The manitou don't care if people take well to crawling out of their graves...in fact, they probably enjoy causing just that sort of misery. The question really is, would you be bothered playing a harrowed, if it came down to it?

I was gonna try and boost the Marshal's trait that he used for whipping up his concoction or the woman's Vigor, if that would have helped her chances of recovery.

Ah. Well, right now he's relying on his Mad Science skill, if you want to still try and boost it.

Re: Out Of Character: The Circle W Ranch ((OOC IV))

The Stray:
On the matter of the Crowcatrice...
...they've simply mistaken Exodus for a trained crow. Still pretty unusual, but I'll get to it, don't worry.

A trained crow with glowing red eyes? Incidentally, I picture Exy's voice something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kc2zTAixMIQ

The Stray:
This is CB we're talking about. The Dice Roller hates him for some reason.

It's a Comanche. On the other hand, CB believing he's definitely going to die generally means the dramatic tension's a-humming. Walk through him, laddie! If he tries to be all solid at you, shoot 'im.

...I'm also amused that the preacher remembers his talk with Carl as a long chat, considering the man contributed two words to it. He should take the Good Friday service in the Town Hall, that'll cheer people up.

Re: Out Of Character: The Circle W Ranch ((OOC IV))

Ha! That does sound pretty nifty...Expy tends to be less foul-mouthed, though.

True, but they were the two most important words of his life. And most of the nonverbal communication got counted, as well. And the letter.

I dunno, a service by a brand new preacher about the day their savior was nailed to a stick of wood might not go over so well, especially if the little scene Itza-chu has prepared gets discovered.

Did y'all see that the next PEG setting is going to be Deadlands Nior?

http://www.kickstarter.com/pro...20095/deadlands-noir

Thinking of kicking in some $$$ for it.

Heheh, and blow less raspberries, but you see what I mean. Did you just automatically call Exodus Expy?

True, true. [pause] I hope Percy doesn't go to church before that's washed off, I mean imagine sitting in Mass or what have you, then noticing the wall appears to be covered in bloody letters apparently commanding you to save the father of a devil bottle with bad phonetic spelling, it'd be enough to scar you for life...

Any preacher's better than none, surely? And Himself was nailed there to deliver them all...He just took a day off to redeem folks Downstairs first.

Looks interesting, can't wait to see what PEG dreams up.

I'm giving them funds and blaming it on my home Deadlands game that I had set in New Orleans.

@Charging Bear: I'd certainly like to see what the Deadlands world looks like time-adjusted...seems pretty sweet. I'd like to send funds myself, but I don't currently have a way of doing that (no debit card).

@Alouette: Er, yes?

I'm pretty sure he has by now.

True.

You know, that Deadlands Noir concept looks like it would be perfect for a Deadlands/Call of Cthulhu mash-up adventure. I might have to run such a game if this becomes a reality.

Not a bad combo Adrian!

I think I've got the PDFs of Agents of Oblivion and Realms of Cthulhu from Reality Blurs stashed on my home computer...

I think that is in some ways the most likely response to a vision of many entities of the Cthulhu mythos, if any response is possible.

That man has clearly never heard of 'stop, drop and roll'.
not that it'd do him any good since he's covered in kerosene, but the alternative doesn't bear mentioning.

Re: Deadlands Noir: Interesting. I'm just curious about how they want to set up the typical group adventures. Those detective stories usally are one man against the system, so to speak.

And I found the clues to be pretty hard...

Re: Out Of Character: The Circle W Ranch ((OOC IV))

They'll probably add some pulp action in, as that's also the same time period as Doc Savage and his crew. Remember, Westerns are usually "one man against the system" style stories, too...lone gunmen and mysterious drifters abound. And yet Deadlands makes it work.

William Pierce:
"Victoria seems to be the obvious destination. So we go after the whores."

William and Vinny had the clank point them out that the "other vampires" went away southwest out of town, if they believe it (but then it did find them and know what they were).

... I thought that was where Victoria was at? I'll need to get the geography straight, I guess.
My awesome Tracking roll might help with that, though?

Also: As Undead, do I suffer from Wound penalities normally?

Since you're a Harrowed, yes, wound penalties affect you normally.

Alouette pointed in the general direction of Victoria (westerly). If course, he's going to find a lot of trouble no matter which way he goes...

You're not undead, you're just differently alive!

Blackthorn is slightly further south in my head than the Stray's, I think.

[pokes Long Ride thread] what be going on there? Also, is Itza-Chu really downed and on the floor or is that just for narrative propriety?
