Glisson is the northernmost of the countries of Ellesland. Trapped between its sinister neighbours to the south in Ereworn and the ice-pack beyond the Mountains of Brack to the north, it is an unquiet place where the old ways are crashing head-on into the new.

Outside the walls of Glissom City, the old ways hold. Reivers raid rural settlements, killing and pillaging, making honest trade impossible.

Beyond their forts lie ancient forests said to be populated by faeries and darker things, ruins left by the Selentine Empire a thousand years ago, and the mountains with their strange inhabitants.

And in the north people still talk of the ancient Fomorians and their glass towers, and abandoned cities under the ice.

It is a wild land, in need of strong leadership.

But King Durindar has been seen only twice in two years. With the heir to the throne a reckless adventurer, many are saying that it is time for
a change in Glissom. And a change is coming.

Characters will be 4th Rank and newly arrived in the capital city, Glissom, which bears the name of the fief.

Game is open to all official Professions of appropriate background and opputunities exist to 'play test' the three new Professions ( Hunter, Priest and Knave) under GM restrictions.

Knowledge of the system is not essential as I'll be happy to walk anyone through Character Creation.

In all my DragWars games I have played;
2 Knights (Sir Almeric, Sir Adelbert), 1 Barbarian (Einar Tamberskelf), 1 Assassin (Nazir al-Nazari Ishmai’li), 2 Mystics (Brother Cedric Cottarsley, Jaeger) 1 Friar (Brother Michael), 1 Priest (Father Valerio Manfredi).

Never played an Elementalist before.  If I was going to do it, a Glissom Campaign would be the time.
Didn't get a good run at the Priest last time, and I'm eager to discover the higher ranked abilities.

Can't decide between Elementalist, Friar, or Priest...

Hi, would be interested but about to go on holiday for a few weeks so couldn't start until late August. I played DW when it first came out in the 1980s. I am about to start in Bonivant's game here in RPOL, and probably in Muriwo's game as well.

Would like to play a magic user of some kind. Ideally Warlock or Sorceror, but can be flexible depending on the make up of the party.

I have the Magnum Opus rulebook on PDF, and am pretty active on RPOL.

Hi, i'm interested in playing.  My name is Nick and I also live in Australia (Melbourne).  I have all the original DW books and have run a few adventures before.  I'm a newly joined member of the dragwars yahoo group.  I'd be interested in trying a playtest profession, Hunter or Knave.

I have some more questions if thats ok:
1. Will it be a problem with the time difference (assuming you're not is Australia that is...)?
2. How often will we be participating in the game? Several times a day? Once a day? etc.
3. Is the Hunter profession the one on the Serpent King website? Where would I find the Knave profession?

1. Time difference is no problem as I'm also in Melbourne. :)
2. Ideally 1x every 1 or 2 days.
3. The Hunter profession will be using the Beta thats on the SK site but with only 3 initial skills as that seems to be the growing consensus through playtesting.
Knave is also from the Players Book and as the Beta has not been released character creation will be via PM only with a fair chunk of oversight from myself.
