Re: OOC

Just in time to prepare for baseball?  :D

While we're here, I'll give you the lowdown on classes:

The "Powers That Be" of Ambrose Jepson intend students to receive a well-rounded, eclectic education.  You'll get equal parts arts, sciences, liberal arts, social sciences, and athletics.  Think of any classes you think your character would take and pm me an ideal "schedule".

I'll tally the results and pair characters by the most popular choices.

Re: OOC

I got a post in on the soundtrack thread, but haven't really been able to introduce myselves.

I'll be taking NPC duties for both Gabriel Booke and Caitlyn Bell, the joint proprietors of Bell & Booke. It's a quiet little used-and-rare bookstore in Columbia Square, known throughout the state for its wide-ranging selection, Mr. Booke's phenomenal ability to identify a desired item from even sketchy descriptions, and his extensive contacts (and corresponding ability to procure almost anything a customer might want).

Caitlyn is known to the clued-in as a practitioner of the Old Faith who also occasionally sings and plays the piano at one of the local coffee houses.

Re: OOC

The cheerleading team needs a coach?  I would have thought the best coach for them would be a Greyhound Coach one-way to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Re: OOC

Melba Ellenberger:
Phaeton was not so much a car as a science project.  It was Melissa's pride and joy and only she and her best friend Gabriel were allowed to ride in it.  It knew this of course.  Today, Melissa drove to Gabriel's house and waited for him to be ready.

Did you mean Garrett?

Yes, I did mean Garrett.  Sorry about that.  This computer's as responsive as a submarine right now and life's too short to wait until I can proofread.  (In fact, life would still be too short if I was a glacier).

Re: OOC

Sorry I was so terse; I got cut off by a student coming in and didn't get to finish until I had to race out the door to go teach. Mostly, I was being sure that I wasn't being expected to know something that I don't, yet.

However, everybody feel free to look at something in the storyboards thread. A couple somethings, actually, by the time you read this.

Hah. Last time I had a character wander into that bookstore he failed a covetous check and ended up in a viewing room, absorbed in a book he could barely read... It's possible he starved to death in there. :-P

Darius should have no such compunctions though. Actually, I can't even think of a reasone he'd have ANY desire to enter Bell & Booke :)

    Algebra--Gracie, Scott.

6th Period:
P.E.--Coach Cordova (teacher), Buffy, Chan, Darius, Garrett, Gracie, Melba, & Scott.

I'll update the list as we go...

Jumping on a plane this afternoon, and will be chaotically traveling/spending-time-with-family over the next few days, then flying home on Saturday. While I'll undoubtedly have internet access, my time will likely be far more impeded than usual.

Re: OOC

Hey all, I'm waiting for Thanksgiving weekend to finish.  We'll let players return & get their bearings. Plus, I work on weekends!  :)  If I see a spot here or there to update, I'll do so.  I just want our "stragglers" to have their chance to post before moving along.

Otherwise, I'll update by Monday! (probably even tomorrow night)

Re: OOC

Yeah, I'm kinda warn out from Thanksgiving. Some shopping (small), some driving around (more) and some drinking (even more) later, I think I'm ready to sleep the rest of the weekend. ;)

Good thing I have nothing to do yet. For the most part. :D

STUDENT MENTOR -> Is this like a Teachers Assistant / Tutor deal? Darius is physically present in the class I imagine?

Re: OOC

Darius: Yes.  The school encourages older students to mentor the younger ones.  You're functioning as a Teacher's Assistant and receive class credit for it!

Gracie: I'll be updating tomorrow night--I have something in mind for you!  >:D
