Re: OOC
No time for an IC post at the moment, but I'll note that the "honey with a drop of Scotch" description was used to model my "real" casting for Caitlyn, jazz pianist/singer Diana Krall. That's a casting that's held through all three iterations, including one set in 1970's London where her first name was a much-more-British Philippa. (Mr. Booke, in that incarnation, was Alastair.)
Edit to expand, once I've got more time on my hands: Bell & Booke were originally created as NPCs for a BtVS PBeM game I tried to run that fell apart between character creation & the end of episode 1. I later found our current Big Bad running an Angel game that was looking for players, and I really still liked their concepts. That game also seems to have fallen by the wayside, for reasons I don't happen to know. When he announced the "auditions" for this game, I submitted an RTJ, and told him who I was. Although he didn't give me any of the primary cast, he agreed that their concepts were too interesting not to give them another chance.... and thus, we've got a pair of player-controlled NPCs.
Ms. Bell's "casting shot" has always been Diana Krall. Mr. Booke's original pic was one of an old Peter Cushing, although when they moved to the Angel game, I revised his age downward, from his 70's to his late 40s or early 50s.
There's more to both Gabriel & Caitlyn that immediately meets the eye. (Somebody has already gotten a clue to that.) If you were a player in the Alias Investigations game, please don't spoil anything you know, as I think that this time our GM is on board with me being able to reveal things a little bit more slowly.
