in the middle of nowhere, but we had Father O'Rourke when we left, I think...did JohnJohn come?

In reply to Adrian Vega (msg # 777):

There aren't actually Los Diablos...5 of those would result in a TPK. No, these are just some of the bulls that Ward has been monkeying with, driven to a rage by Mirror Serpent agitating the snake spirits within them.

Uh-oh, Adrian. Hope the dice roller loves you when that boiler explodes... but hopefully, the thing takes a few of these damned bulls with it.

Re: Cautionary tales

We'll have to see. I drew about as poorly as I could have, but I did post that he threw himself clear of the thing when it crashed, and I accordingly forfeited the defensive bonus taking cover in the wagon would have given him against the bull's first attacks, putting him out in the open to be attacked...so hopefully that counts for something in his favor when it blows.

The boiler will explode in a Large Burst Template for 3d10 damage. Being clear of the wreck doesn't put him far enough out side the radius of the explosion to come...

Ah. I think O'Rourke is busy tying up Danny and will be along shortly, and as for John...he contacted me as we were getting in gear, said he'd post that day, then vanished. I dunno if he's around or not.

Re: Cautionary tales

Yeah, between dentist appointments, trying to keep the remaining players of one of my games from fleeing, and working on my video reviews, I found myself a little swamped. Anyway. I should be good. I'll try and hit a daily stride. If I falter, feel free to NPC. Don't want to hold up the game.

Re: Cautionary tales

I'm going to be offline for a little while thanks to a combination of training for work and running a marathon Sunday followed by a short vacation. I'll update as often as possible, most likely via my phone

yes this is getting copy & pasted into all the games I'm in X_x
