Military Information
The Aurion Military is divided into two major divisions: the Homefront and the Battlefront. Each division consists of over 10,000 troops. The division are fluid, with some platoons or even whole battalions switching gears on the fly, though generally units are built with a particular division in mind.

Military ranks in and of themselves are divided into two primary classes, the Soldier Class and the Officer Class. Soldier Class units are field operatives with little authority. Corporals and Sergeants are Soldier Class Officers, given command authority over subordinate Soldier units, but work under Officer superiors.

Generally Speaking, a Corporal leads recruits, a corporal is commanded by a Sergeant, a Sergeant is commanded by a Lieutenant, etc. The chain of command is technically more complex than this, but this example is close enough. The ranks are as follows:

Soldier Class

Pay Class   Rank

S-1         Recruit
S-2         Recruit 2nd Class
S-3         Recruit 1st Class
S-4         Specialist (Strike, Defender, Ranger, Medic, Caster)
S-4         Corporal
S-5         Specialist First Class
S-5         Sergeant
S-6         Master Specialist
S-6         Sergeant First Class
S-7         Elite
S-7         Master Sergeant
S-8         Master Elite
S-8         Sergeant Major

Officer Class

Pay Class   Rank

O-1         Lieutenant
O-2         Captain
O-3         Major
O-4         Colonel
O-5         Brigadier General
O-6         Major General
O-7         Lieutenant General
O-8         General
N/A         His Royal Majesty The King of Aurion, General of the Armed Forces

S-3         20 CP
S-4         30 CP
S-5         45 CP
S-6         60 CP
S-7         80 CP
S-8         1 SP

O-1         60 CP
O-2         80 CP
O-3         1  SP
O-4         1 SP, 25 CP
O-5         1 SP, 50 CP
O-6         1 SP, 80 CP
O-7         2 SP, 10 CP
O-8         2 SP, 50 CP

Inoperative pay - The minimum wage that an individual can obtain in a given rank. This wage is generally paid to active soldiers and officers who are not currently involved in active duty or are on leave. Inoperative pay is given on a weekly basis. The minimum amount that an officer can be paid is twice the pay of their highest ranking subordinate, or the value listed above, whichever is higher.

Wages for soldiers and officers who are currently in active duty are paid in part based off of unit size, mission assessments, and officer reports. Operative pay is given on a monthly basis and does not include the natural spoils of battle.

Re: Military Information
The unit that is formed by our PCs and NPCs is a Platoon. A Platoon consists of two Squads, which in turn consist of two Combat Teams. This creates a distinct chain of command.

A Combat Team is generally lead by a Corporal or, in the absence of a Corporal, a Specialist (S-4). A Squad is lead by a Sergeant (S-5), and a Platoon is lead by a Lieutenant (0-1). We will elect two PCs as Corporals and, later on, one of these Corporals will be voted in as a Sergeant.

At the beginning of the game, all PCs and NPCs will be a Recruit (S-1) and they will be acting solely as a squad. As such, for a while, they will be lead solely by a Sergeant. Eventually, a PC will become a Sergeant, and the party will begin acting as a platoon lead by a Lieutenant. The current chain of command as it pertains to the party is as follows:

Squad 1 Corporals: Kenjiro, Ayame

Squad 1 Sergeant: Kenshin Kuroshima, Cirno

Platoon 13 Lieutenant: Sir Glenn of Cheshire

Company 7 Major: Sir Maes Hughes

Colonel of the 4th Battalion: Sir Roy Mustang

Brigadier General of the 3rd Regiment: Sir Alexander Louis Armstrong

Major General of the Battlefront: Dame Misato Katsuragi

Lieutenant General of the Aurion Military: Dame Jeanne of Arc, Duchess of Orleans

General of the Aurion Military: Sir Belgen Gunther, Duke of York

Master General of the Aurion Military: His Royal Majesty Syaoran Clow, King of Aurion, General of the Aurion Armed Forces

Re: Military Information
Command units have special abilities that set them apart from other units. The bonuses they gain are universal, function like feats, but do not require feat points. The abilities are as follows:

Corporal: A Strike Team Corporal grants a bonus to Attack and Magic equal to one-fourth of their level to all units within two tiles of them. A Defense Team Corporal grants a bonus to Defense and Spirit equal to one-fourth of their level to all units within two tiles of thme.

Sergeant: A Sergeant restores 5% of their maximum hit points to allies within 2 tiles. Alternatively, they restore 5% of their maximum feat points to allies within 2 tiles.

Lieutenant: A Lieutenant that appears in combat can sacrifice speed points and give them to any single ally within ten tiles. A Lieutenant outside of combat can call in reinforcement units from the Squad Reserves.

Major: A Major in combat can inspire their subordinates, resulting in a bonus to either offensive or defensive stats equal to one-fourth of their level to all allied units. A Major outside of combat has clearance to call in ranged support.

Colonel: A Colonel in combat demoralizes all enemy units within 5 tiles, reducing their Attack, Defense, Magic, and Spirit by one-fourth of their level. A Colonel outside of battle has clearance to call in a magical artillery strike.

Brigadier General: A Brigadier General in combat demoralizes all enemy units within 5 tiles, reducing either their Offensive or Defensive attributes by one-half of their level. A Brigadier General outside of combat has clearance to call an allied Lieutenant into combat as well as any order a subordinate has clearance for.

Major General: A Major General in combat demoralizes all enemy units, reducing either their physical or mental attributes by their level. A Major General outside of battle has the clearance to call an allied Major into combat, as well as any order a subordinate has clearance for.

Lieutenant General: A Lieutenant General in combat demoralizes enemy units within 5 tiles, reducing their speed by one-half their level. A Lieutenant General outside of combat has the clearance to call an allied Colonel into combat, as well as any order a subordinate has clearance for.

General: A General in combat demoralizes all enemy units, reducing the movement efficiency by 1. A General outside of combat has the clearance to call the Lieutenant General into combat, as well as any order a subordinate has clearance for.

King: When The King is in combat, all allies gain a +1 bonus to movement efficiency. The King can sacrifice Speed in order to grant twice this amount to any single unit in combat. All allies within two tiles of The King restore 10% of his maximum hit points and feat points.
