Donato de Casa-Branca:
How's the court preparation going on her end?

She's been to Seattle twice and is going back Monday night for at least a week.  They are starting jury selection next week. She recently said the only times she isn't thinking about work is when she's sleeping and when we are camping, but even camping she has to keep an eye on her email.

 Go Iceland!

As a recently immigrated Frenchman in London, I'm even more happy about this.

Re: Not Dead Yet

I really think this could be Pittsburgh's year to earn that seventh Lombardi if two things can happen; a) The team stays healthy (been plagued by the injury bug for the last 5 seasons) b) LeVeon Bell can get over his "gun-shy" regarding his knee injury. Would love to see Big Ben go out with three rings.

There's always TV shows or movies. Or fly-fishing.

I never know what's going to happen in the NFL.  By that, I mean whatever I think might happen is usually wrong, unless I wait until week 15 to decide.

Oh, or smoking meat. Wines. Whiskey, or whisky. Camping. Destiny (the video game) on PS4.

Worse comes to worst, I'm thinking of starting my own Pathfinder game. Actually, possibly two different ones, though one is better thought out.

Wine is always a good way to pass the time.  Failing all else, nothing like basketball when no one's around to see you miss a three pointer.

I am very, very guilty of missing my three pointers.

Wine is fine but Vodka is quicker...and oddly never gives me a hang-over...or makes my face feel hot, and turn red.

Boo Flyers!!
Go Rangers!!

Can't watch sports any more. Too many commercials, I'm highly ADHD, and ESPN has gotten so political that I just can't listen to the talking heads anymore.

And Whiskey tastes better than both of them, though I love a good dry red.

And the obvious ignorance of the refball that takes place in the finals of most series.

I don't know how they decide which 25% of the penalties they call in the finals, but the refs can't seem to figure how to split it halfway down the middle for each team.

France v Germany tonight...

If you want an idea of how intense that might be, google Battiston vs Schumacher 1982...

I hear ye - my wife has the attention concern, but the sell-sell-sell drives me up the wall.  I PVR everything to skip the commercials and blahblahblah filler.

One of my buds insisted on watching one big event in real time and it.was.painful.  He knew it wasn't happening again.

Re: Not Dead Yet

I usually listen on the radio, but most sports games happen at work or while I'm driving anyway.

I feel you for having to watch an event live, though.  Fighting for the bathroom, overpaying for beer/water, and no space to breathe anywhere but miles away from the stadium...
