Poor Murphs, he will be most disconcerted to be teleported to Hamburg. Go well!

At least he wasn't doing it in church or near its adoptive chick. It's not entirely happy with him, though, no.

Charging Bear:
Taking a deep breath, Charging Bear notes where everyone is and tries to figure out some form of game plan.

OOC: NO idea what I want to do.

You want to stroll on in there and go "'sup guys, I'm your replacement Charging Bear, nice ring o' torture you got going here. Mind if I put a few planks on the fire? Nice, let's break out the marshmallows."

I have no idea, either...the Comanche are about looking for the intruder, Carl and Is Not Afraid there are going round in circles in their discussion...I'm a little at a loss myself.

Oh, and Alouette? what was the Go go angel touch meant to do this time around?

Just introducing Adrian and Adrian's little friend to the Hawk - spirit check.

Carl'll think of something. He's good at that. Probably something racist, though, since his vast ignorance is why he'll never get over d6 Smarts. It amuses me no end that he's far more of a savage than CB or most of the Comanches there will ever be. What's the bowman's name?

While Charging Bear is exactly a fan of Carl and the Dust Adders

Aww, it's nice to have fans, even though Carl and the Dust Adders aren't actually a Goth Rock/Country band...you could try de-crucifying a vampire for shits and giggles. Carl still might attack you if he notices, but his attention's more on his own "tribe".

Re: Out Of Character: The Circle W Ranch ((OOC IV))

Carl suspects from Evans' and Wildcat's talking about vampires in the theatre in front of him, though he's not entirely sure what a vampire is (something that flies, possibly?) or how to deal with one.

...he'd probably free them anyway if he knew, since undead or not they're the right colour and female, and likely they'll want to take being horribly abused out on the Comanche rather than him.

So, I have a quandary. I don't want to ghost Wildcat, as I've not been given permission to do so, but her absence is beginning to get felt. Thoughts?

Re: Out Of Character: The Circle W Ranch ((OOC IV))

Has the player ever asked you specifically not to ghost them?

In the absence of such a request, I believe it is the GM's prerogative to ghost an absent player's character when necessary and appropriate.

If not, then I'd send a PM to let them know that their character's integral role in the story thus far somewhat begs their presence, and that unless asked otherwise informed you'll be ghosting them to keep them in the scene so they don't get left behind.

Even otherwise, to put myself in an absent player's shoes, I would rather Adrian be involved even though not under my control than sitting around somewhere, missing all the major action (which is every five minutes in Blackthorn) and then making an awkward transition back into the game where the other characters are wondering why they missed the whole shebang.

But wait! I've noticed a mistake, and one of those massive hits against you has to be rerolled!

...and is still massive.
You know, I my theory is the dice roller is psychic, and knows when a character's supposed to be lucky or unlucky - some of you will know what I'm talking about when I say it adores Kerry Faust in much the way it deplores Charging Bear.

What Adrian said. We can't leave Wildcat locked in the privy indefinitely, and it'd be hugely unfair to leave her ambiguously wandering the streets in the event of Comanche attack. You could do it mininmally, like "posse comes up to find Wildcat overseeing the hauling of hot water to roofs, she signals she'll talk to them in a minnit" so that you could give her a presence but didn't have to navigate the angel-talk, even.

Re: Out Of Character: The Circle W Ranch ((OOC IV))

It did seem to enjoy giving Faust the upper hand a lot. And it also seems to hate Danny, especially while he's trying to escape.

I figure she's currently engaged in that Streetwise Roll she made before we stated the new chapter threads, now that her conversation with William over. That was to check the towns defenses and see that everything was in place. This would put her over by either City Hall or The Old Mining Offices, both of which are out of earshot of the Grand Bull.

Re: Out Of Character: The Circle W Ranch ((OOC IV))

Danny is not good at making friends. Aye, and you can guarantee that the only one likely to remain unaffected by this run of Jokers in combat is Alouette...

If she was at City Hall that'd give her a bit more time (waiting on Murphs to get back), the knowledge from the sucessful check that Carl's gone missing and access to any holy buckshot already being made. Tim's there for her to bother, too, though he'd probably just growl at her and make the Adders there close in and growl at her too if she tried.

Re: Out Of Character: The Circle W Ranch ((OOC IV))

Actually, Aloutte's Schizophrenia is activated each time any player draws a Joker in combat, not just those present around it at the time...though I don't think that counts for the GM's characters. So the Hawk might get a chance for a few words...

Makes sense. I'll do that, then.
