Cross-Genre Adventure: Newbie Friendly!

You are an average townsfolk in a fantasy setting, and you'd like to become an adventurer. You haven't yet gotten any real degree of training, but you're enthusiastic.

Or desperate.

You have two options, based on your preferred posting rate:

1. Daily Posters: You come from a Greekish culture where "Heroes" are celebrities. In fact, most people have become entirely dependent on "Heroes" to rescue them whenever anything goes wrong. You will be someone deciding to give the "Hero" business a shot.

2. Weekly Posters: You come from a high-magic feudal European setting. "Adventurers" have less hero worship, but it still beats milking cows or sewing trousers.

Heroic Apotheosis is a GURPS game about dimensional travel. We start out with Heroic Fantasy, but we're not staying there.

Almost two dozen players have taken part in this game in the year it's been running, and most of them are still involved.

If you played before but left because you were too busy, or your character died, or you didn't like the pace of the game, you're welcome to come back. Groups are now divided by the posting frequency of the players, so whether you post daily or twice a week, you'll find people at your speed.

We've got a dozen players, in different groups, interacting on occasion. Come join in the fun with a game that's not going to disappear anytime soon.

Newbies welcome.

Yeah, here in the US it means basically "gangster". But my understanding is that in the UK (and maybe other English-speaking locations) it means something... different.

Registering *possible* interest. I've done GURPS for over a decade now, and done PBP for months now--though, on different sites than this one (still need to orient myself to this one). Need to figure out if I can commit to another game.

You could definitely say that.

To Tortuga:
I myself have a fair bit of interest in this, although it would be my fist time playing GURPS. I actually already cobbled together a character sheet for this, and I'm wondering how you put in character submissions.

I hope everyone interested takes him up on this offer.  From personal experience back when  I played, I can say, Tortuga is one great GM and the game itself is interesting to boot.

We have room for another character or two. This may be your last chance to get in for some time.
