Re: Kickstarter for Stone & A Hard Place

I pondered it for a second but as I've got DLNoir, WWRome and ETU collecting dust on my virtual bookshelf ... I don't NEED to get any more books

Re: Kickstarter for Stone & A Hard Place

Nobody needs more books, but since this is also the DLR Book o' The Dead and the Southwest Sourcebook in addition to the plot point campaign, well, how could I say no? I can't get more than the PDF, but every time I get a new DL book, it just pumps my interest in these games further.

Re: Kickstarter for Stone & A Hard Place

People with no books need more books. [nod]

Meanwhile, to return to the theme of unusual deputies and their career prospects, apparently Sir Nils Olav, Colonel-in-chief of the Norwegian Royal Guard, has been a knight for a while now.

So.

Time to show you this.

Core Rules:
Highly Flammable targets, such as a scarecrow or someone covered in gasoline, catch fire on anything but a 1.

19:32, Mon 10 Nov: Alouette, on behalf of Marina Vanderholt, rolled 1 using 1d6, rerolling max with rolls of 1. fire check.

Re: So.

To add to the dice roller's sudden fondness for our favourite vamp, Gangatsu then Al both failed their Notices to spot her licking cow blood/crawling along the hallway. Jake did see her escaping from outside, but didn't tell anyone.

...but hey, motivation to continue a career in vampire-hunting, am I right?

*sigh* William just really, really wanted to kill her.
And now he has to go off after her, of course.

Re: So.

I know, really I do...remember when I asked if he'd left the room there, and that William could sense her presence, but didn't feel it end when she 'died'? I didn't want to string that episode out, but I didn't want to give you no hints, either. In truth, I would have handwaved it and just jotted a note that she didn't make it to safety before sunup if no-one had checked.

Besides, now William knows/is starting to get the information to work out what he saw from the air (that rider with the 'bundle' on his saddle...?), he knows his goal is in the same direction as the posse's, so the sooner Sarah and O'Rourke are rescued, the better, yes?

Edit: Oh, and I'm pretty sure you guys downstairs heard Pierce going nuts.

Re: So.

Despite everyone's extremely valiant efforts.

I'm between frustrated for William and a kind of awe at her sheer will to live, myself.

William speaks English. Might have picked up a little Lakota or the like during his travels.

Murphy speaks Spanish, English and Gaelic.

Re: So.

Alouette could speak Spanish if Spanish was spoken to it long enough to reconstruct its knowledge, and the Hawk speaks Chumash, Cherokee and English (and the Spirit Tongue, naturally, but not whilst bound).

Carl speaks English, a few Spanish words, and randomly-flailing-with-knife language.

Alouette:

[[Are you super-sure about that? Both?]]

Jake Lawrence:
"huh.. " Jake said with a slight shrug as nothing came of his willing power into himself. He put the coin away and went to see what was going on with the fuck-fuckity-fuck-fuck brigade.

Does that mean you wanted to do neither/had second thoughts about both? 'Cause it'll still draw attention your way, and that coin will be burning hot from the attempt.
